I like Vermin, he runs as a satirical candidate but is decent when he's being serious.

He did say that he already had a VP, but that McAfee could be his President of Vice.

I'm all in for Jacob Hornberger, though.

I guess I've never actually seen him be serious.

I'm in on Hornberger as well.

100% for sure that Biden will offer Trump to a good ole fist fight.  I can hear it in now:

"  come on man.....come fight me"

Dear lord, I hope so.

Amazing thing is, when you think about having $60B, is his money probably made the $600M or whatever he spent in the 3 months he spent it.

I was thinking “my God so much of Bloomberg’s own money being wasted”.

And then I read your post. You’re right, money is nothing to him. He made that up very quickly with that kind of portfolio.

It's even more mind-boggling than that.

If you took 99.99% of a millionaire's money, he'd be left with $100.  But if you took 99.99% of Bloomberg's wealth, he's STILL worth $6M!

His wealth, on average, if you assume a fairly conservative 5% annual return makes over $8M EVERY DAY.  It's like Brewster's Millions - you literally couldn't even spend enough to keep pace with the investment gains.

I mean as a society. Rich people wasting their money for bullshit jobs when they could be helping people is obscene. He doesn’t get to decide if his garbage ass run was worth it or not. But instead, us normal people should pay for poors instead of fucks like him. Fuck that. I’d say same as Trump, but he decided on tax cuts instead, vs Biden saying f you your taxes are going up

Who knew Bernie was on Ohio Chatter!

He does get to decide. It's his money and he can spend it how he wants. You may see it as a waste - that is your perogative. But I would guess he dies not. He's an astute business man, knew the risks of this undertaking and decided to proceed.

I'm not sure I understand the rest of your comment.

Had a few drinks last night. Basically it's just annoying as fuck that rich people (in politics specifically) want to raise my taxes to help poor people rather than doing it themselves. And instead of donating $500M, Bloomberg wasted it doing nothing, then basically cried on stage when he ended his race.

Also in regards to Bloomberg and money, it's hilarious the thought that $100k spent by Russia on fbook gave Trump the presidency, but $500M couldn't even get someone into the top 5 in a primary.

What a waste of hundreds of millions.

So the Russians spent $300,000 on Facebook and got Trump elected, but Mini Mike spent $500 MILLION, and could nary get a democrat delegate.

Makes sense.

Biden has gotten worse before our eyes. I don't think him or Bernie would look very good vs. Trump (not that he even looks good) in a debate.

Watching//hearing the montages of Biden’s gaffes is damn hilarious.

Of course, if Trump said those things they would be ‘lies’.

Gropey Joe is senile.  He is there because the swamp/deep state/establishment needs him there, to hope he wins and then control him as we go back to status quo.  We can only hope that does not happen.

So, Trump says something to influence the SCOTUS and the Dems/Media have full-on meltdown.

Chuck Schumer threatens Kavanaugh and Gorsuch and not a single leftwing source even covers it (at least not on the first page or two of google search).

OK, there is an article from NBC on Roberts slamming Schumer, and a couple articles from TheHill.com

Schumer should be escorted out of the senate building and investigated, as well as submitting his resignation.

Schumer should have a gag order on him.

All these Dems have been just shuffling the deck chairs on the Titanic.

Biden and Bernie have taken a seat in them.  Warren followers will give Bernie a bump.

He is such a slimy weasel.....

https://www.cnn.com/2020/03/05/politics/senate-republicans-chuck-schumer/index.html

"Of course I didn't intend to suggest anything other than political and public opinion consequences for the Supreme Court, and it is a gross distortion to imply otherwise. I'm from Brooklyn. We speak in strong language. I shouldn't have used the words I did, but in no way was I making a threat. I never, never would do such a thing. And Leader McConnell knows that. And Republicans who are busy manufacturing outrage over these comments know that, too."

First, liberals are the kings and queens of 'manufacturing outrage'.....

Second, what does Mitch McConnell have to do with this...it was Chief Justice Roberts that called him out for his threatening rhetoric......

Agreed.  Talking about it like "I'm from Brooklyn and we talk like that" is BS.  Regardless of your politics, you don't threaten a judge - especially if your in the US Senate.  Total disgrace.

Nah.  They've just decided it's "his turn."  Think Mittens in 2012.

That'd be fucking stupid.  He should, however, be questioned about it, because "we just talk like that" isn't good enough.

Theoretically, he could be meaning they'd try to impeach the judges, though.  It's not like there isn't a precedent, and that IS a means of ousting a judge.

I've noticed that this happens a lot.  Democrats come up with their own and parrot them as well (remember 'Drumpf'?), but it's funny to hear them come from the actual sitting president's own statements.

A guy from Toledo was sentenced for a threat made on facebook against AOC.  Chuck U. Schumer deserves similar medicine. “No one is above the law”, right.

I'm not sure if you are referring to Biden or Trump.

Trump says stupid shit all the time. Not only lies or falsehoods, but just mispronouncing shit all the time. Him and Joe are just like that.

You really want to talk about a gropey guy? Your dude bragged on tape about grabbing women....so I wouldn't use that one.

Joe isn't perfect by any means.

I think people would support  Biden over Trump because they like him and think Trump is an asshole. I think Biden's argument about a return to decency may work.

Now, it will be interesting to see the polls in those swing states over the next few weeks between Biden and Trump. I was looking at some state polls over at Cook Political report and 270 to win and Biden is leading Trump in PA, MI, and its basically tied in WI and AZ.

Yes, you can impeach a judge.  However, Schumer appears to be threatening impeachment, as a weapon, if he disagrees with a ruling.  Where does he get off constantly complaining about Trump abusing power, and then say that?

Use the DOJ to spy on a Republican campaign?  No big deal.  Impeachment without a crime?  It's the right thing to do.  Hey, let's stack the SCOTUS!  And let's end the filibuster!  Do an end-around the electoral college!   But but but....Trump is a fascist, and the real threat to our democracy?

I'm not defending him, for the record.  I've just seen people talking about treating him like he threatened their lives, and I think it's safe to pump the brakes on that.

Schumer's the guy who warned the President that the intelligence agencies have "six ways from Sunday to get back at you".  These guys love the idea of weaponizing government against their political enemies.

Most people know exactly what he was threatening.  And it was not their lives.  But Democrats have been telling us that rhetoric needs toned down and simple common words used in political discourse like "target", "crosshairs", or the like could inspire the unhinges nutjob to take that as a literal order.

I get it.  I think he was threatening impeachment, or perhaps stacking the SCOTUS.  In either event, those things are arguably far bigger abuses of power than anything Trump has done.  Does that game end any other way than one that nullifies or renders the courts virtually impotent?  The Constitution intended it to be an equal branch, so anyone who would take the actions Schumer appears to be suggesting should be removed from office.  Words I don't think rise to that level, but censure would be appropriate.

There's hidden fascism growing on the left that's being justified as necessary because the ignorant/uneducated/bigoted/backward right-wing is keeping the country from moving forward.  As usual, they don't fucking think and don't appear to grasp the consequences of the things they're proposing.

Agreed. It was so fucking dumb what he said. Especially as the Ds were also roasting Trump just last week for his remarks about the court.

Also, the D front runner, Biden, is trying to make a play about returning to decency....
