Indian Creek 2010
-
icskinsHow about some football talk.
-
MANAZEDropping Big Red they should at least be able to go 8-2 this year. Idk if that will be enough to make the playoffs but it would nice to see the drought come to an end.
-
GoChiefsThis will NOT turn into like the other 2 Creek threads. Keep it talk about INDIAN CREEK FOOTBALL. Any posts that stray beyond football will be deleted.
-
MANAZEHow many starters are coming back this year?
-
d.woods50fan.creek lost a lot of seniors but had a decent freshman class that that should see time in 2010 as sophs ...
-
MANAZEso is it going to be a rebuilding year then or will the sophs that will be playing good enough to replace those lost?
-
icskinsI expect a team pretty similar to last year. There should be a few younger guys that contribute, overall the team will be smaller than a lot of others. I don't know what to say about wins/losses yet.
-
Skin_ManI would say like it will be more of a transition year. There is a solid group of letterman back.
Two line man one started the other played in every game, and played early.
The wide receivers all rotated last year and there are 2 of the 5 are back.
Two TE played and one is back.
QB Back and his backup (Backup should see time at WR)
RB is solid. FB is back, and the backup TB is back. He played more as the year went.
Defense is about the same story. They rotated 5 guys in the secondary and the same two that played WR are back.
The one has started every game for two years.
LB should be solid with two of the four starters back.
The d-line will have to replace 2 or 4 starters.
So to sum up the post there are guys that have played a lot, but there is a lack of depth that will have to filled by underclassman.
Go Creek.
(Thanks, GoChiefs) -
goldenwarriorHow many do you expect to have in uniform on Friday nights this year? As I recall from some posts on here, there were only between 30 and 40 boys dressed this past year.
-
goldenwarriorSounds like the skill postions are in decent shape, but the lines on both sides is what's in question.
-
wags6817The numbers should be right around 45 this year.
-
MANAZEwow thats preety good for Creek. It'd be nice to see them hit the 60s in the next few years.
-
Skin_ManCreek had 60 in 2008 -2-8
2003- 1-9
2002 1-9
I am happy with 40 and 6-4
the 98, and 99 teams had between 30-40 9-1 8-2 -
BuckCreekI would be happy with 35 to 40 hard nosed players instead of 60 that includes a bunch of kids that are just happy to be on the team.
-
Skin_ManI am with BuckCreek!
-
goldenwarriorQuality is always better than quantity. However, if they could get up in the 50-60 range with depth, that makes a big difference.
-
BuckCreekas the program improves I am confident the numbers will improve.
-
d.woods50fan.I believe they will stay around 30 - 40 for a while ... lots of reasons
-
homefieldI was wondering if there is any truth to the rumor i heard last week that after the new middle school is completed in mingo that indian creek will be looking to build a new football stadium in mingo close to the new school?
-
MANAZEI have also heard a rumor that Creek wants to have the High School on the same land as the new junior high so if its true putting the football field there would make sense.
-
FairwoodKingIs there any way Creek could raise the money to build a new stadium? I know it was like pulling teeth to get the money for the new middle school.

There is nothing wrong with it as far as i am concerned and i think it has alot of history to it but i was told that some members of the school board want to create a campus atmosphere and have everything at one location and it would help with the tax base for the city.peoplerfunny wrote:

Then that brings me back to my original question. If Creek has that much trouble raising money to build new school buildings, how in the world are they going to raise money for a stadium they don't need?homefield wrote:
