I am not sure what the exact amount is, but the field house was included in the levy that passed. Along with the middle school, it also included new windows and upgrades at the H.S. the field house, concession and restroom renovations, and a few small upgrades with the stadium itself.FairwoodKing wrote: We know that turf would cost about $600K. What would a field house cost?
I have heard a rumor that it also included lights at the baseball field, but I am unable to find out anything besides it being just a rumor.
I believe the boosters will be the ones paying the way for the play-clocks near each endzone... I believe they will be there for the start of the season. -
Al CaponeAccording to news 9 last night, Indian Creek is a million dollars in the red for the upcoming year. They will have to get rid of or buy out 15 teachers. So I cant see any upgrades to any athletic facilities in the near future.

This isn't "new" news... Remember when the school was supposed to be taken over by the state? Or what about when the rumor went around about the school district closing down? I wouldn't worry, IC will make it.Al Capone wrote: According to news 9 last night, Indian Creek is a million dollars in the red for the upcoming year. Skin_ManThe money is for upgrades and the money for operating is different.
The levy that was just passed can only be used for facilities. That will in turn free up other money.
The million in they are behind is due to the mill not running. Next year after they take the mill taxes out we will
get more money from the state. Cuts will be made but the school is not in danger of closing. -
MANAZE
the most memorable games that I ever played were in the mud. Creek doesn't have that great of field but when it rains it has one of the best muddy fields anywhere!FairwoodKing wrote:
Are you crazy? That's exactly why Big Red fans don't like playing in East Liverpool when it rains. All they have is mud!MANAZE wrote: I don't know if I want turf. Some of the best games are played in the mud. -

I know 4 "Minor's" from IC... 2 were teachers, 2 were players. Which "Minor" would you be referring to and what kind of "chance" are you talking about? Very vague statement bro...MANAZE wrote: If your such a Creek fan how do you not know who Minor is? -
CamomanWhat was spent on the track that is not used?
-
MANAZEHow many Minors coached at Creek? One of the Teachers was a woman the other I don't think knew much about coaching. I just don't get if your such a Creek fan that you can't figure out who I'm talking about. Think about it a little longer and if you still can't figure it out I'll let you know.
-
GoChiefsOr..you could just go ahead and tell him who your talking about to begin with? I'm a huge Logan fan..but I couldn't tell you jack about who coached them prior to Coach Amyx. OK..I know Coach Perry..but he was right before Amyx..I don't know anyone before that.

I am with Go Chiefs on this... You obviously know something I don't because there has never been a "Coach Minor" at IC. You are correct about the teachers, one male, one female and they were married. You would be surprised at what the teacher Mr. Minor knows about sports... He is a very intelligent man along with his wife, but neither of them have coached. They had a son who played football which is "one" of the Minor's I am talking about. He played defensive back wore #22 and is now in the Air Force Reserves, I know him well and he has never coached at IC. The other Minor played in the mid 90's and was a running back that wore #34. He was most famous for the game against CCHS where he fumbled 6 times in the game that was dubbed "The Fumble-itis Game". He went to Emporia State with a few other guys from his graduating year and did not stay there. He has never coached at IC either. So what are you getting at NAZE? If there is someone else that you are thinking of please tell me who so I can give you the input you are asking from me. Until then, I have no clue who or what you are talking about?MANAZE wrote: How many Minors coached at Creek? One of the Teachers was a woman the other I don't think knew much about coaching. Not sure I know what you are talking about? Was something done to the track? I know that the track and CC teams have had some success lately and have been raising money, but I have heard nothing from the Boosters about the track or anything done to it. If something was done to it, it would most likely be done by the Boosters.Camoman wrote: What was spent on the track that is not used? -
MANAZETwo years ago or so there was a coach on the field I didn't know who he was I ask someone and they told me it was Greg Minor. He was bald and had a crazy beard. If it wasn't Minor who is it then?
-
sonofsam
I can assure you it was not Greg Minor... He has never coached at Creek. Not sure who you are talking about? Two years ago the same coaches were there, the only one that isn't still there is Kessel and he did not have a beard and was not bald. The additions to the coaching staff over the last 2 years have been Coach Grinch from Shadyside who is co-offensive coordiantor with Hammack, and Coach Karas who is QB coach. Connor is still Head Coach, Kuczy still runs the defense, Last year Coaches Vandeborne and Barrett were seen roaming the sidelines as well, but neither were bald or had a beard. Not really sure who you are talking about Naze, but I will ask about this to see if I can get an answer. The only thing is if you don't know who this "Coach" was then why would you want them to give him a chance and what role would you want this coach to have? BTW, check your PM's.MANAZE wrote: Two years ago or so there was a coach on the field I didn't know who he was I ask someone and they told me it was Greg Minor. He was bald and had a crazy beard.
