Yes snyds I do! After going to the PCC game, and since I live about a qtr mile away from PCC I go to their Saturday games, and they should not beat ANY Ohio powers!
    IMHO

I just read this thread and i feel like I just did an hour of Cardio. Sweet Mary.

Why would I be upset that our rival that I respect gave us a good game? And I'm not mad about anything....just think you're nuts for thinking Poland would kill Ursuline. Poland lost handily to the only good team they played all year and then lost to a team they were much better than. I fail to see how this equation = Poland killing Ursuline. Poland would spend the night staring at the back of Allen Jones as he runs all over them

And I am going to miss this game now due to work. Very interesting article.

Listen, we all know that there is tension. But hey, tension used in the right way can make for an outstanding match-up. So the two schools have no love losses for each other. So what?

I honestly believe that this game is going to be alot closer than the Hubbard game. I just don't see Poland letting this get out of hand. I believe Mooney has the obvious upper hand given the talent level from A to Z. But I divide the heart of both teams evenly tonight. Execution along with heart can beat talent on any given night.

I assume this is on the Tube.....I will hide from any media coverage tonight and when I get home from work....I will watch this game.

Reading those articles, it's amazing how small minded Brungard can be :(

Most any coach in the world wants to compete against the best, not him

And the film thing is bush league for sure

My only fear in this game is that Fecko gets a lead at half and then sits on it and lets Poland back into the game. It's been PJ's downfall for years!

So here's to hoping that Mooney remembers to keep the foot on the gas...similar to what they've done the first two weeks of the playoffs!

Let's Go Cards!! Get it done tonight!!
  • Mooney44Cards
Brungard come off like a sore loser in that article, and they haven't even lost the game yet!

What a pansy. I hope we run it up on them now just because of Brungard.

Convincing? Maybe? But I don't think anyone from the Mooney nation thought this would a be a 17 point game. Let alone 7-7 at the half.
After hearing predictions of a "pounding", "Butt Whipping" and that "Poland is no better than Hubbard". I think Poland gave Mooney everything they could handle. I think more than one Mooney supporter went away from this game with a little more respect for for Poland's program and maybe a little more concerned about next week!

Way to go Dogs! You made us all proud to be Poland fans and supporters!

Were you at the game? Mooney kept Poland in the game in the first half. Mooney and Braylon Heard owned your precious dogs in the second half. I do have to admit that I thought Patton did a good job but what do you people see in Wollet? There isn't a whole lot of speed there and he surely isn't a very tough kid. He did see alot of Heard's number 5 when he ran past him for 3 tds and 195 yards.

Yes, I was at the game. The game where Patten only touched the ball 4 times. What were you watching that he impressed you so much. Yes, he scored Poland only touchdown and he played pretty well on defense. (But Mooney's offense is so one dimensional, its hard to tell how well he played on D) IMO Poland did not get him enough touches. Other than blowing by Mr. Heard one time on a incompletion, I thought he played OK But I've seen him be a lot more productive.

And I guess "Mooney Keeping Poland in the game in the first half " had nothing to do with Poland Defense playing well eh?

First of all, Patton did not blow by Heard on that INCOMPLETION, he had a half step, and if he caught the ball, which he didn't, he would have been tackled immediately.

As far as the predictions, you know that 90% of those on here were not from Mooney fans, so don't assume Mooney fans have any more or less of an opinion of your team than before.

Without getting in to the entire game, Poland fans should realize that Brungard, and the Poland administration not letting these 2 teams battle battle it out on occasion robs the kids, the Poland kids, of an opportunity to measure themselves against the best.

That's cheating your kids and basically telling them they can't compete
  • Bluepride13
Poland has a great program. I dont see a reason that they cant hang with Mooney in most years with a very good shot at beating them. Its a game that for sure the kids would want and by most of the fans. Its just a couple of people that make the decisions who are not only cheating the kids but the football fans in our area. I live in Warren and couldnt wait to get there to see these 2 great teams. Bottem line is the game would never be called a mismatch in most years. Poland is basically saying we wont play them but we will play them in the plaoffs because we have to. IMO...they should step up.
  • Cmhs74
ck9, I wasn't able to be at the game but I would say that winnning by 2 touchdowns and a field goal would be considered by most a convincing win, it sure wouldn't be under the heading of nail biter. In an earlier post Bulodog8 said "I think the one thing that Poland will have to their advantage in this game and might keep it respectful, is their defense. This unit has received very little credit this season and are phenomenal at stopping the run." Apparently Mr. Heard failed to read that post since he ran through their defense for 195 yards. A quote from CK9 stated "And I guess "Mooney Keeping Poland in the game in the first half " had nothing to do with Poland Defense playing well eh?" Congratulations to the Poland defense for playing a great half of defense but if I remember right a game consists of two halfs. I mean no disrespect to the Poland fans or their football team as they had a great season but you lost last night to a better team that was able to play four complete quarters, Poland was able to hang for two of them. Best of luck to the Poland fans and their sports programs in the future. And as Rocket08 stated most of the posters prediciting a blowout are not from Mooney, if you check the early posts you will see that I predicted a close game.
  • Mooney44Cards
Mooney beat themselves in the first half. They barely touched the ball. Onside kick and fumble stripped them of 2 possessions in the first half. So while the 7-7 score at half may APPEAR to be Poland's defense stepping up big, it was really Mooney making mistakes that Poland could not capitalize on. Not trying to take credit away from Poland, but theres no way Mooney should have given up the ball twice like that in a big game that was so close at the time. Had Mooney had 2 more first half possessions it could have been 14-7, 17-7, or 21-7 at half. But kudos to Poland for stopping Mooney on those 2 other drives in the first half.

I guess Poland's fumble on the 3 meant nothing either huh?
