I like Tequila.....usually keeps me from drinking for a few days. Brings out the soft side of me. I give out a lot more hugs after about 20 shots. Usually to the toilet.

Just read the article in the paper. Seems like the principle lied to him from the beginning! I am glad that Schrock told the TRUTH about what happened. I am disgusted with the entire bunch that run the school district!!! It shows, that the "powers that be", think the public are stupid! The really sad part of this, is that this bunch of A**HOLES, will probably keep Schrocks name off of the Stadium! The principle, Kieb, is a coward and has lied from the beginning. It will be interesting to see, who, wants to be head coach at a school with these NUMB NUTS running the show! Thank you Coach Schrock, for all the wonderful memories of SMITHIE FOOTBALL! God help the new coach!

    JJ68;1041693 wrote:According to my source:

Schrock was planning on retiring after this season and was waiting until school started back up to announce it.

But last month Principal Keib took upon himself to give Schrock a review without anyone knowing. In this review Keib rated Schrock unsatisfactory in 6 out of 30 categories.

Enter Judy Robinson who I truly believe didn't know Keib was acting a fool. I think Judy had heard that Schrock was set on retiring and she tried to make the process easy by typing up a resignation letter for him. I think they talked it over and both of them agreed that it was time, but the bad review by Keib might have made it seem like Schrock was being pushed out. But REGARDLESS Schrock was set on retiring so they signed the Gag order so that nothing would be mentioned and Schrock could announce his retirement like he is about to do this up coming week.

As far as Brent having something to do with this I wouldn't believe it.......

Smithville is Brents dream job. Everyone in the community expected him to have the head coach position once Schrock retired.

When Mike McCreary was fired from Wooster Brent applied for the job according to my source. This was a week or two before this stuff with Schrock went down. So why would Brent be applying for the Wooster job if he is orchestrating the outing of Schrock? It makes no sense.

According for to my source Brent isn't applying for Schrocks job because of how bad this made him look. According to my source the kids are ignoring this controversy for the most part and are talking about the future with Brent as the head coach.

It's sad how one man (Keib) who isn't from this community is tearing it down.

I'll admit I was wrong in the beginning when I was pointing fingers at Judy Robinson and the school board (although they did make some mistakes but who doesn't?). But I trust my source enough to put the blame directly on Keib.

Shrock threw Keib and Becker under the bus. Now we will see if the Board will put it in gear, drive away and put this sordid affair in the rear view mirror.
  • THE4RINGZ
The BOE might try to put it in the rear view mirror, but the Smithville voters will keep it in the front of their minds when they hit the ballot box.

I don't know if telling the truth is really throwing someone under the bus. Their actions were called to light.

The best thing from the daily record articles in when you scroll down to the comments bam makes the comment "sounds almost exactly the same as Wooster"

I saw that same comment. I liked the response.

I think Coach held back on some comments because he was not quite sure who all was involved and didn't want to make false statements. I do agree with him that more than Keib is involved. I do not trust this administration at all.

    My response was accurate right?

I was about to call that person out as being McCreary but didn't want to insult anyone if it wasn't him. But I guess someone that stupid deserves to be insulted like that.
  • THE4RINGZ
They said bring in new people and forget about the history in regard to Wooster football...that was exactly the plan people.
  • JJ68
I'm guarantee you all Keib is the @ass clown behind this.

From what I hear Becker is a nice guy but goes with whatever the administration says because he is too much of a b!tch to stands up for what right.

Hopefully this proves to everyone that Judy Robinson isn't ready to be the Superintendent. You don't let your small men handle issues the superintendent should be handling because if you do and they mess up........it ends up just like this.

The Board of Education.......your boy Becker messed up and spilled the beans about the straw vote and Judy Robinson (Who was about to be named the Permanent Superintendent) lied to cover for the BOE. If you cover for the BOE your guaranteed to keep your job right?

Well at least Wooster knows what the direction they are moving towards.

Here at Smithville no one has a clue what is going on. Let's just fire the coach that's been here for 35, create chaos and stay quiet. Oh and now what?
  • THE4RINGZ
Seems to still be a lot of finger pointing and story changing. Everyone trying to cover their own backsides. The story being so inconsistent leads one to believe we haven't heard all the facts. As Judge Judy always says, "Do you know why your story doesn't make any sense? Because it isn't the truth."

Good luck to the new coach over there, don't ruffle any feathers or you'll be looking for work.

If I can make it the the next BOE meeting I will address them and quote that.
  • TCB
What a mess. Keib had a role in this as the axeman, but I don't think this started with him. Someone supported him, and the comment about the "straw vote" rings true. Somebody on the BOE has dirty hands and isn't talking.
And you know who I feel awful for besides the boys? The assistant coaches. 35 years and you don't know if you have a job next season or not. I didn't see them announcing their retirements, and they're totally left in limbo. Who knows if a new guy wants to keep them.
  • Dr. KnOiTaLL
Wow, you guys are really gettin' at this today! I had heard that there really WASN'T a straw vote, and that when Becker said that it was a lie. If you all remember the articles I posted several weeks back in Wayne County League Football 2011, saying there was a 5-0 vote correlates directly with the principal's previous situation in which he is involved in a lawsuit at his old school. It's obvious that one person couldn't carry out everything in this situation, but I feel Schrock's comments make it fairly clear that Keib is steering the glass ship of lies... and right toward the rocks might I add! I feel that anyone else who is involved in the situation has simply assisted in the situation, but from what I've heard Keib has been after Schrock since he rolled into town last year. It will be interesting to see if anyone comments from the school in the upcoming days.

Sometime in the next couples of days I'm going to start a petition to recall the school board. It's probably not going anywhere as it takes money and lawyers to get this into the court systems but maybe they'd start giving us answers if they saw a petition with a couple thousand signatures.

I'll sign it....if we need money there are some wealthy people who are very upset lets do it.

    For those who care:

Scott Boyes, Dave Tschantz, Frank Besancon, Julie Finney, Melissa Craemer-Smith

Looks like there may be a couple insiders there.

I understand there were some peole with an axe to grind, but why take it out on a football coach? That is where I get lost in all of this.

    Opps. Missed one.

    Brent Steiner

Isn't Scott Boyes also the girls soccer coach at Smithville? How does that happen?

    Brent Steiner

    Jake

Brent Steiner was elected in November 2011, but was not part of the BOE when all of this happened. His term started in 2012. Let's be fair to him that he had nothing to do with this.
