Legendary Coach Ousted at Smithville

My mom worked in the treasurers office and built a house 5 ft outside Wooster School District.THE4RINGZ;1044899 wrote:Were you recruited solely to play football there? We keep losing all our talent.
Playing football at Edgewood was the worst experience of my playing career. The kids were more concerned about what color socks they wore and the coaches didn't really teach us anything. We got killed every game and the coaches never really corrected our mistakes or helped us develop. I learned more in my first week at Smithville than I did my 2 years at Edgewood. -

So Wooster lost another kid due to "lack of suitable housing"? Nice.
Edgewood has become a different story now. Rosters of 50-70 kids per grade. And they are on a nice winning streak. Should be an exciting next few years, especially given the new coaching regime. -

I didn't want to go Smithville or Wooster. At the time Waynedale was running the show and I was trying to convince anyone who would listen to send me there.THE4RINGZ;1044933 wrote:So Wooster lost another kid due to "lack of suitable housing"? Nice.

Glad to hear Edgewood has changed. The only thing exciting that happened when I was there was when Mr. Workman would dunk during the Faculty vs Students basketball game. I hate basketball. -
Dr. KnOiTaLLAny of you guys going to the meeting tonight? I would like to, but my schedule presents a conflict preventing me from making an appearance. Be sure to add updates if possible! I'm sure all of us in Wayne County are interested to hear what is said.

Tonight's meeting is for members of the 2011 team and their parents only. -
JJ68I'm pretty sure oldsmithie was a coach on the team this past season. Maybe he'll be at the meeting or know something tonight.

I stood in the stands with him during the Hillsdale game, so I'm doubting he's a coach.JJ68;1044958 wrote:I'm pretty sure oldsmithie was a coach on the team this past season. Maybe he'll be at the meeting or know something tonight. -

Perhaps they have changed the meeting, and I am unaware of it. The initial announcement only included these players and their parents. -
Dr. KnOiTaLLI wonder if Plant is going to try to sneak in as an undercover parent. LOL

CCRollyWow. Interesting times in Smithville for sure.

THE4RINGZJust saw it on Twitter. Huge shoes to fill in the Emerald Incorporated Village.

RedRider1This was the only possible outcome after the botched attempt to fire him.
Disappointing end to a great career, but at least he went out on his terms. -
Grahamclan25There wasn't a dry eye in the house after his speech. It's a sad day for all of us Smithies and I still cannot believe the school administrators tried to fire him. What the hell is going on around here! This is not the same town I grew up in 30 years ago. What a shame......

THE4RINGZSupposed to be getting some juicy details later
-
lilsmithieYou have shown our community, players and admnistration that you are the bigger person in this unfortunate situation. This is a prime example of why we have and will continue to support you.
Thank You -
THE4RINGZAfter Ramsey retired he worked as a coaching consultant with Haas at Cloverleaf. Welcome to Wooster Coach Schrock

JJ68Interested to hear exactly what went down. Unfortunately I have class all day and night tomorrow.
Kind of hoping the BOE and Superintendents hands are dirtier that I think they are. I'm ready to make some more videos and run their names through mud. -

The dirt won't come out for a couple of days. Schrock isn't talking until after the official gag order is lifted -

Till then I will be spreading rumors about Mike Smith and Les Miles becoming Woosters new coaches. With their powers combined they will get you exactly 2 points. -
