JJ68According to my source:
Schrock was planning on retiring after this season and was waiting until school started back up to announce it.
But last month Principal Keib took upon himself to give Schrock a review without anyone knowing. In this review Keib rated Schrock unsatisfactory in 6 out of 30 categories.
Enter Judy Robinson who I truly believe didn't know Keib was acting a fool. I think Judy had heard that Schrock was set on retiring and she tried to make the process easy by typing up a resignation letter for him. I think they talked it over and both of them agreed that it was time, but the bad review by Keib might have made it seem like Schrock was being pushed out. But REGARDLESS Schrock was set on retiring so they signed the Gag order so that nothing would be mentioned and Schrock could announce his retirement like he is about to do this up coming week.
As far as Brent having something to do with this I wouldn't believe it.......
Smithville is Brents dream job. Everyone in the community expected him to have the head coach position once Schrock retired.
When Mike McCreary was fired from Wooster Brent applied for the job according to my source. This was a week or two before this stuff with Schrock went down. So why would Brent be applying for the Wooster job if he is orchestrating the outing of Schrock? It makes no sense.
According for to my source Brent isn't applying for Schrocks job because of how bad this made him look. According to my source the kids are ignoring this controversy for the most part and are talking about the future with Brent as the head coach.
It's sad how one man (Keib) who isn't from this community is tearing it down.
I'll admit I was wrong in the beginning when I was pointing fingers at Judy Robinson and the school board (although they did make some mistakes but who doesn't?). But I trust my source enough to put the blame directly on Keib. -
Red RumI don't know JJ, the above account sounds a bit contrived, but it's probably about the best option in terms of damage control for those involved.
Hopefully, Schrock gives his account of the events in a few days. -

It's more accurate than it sounds. JJ was pretty much dead on.Red Rum;1041715 wrote:I don't know JJ, the above account sounds a bit contrived, but it's probably about the best option in terms of damage control for those involved.

Coach_08JJ is right I had already mentioned this back a couple of pages ago, Kieb is the main snake in all of this!

I'm disturbed and offended by this comment...The Bears have sent on of our "own" In Mr Thad Unkefer to BUILD the Smithie wrestling program. as Head Coach, he has done a fine job already.THE4RINGZ;1041353 wrote:If beast found the meeting he would somehow try to turn in into a recruiting meeting for the golden bares wrestling program. elitesmithie05You can say Keib contrived this all but it does not excuse the board or the super from having no spine during this entire embarrassing situation. Fire every last one of them....

beatobamaJust curious why he applied for Wooster job then? Don't think Brent was involved, but BOE, Super and principal all had their hands in it to some extent.

Why not apply for the head coaching job at the biggest school in Wayne County? If you land the job you work towards turning Wooster around while waiting for the Smithville job to become available. Great resume builder.beatobama;1042553 wrote:Just curious why he applied for Wooster job then? Don't think Brent was involved, but BOE, Super and principal all had their hands in it to some extent.
In my opinion the Wooster job is the best job in the county. I'm not sure who to give credit to for the Wooster youth league (I think it was Mike Baus) but it's great what they got going on there. Whoever becomes the next head coach at Wooster needs to assemble a good coaching staff that get's involved with the youth league and junior high team. Really get everyone of all ages to buy into what they are doing. If they can do that than Wooster is on the verge of greatness.
I love Smithville but Wooster has some much more potential to it than Smithville.
As far as I know there is no youth football league in Smithville.
We practiced on a crappy narrow field between the school, some pine trees and the baseball field.
When I played there the weight room and locker room combined was slightly smaller than the dining room and front part of Sams (although I hear the new facility is bigger).
The administration, superintendent, and principal were is.....I don't have to say anything about them lol. Maybe Brent didn't want to deal with them. I dunno.
Just because something is your dream job doesn't mean it's the best job for you. Kind of like how my dream car is a Venom GT but it'd be bad when I get on 30 west from Wooster and hit a deer while going 275 mph. -

Plus the fact that you'd already be a lung and kidney short from selling them in order to afford the darn thing.JJ68;1042824 wrote:Just because something is your dream job doesn't mean it's the best job for you. Bloody ToothbrushCommish.....
Looked up most common acronyms for BYOP......
Bring Your Own Pillow is the most common.
Bring Your Own Porn ranked 36th
Bring Your Own Pizza........NOT EVEN ON LIST!!!!!
Poor communication has toppled mighty regimes.....
Fall not......into this trap.
On the latest rumors in the Schrock firing debacle.....
I think there will be 2 stories.....
"The Official Story".....which will be loaded with half truths and outright lies. This story will be employed to deflect blame and create confusion about how events were interpreted. It will be specifically designed to calm the public fervor while maintaining course on the original agenda.
"The Real Story".....self explanatory. This is an account of the actual chain of events and parties involved. Due to the fact that this requires multiple parties to give honest and unbiased accounts, it's not likely this will ever be truly known.
at the end of the day, I'm going to live with whatever Schrock says, it's entirely possible he'll go along with some manufactured story to help preserve unity and minimize the damage to a program he built.
It's also possible that the damage is too great and there is no unity to preserve so he'll tell us his side of the real story.
Either way, this is a sad final chapter in a great book. -

Duely noted, however, in this instance we were discussing Sam's Pizza, and the availability at said meeting. Ergo the "P" equalling Pizza. I understand the importance of the role of communication in my empire, I do also expect some of you to be able to make intelligent choices when all the facts are completely spelled out.
Thank you for looking into this situation however, your statisitcs are moot. (Not "mute" Paul if you are reading this). -

You are correct, we in Wooster have Mike Baus to thank for the successful WYIF program he started many years ago. I do believe that has had an impact on the varsity level of play here in Wooster. I am even more excited to see where this new coach will take the program from here. If the rumors I am hearing are correct, look out. Things are going to get a whole heck of a lot better in the 44691.JJ68;1042824 wrote:Why not apply for the head coaching job at the biggest school in Wayne County? And yes Wooster is the best coaching job in the area. You have a large group of talented kids who need maybe a little more direction than at other schools, but put in the time, do the work, and good tings will happen. -

My point is proven, we are discussin Smithville football and you have to incorporate Waynedale golden bares wresting into the mix. Geesh, this job is why I have to drink in the evenings.1_beast;1041951 wrote:I'm disturbed and offended by this comment...The Bears have sent on of our "own" In Mr Thad Unkefer to BUILD the Smithie wrestling program. as Head Coach, he has done a fine job already. -

Someone needs to call the Pied Piper and get their ashes outta town. -

Would this rat be a former linebackers and running backs coach under Schrock and former baseball coach who graduated from Bedford St Peter Chanel?Longsnapper;1044316 wrote:I'ts my understanding from a phone call I got a little while ago, not only are there rats in the principals office at SHS, there's a rat in the principals office at GMS.
If even 10% of everything I've heard turns out to be true I don't want anything to do with Smithville anymore. Sounds like some back stabbing Desperate Housewives sports edition going on. -

LongsnapperThink 1/2 the size of the HS office. Good detective work btw.

Were you recruited solely to play football there? We keep losing all our talent. -
