AND THE BEARS JUST FINISHED 3RD IN THE STATE DUAL CHAMPIONSHIPS....................GET YOUR PRIORITIES STRAIGHT -
oldsmithieSchrocks story will be out in the D.R. on Wed. It is a sad state of affairs in Smithville. People are not talking out of respect for Coach Schrock. It is not going to be the same on Friday nights. I was very use to seeing "the old man" walk the sidelines.

My dad (Bob Moreno) played for Triway and his cousin (Ray Edgell) played for Northwestern back in the 80's. They're are the main reasons I believe both programs are a bunch of female private parts. -
TCBIf I had to trace this trainwreck back to the beginning, just look at people with potential axes to grind. Which School Board member's husband was on the coaching staff but let go? The ones who are most guilty are usually the ones who do the least public talking on the subject.

He also works at Wadsworth and told everyone what was happening a week before it happened.TCB;1046662 wrote:If I had to trace this trainwreck back to the beginning, just look at people with potential axes to grind. It's funny that people would think they could do crap without anyone knowing. This is Smithville. This is Wayne County. You can't hide anything. -
THE4RINGZBeast,
As Commish I am compelled to ask you to stop the multi-quoted responses. They are almost tl;dr material. Please be more concise. Just because O-trap can pull them off, it doesn't mean everyone can, especially when you incorporate wrestling into a football thread.
JJ,
Please disregard beast's comment's; after seeing your Uncle Ray Edgell graduated from Northwestern in 1984 beast will try to cut you down. See, in 1984 one Mr. John Huber destroyed Joe Kikume repeatedly on the mats for those of you who don't remember. Beast does.
Back on topic, I see there are already a few quality comments in TDR's online edition today regarding the meeting last night. I believe tomorrow when the full story breaks you will see Schrock's non-supporters will beome more vocal especially in that forum. For those who don't follow that, go to www.the-daily-record.com find the story, and read the comments at the bottom of the page. Some of those comments will make you not so proud to be a Wayne County resident. -

Wow!! Smithville has fans being tossed for infighting at basketball games, an administration that forced out their greatest football coach and you're firing shots at Triway & Northwestern?JJ68;1046608 wrote:My dad (Bob Moreno) played for Triway and his cousin (Ray Edgell) played for Northwestern back in the 80's. Somebody get this guy a Team Miyagi T-shirt. -

Wait...what's this about fans getting thrown out of a basketball game for fighting?
When your backs against the wall you fire at everyone. -
JJ68Just out of curiosity.....does anyone remember about 11 years ago the husky statues around northwestern high school being painted black and green?
I know nothing about that just wondering. -
O-TrapIt's a gloomy day in Smithville. The emerald green has faded a little bit.
However, as Schrock has always said, the game is about the kids. So, whether I like what the administration or the incoming coaching staff does, I will continue to cheer on the boys in green and white this fall. -
beatobamaSo, you are suggesting the former assistant coach is involved somehow in how this went down??

O-TrapThere's been a lot of speculation on certain former and current assistant coaches. Let's just wait and see.
Anyone notice how little attention the Smithville girls' basketball coach's antics got in lieu of the Schrock thing? I kinda hope that gets revisited now.
No way should you be allowed to pull a Bobby Knight like that and not come under much more scrutiny. Seems like THAT kind of coach (kicking chairs and/or threatening fans) is the one who should receive an evaluation worthy of being fired. -
THE4RINGZIt's girls basketball.

O-Trap
Which is what makes it joke-worthy, but actuaily picking a fight with a fan (yes, there are indeed fans at girls' basketball games) should be AT LEAST a suspension. I don't care if its girls' chess.THE4RINGZ;1046976 wrote:It's girls basketball.
I'd like to know if he even got a reprimand. -
Red Right 21In this business very few coaches get to go out on their own terms. If you stick around long enough bad things happen! (It seems that way to me.) In this situation it is a sad state of affairs and people should be held accountable for the mess they made.
Good luck to Coach Schrock and thanks for a great run! -
THE4RINGZ
I have not heard this drama. Probably because it is the sport it is. I thought the Lady Smithies were off to a good start though.O-Trap;1047050 wrote:Which is what makes it joke-worthy, but actuaily picking a fight with a fan (yes, there are indeed fans at girls' basketball games) should be AT LEAST a suspension. They are. As I recall, they were winning when it happened.THE4RINGZ;1047097 wrote:I have not heard this drama. Probably because it is the sport it is. I thought the Lady Smithies were off to a good start though. -
JJ68If the Smithville girls basketball coach ever threatened me I'd have to laugh. Unless he has a plugged in jig saw in hand that guys is harmless.

THE4RINGZI had hoped Schrock would return for one last and spiteful season, he would run a five wide offense passing on every down (even fourth).
And a rogue outfit (See the Miyagi 6) would print up and sell tee shirts that had a outline of Schrock giving the double bird, and on the back the words, "Take That ****!!!!".
Please note: Don't try to count the asteriks to determine that last word, I didn't include the correct number of symbols. -
JJ68It's pretty quiet on here tonight. Where's everyone drinking at? I just turned 27 a couple months ago. I can drink......
