Should have had it in MansfieldOld Rider;982565 wrote:I agree. Arlin made the most sense but the St. Iggy Whitmer game is there. I don't know where else you play this one?? Ashland U or Ashland High? Or just have Johnstown travel a bit further to Fawcett... it is vacant Saturday evening.

For the vistors, you can park on Lakeview, which is the road on the map provided that intersects with Wabash Ave, just behind the vistors side of the stadium. There is also parking behind the outfield of the baseball field all the way down to the tennis courts, But I'd expect those to fill pretty quickly. When I go for the Dover/Phila games, which I assume this will have a similar crowd, I have parked near Tuscarawas Central Catholic High School, which is not visible on this map, but is approximately a block east of Broadway St.thePITman;982546 wrote:If you don't know already, the football field is in the community park and NOT at the high school.
I normally park at the South end of the park near the pond (near Park Place Teen Center, 161 Tuscora Avenue Northwest, New Philadelphia, OH). It's a small lot and a little walk through the park, but it's not bad and is nice scenery. This will bring you up behind the home stands. Another (larger) parking lot is on top of the hill just West of the baseball field, on top of the hill.
Not sure if it is always the case, but last Saturday I drove by the base of the Wabash hill (other side of the stadium) and they had signs up that it was closed to through traffic for the game that night. For those coming from Wayne County, you could come in the back way to avoid some traffic by coming over 7 mile drive(would need to go through Parral and Dover instead of jumping on to I-77/250 at Strasburg. -
1_beastI cant see how this venue will hold the crowd! I was not at the game last week...but at D-I Medina's Ken Dukes Stadium...it was overflowing it appeared.

**Hook a 4WD to a bus in the mud & the tires just spin. Dry ground, no problem. Not the best analogy but, still accurate. I'll have to check & see if the jonnies are even bigger than Brookfield w/their 2000yd rusher behind them. Brookfield must have just had an off night:rolleyes:oldsmithie;982091 wrote:Mookie22: Not evey team with a Big line got pushed around!! Remember week 9! Best of luck to the Bobcats!!!!
****11/4/11.....Will Big Line Be Big Trouble For Norwayne
Daily Record Sports Editor
The Brookfield football team will literally be laying it on the line in its Div. IV, Region 13 quarterfinal playoff game against Norwayne at Cloverleaf's Gene Clark Stadium Saturday night.
With a mammoth offensive line that averages about 280 pounds from tackle to tackle, the sixth-seeded Warriors (9-1) hope to control the line of scrimmage, and ultimately, the game against the third-seeded Bobcats (9-1).
"We both have similar style spread offenses, but we are more of a power offense that likes to run it between the tackles," said seventh-year Brookfield coach Randy Clark, who has the Warriors in the playoffs for the first time in 17 years. "We have had pretty good success running the ball and have a pretty big offensive line to run behind. They average about 280 pounds per guy, and that's including a 185-pounder, so how our line executes on both sides of the ball will be a big key."..Cats win, 42-7......,Next!
Seriously though...,Both teams are here for the 1st time & both have tons of backing from their entire areas. Cudos to both for great seasons. I can't wait to see it.
GO CATS!......REFUSE to lose! -

Excellent assessment. Except N-wayne has come from behind to win in 3 of their last 4 games. I can't tell if it's gonna be a barnburner or all defense? Girard forced 3 t-overs. None for them & we still came back. I think that's gonna be big this wk. Hang on to the ball Cats! It's risk-reward though....& Wallace loves to sling it around. 30td passes.:thumbup:thePITman;982243 wrote:One thing I'm not sure of is how Johnstown-Monroe will do if they get behind 2 scores. I'm not saying they WILL get down 2 scores; but if they do, will their run-heavy offense be able to transition into a hurry-up, passing offense if they need to? Norwayne is a quick-strike team that can also run the ball and sustain drives. They've played from behind a few times this year and never seem out of place in any situation. However, if J-M gets a lead, with their running game, the clock definitely works in their favor. My guess, if either team gets a 2-score lead, the other team will not be making a comeback this week - If Norwayne is ahead, Johnstown-Monroe will have to pass to come back, which it sounds like they don't like to do. If Johnstown-Monroe is ahead, they can drain the clock with their running game. -

Matter of Fact1_beast;982551 wrote:with J-M having a 180 member band...will Norwayne (home team) forfeit the Amphitheatre to allow more seating for the visitors band? Will this play into the game atmosphere with the acoustics assisting the already HUGE/LOUD band?
Its "The Little Things"...
Ironton game the ref went over to the band and told them to keep it down because the QB couldn't here his plays the coach was giving him
The" BIG RED BAND" Is loud -

thePITmanRingz, Beast, RedRider1, etc... Are any of you going to the Norwayne game Saturday? I'm trying to figure out what my plans will be. I'd be making a long drive from Conneaut to wherever I go Saturday... want to make it worth it if I drive to New Philidelphia. If you'll be there, I can bring my tailgating supplies leftover from the Norwayne/Orrville game. Plenty of burgers and brats. Let me know as soon as you guys know so I can make plans with the woman. (text is fine)
