Johnstown has played the last 2 opponents that played really dirty
Alot of personal fouls, unsportsmanlike conduct, hittin while out of bounds, ,starting fights
I didn't say that Norwayne can't play or slow I just heard that from another member on another forum that's what he said just like I said Norwayne didn't belong here cause they got lucky Just be assured Johnstown
Runs a good coach to player attitude and a good program that very well disciplined
I hope Johnnies wins this but it sounds like it might be a task and yes Johnstown all 4 quarters hard too
    Good luck Johnnies !!!!!

Johnstown the local fans ( not Norwayne ) love to be sarcastic in their comments to get a rise out of the other schools fans and mostly are talking to themselves as most posters on these threads are from Wayne County and their teams are at home getting ready for basketball or rasslin. Few of the other opponents are posters so they tend to go overboard on the jokes

I wonder what it looked like before he edited his post? Did it make even less sense?

We as Jtown folks are from a small hick farm town too, sounds like we have alot in common with Bobcat fans, the bobcats are very fast team on the corners and I have to say speed vs power this looks to be another great matchup different styles on both sides but both teams are gonna play with heart, it comes down to which team wants it the most, good luck
    Go Johnnies!!!

    Nice game to watch
We don't Pass Alot like Orrville does but when we do it works but QB a little the same
It looks like Orrville had a hard time tackling
Norwayne looks like a fast team offense
Hopefully Johnstown can get pass that speed
    Go Johnnies!!!!!!

I have a bad feeling that this game could be a bad match-up for Norwayne. Their only loss this year came to a team, Smithville, with a big line and power running game. Granted, the field conditions were terrible and there was another factor of motivation... the stars seemed aligned for that night. Johnstown-Monroe will be a tall task for the Norwayne Bobcats. With that said, the Johnnies have not seen an offense as good as Norwayne's. And to whoever said Norwayne is slow is sadly mistaken. Orrville is known for being fast, very fast (top team speed teams in DIV each year, IMO), and this year is definitely no different... and Norwayne more than kept up with them, breaking big plays of their own, running away from defenders, containing some real burners, and flying to the ball. The Bobcats are fast. Their D-line is undersized and has been underestimated each of the last 5 weeks, yet they're 4-1 in those 5 games. The Bobcats are a very good team with some special intangibles. Johnstown-Monroe sounds the same way - very talented team full of kids that work hard and know how to win. I think this should be a great game! Right now my gut says Johnstown-Monroe is the slight favorite.

    Good luck Bobcats!

First off.....congrats to Norwayne, very proud of you Saturday night. You are a very good football team with all the pieces necessary to win out. This Red Rider wishes you well!

This game is difficult to handicap because both teams have inflated regular season numbers due to relatively weak opponents. Norwayne's schedule ranked 80 out 122 and Johnstown 81/122 in Div IV. Both teams have had impressive playoff wins over two of the top storied programs in the State. Orrville and Ironton. If Norwayne can get up a score I think it puts pressure on Johnstown. Norwayne's offense is so quick strike and the weather looks great. Best of luck to both teams. Everyone be safe traveling this Thanksgiving week and weekend! Cats...lay off the Turkey Thursday.

One thing I'm not sure of is how Johnstown-Monroe will do if they get behind 2 scores. I'm not saying they WILL get down 2 scores; but if they do, will their run-heavy offense be able to transition into a hurry-up, passing offense if they need to? Norwayne is a quick-strike team that can also run the ball and sustain drives. They've played from behind a few times this year and never seem out of place in any situation. However, if J-M gets a lead, with their running game, the clock definitely works in their favor. My guess, if either team gets a 2-score lead, the other team will not be making a comeback this week - If Norwayne is ahead, Johnstown-Monroe will have to pass to come back, which it sounds like they don't like to do. If Johnstown-Monroe is ahead, they can drain the clock with their running game.

    My crystal ball tells me...

Norwayne WILL be playing in Massillon for the State Championship next Saturday. Norwayne beats JM this week and then has to find a way to slow Mauk and Kenton...anything can happen.

The main bulk of the fans from Jtown dont think your weak or slow because theres no way you be here if you were those things, like I said before SPEED VS POWER, we as a team will not overlook those Bobcats, we watched film we gonna go out and see if we have what it takes to hang with a very fast team I good test for our D, we played a team close to the Bobcats ( Granville) early in the season and ended up being a high score game iam sure both teams will shoot it out Saturday night its best of the best time to put up or shut up, gonna be a battle lots at stake sure both teams will be pumped and ready for this one very excited and proud of our boys to make it this far not gonna be easy anything easy aint worth a damn.
    Go Johnnies!!!!

You might want to recheck your crystal ball later in the week might take time to warm up

First things first, you might want to find a way to slow down Franklin and Co. before Mauk and the wildcats just dont get ahead of yourself one game at a time, I agree ball control will be the key and who strikes first cause both teams likes to start fast 1st half will be important in this game.
  • 5knots
That was my point as well Pit. The game will be decided by who's defense wins up front. Both offenses are potent.
  • THE4RINGZ
I am not convinced that this game is simply speed versus power. Granted, I have only watched Norwayne play two games this season, and while being fast, I am not sure that is 100% their game plan.

I could care less who wins. I based my prediction soley on the fact that Norwayne whipped our (Orrville's) butts and I thought we had a good team. They out-coached us and out-played us, and made the big plays when they needed to. I know nothing about Johnstown-Monroe's football team.

    Good luck to both teams!

I know our bobcats will win this one its no match. Our high power offense will trash the johnnies. I think Norwayne has been overlooked since week 9 at Smithville but this team has bounced right back, they have just won there 4th must win game.thanks to the three headed monster of Wallace and the 2 Zimmerlys o ya and that's just our rushing game just wait till the X-factor gets the ball he will make the Johnnies look silly out there along with the rest of our receiving corps. there's no question norwayne has this this team is on a straight track to state.

I first thought Paul had a new screen name, then I realized this poster spelled "corps" right.

easy there big boy..........dont think that we will run away with this one....we are playing a VERY good football team.....when you get to this point in the playoffs....there will be no 42-0 scores....I am a true Bobcat Fan dont get me wrong.....this game will be a dog fight that can go either way.....

    Good Luck Cats!!!!

BeTough;982065 wrote:oldcatQB I think it's your own fans being sarcastic about the ability or lack thereof of your own team. I love it when fans play the underdog role or the overlooked role. The coaches and Johnstown take every game with the same approach. I am sure they will respect your team on and off the field! Best of luck!
More cow butting this week will get the job done.

Ha ha funny but wrong! Enough with the shots at the kid.
