Waynedale is getting a star stud QB?........I've been hearing wrestling rumors about superstar transfers to WD.......now Football!!!!
All thats left is the name change.....Arch Bishop Waynedale
Probably a 195# stud wrestler also. -
Coach 08Do the twins that transfered in from Tuslaw play football?
-
1_beastLOL Just trying to have a "competitive balance"...
I honestly dont know about the QB rumor...just wanted to see if anyone else heard anything.
Waynedale does have a good academic program. Just sayin...
-
Gunder13I honestly think that Rittman will be 5-5 or better.. New coaches, new offence, new defence, and some new players... It will be a start for Rittman to have a winning year. I could easily see Rittman beating Dalton, Chippwea, waynedale and maybe even Northwestern .

5-5 or better? That is a bold statement about a team no one really knows nothing about. But best of luck. -

Everyone will beat Waynedale....just cellar dwellers :rolls eyes:Gunder13;786250 wrote:I honestly think that Rittman will be 5-5 or better.. Gunder13There is a lot that you know about Rittman its just that you have to look at the players returning as Seniors and a big Junior class that learned a lot over the last two years. There will also be a big quarterback coming in to replace Bauman. New offence and new defence there is a chance for big improvement.
-
Old RiderCoach08..I think their wrestlers only. They both wrestle light weight classes also.

I'm a big fan of Rittman don't get me wrong. But I think it will be more of a learning year than a winning year. They have to replace a lot of 3 and 4 year starters and ontop of that they have a new coach that is teaching them a new offense. I wanna be positive but i think 5-5 would be the BEST they could finish. Waynedale has great backs and even though they took their lumps last year I see them being a team to be reckoned with. As for the Indians, I see them realistically finishing about 2-8 or 3-7.....ROLL TRIBE -
Mr. RussellRittman may be improved no doubt, but I would bet all of the money I have (which isn't much) that they do not beat Waynedale easily this year.
-
Red RumI applaud Gunder for speaking his mind and looking at the glass as half full, but I just don't see it. The graduation of Bauman alone leaves the kind of hole you just can't plug someone into. That, along with a new coach, new system and the other graduated seniors makes me think the tribe is more likely to win 2 to 4 games.
But, hey---you never know, thats why they play the season. -
mt1514If Waynedale plays their 11 best, they could very well contend this year.

Im hoping!!!! Two years of platoon schemes has NOT worked....Gotta put your BEST 11 on the field!!!! -
Gunder13Thanks for taking that in a good way.... But has any one heard about maybe moving Hillsdale out of our league?
-
Bloody ToothbrushMan have I been hearin' some rumors.........
St. Waynedale is allegedly in talks with Jim Tressel to coach the team........And he's bringing Jerrelle Pryor (Terrelles lil' bro) with him to play QB!!!!!
Apparently the whole thing hinges on the powerful alumni booster 1_Beast scoring a car (Lexus or Beamer) for the kid!!!!
Anyways.......Thats what Miyagi & Red Rum said. -

A couple semi successful years and you want them Ashland county farm boys out huh? -
madman11Not saying this because they've been winning, but I've always wondered why Hillsdale is in the WAYNE COUNTY Athletic League. I have no problem with it but when I was in school, the trip to Hillsdale always seemed way too long to be considered a league game.

If you go around the state and look at league travel times.... you will see that the WCAL is very fortunate to not have very many far away games. Hillsdale fits perfectly into the league with size and location. -
THE4RINGZWhat league are the Falcons allegedly considering joining per the rumor mill?

who would of thought rittman would of beat waynedale by 3 touchdowns this past year?? i remember the daily record said waynedale 9-0. Waynedale might have been the best 2-8 team i have ever seen last year! they were close to actually starting off 3-0 and played triway real tough! And they had norwayne beat all game and lost on a last second field goal. You cant really count anyone out besides chippewa. I understand why people are not giving rittman really a chance but they have some players that could step up and do some good things. -
Red RumI read that Loudenvilles league is falling apart. Aside from that I haven't heard any rumblings of moves from the Ashland/Wayne area.
I would personally like to see an expansion of the WCAL to 12 teams (existing 8 + Triway, Tuslaw, Black River & Loudenville) Any thoughts? -

Hmmm....there may be interesting developments.....and we have a "Beamer"...but hes looking for the podium top in wrestling...he wont be driven by anyone but his own person, family, teammates and coaches!!!Bloody Toothbrush;787574 wrote:Man have I been hearin' some rumors.........

The Bears were a solid team last year...personnel decisions and a few bad bounces...i guess thats why you play the game! Right now, we are looking into our new wrestling room and getting the ground broke for that. Hopefully everything falls into place for the football team. We'll be training for wrestling season! Just a football fan, not a football father.....oh AND Booster! -

Not interested personally. We play Triway in a good backyard rivalry non league, and I dont see them or Tuslaw leaving the PAC. Loudonville nor BlackRiver bring any interest to this fan as league competitors. -

Glad they are FINALLY competitive...I dont mind them sticking arouond. I havent heard any rumors of them going anywhere. However, if they do go...maybe we can persuade Orrville to join as the whipping boys! -

i agree!!! if orrville joined they wouldnt be much bigger than chippewa size whys. i also think orrville would have no walk in the park if they joined the WCAL in any sport! if i recall orrville has lost to wcal schools in baseball, basketball, soccer, softball and probably a few more sports! i would love to see an orrville vs norwayne playoff game this year since they are both in D4. i would be the first one at the gate and it would probably be my one time in my life i would actually root for norwayne! us rinky dinky WCAL schools are no match for the red riders according to the orrville folks!!
