LOL. No I got a new phone and am still getting used to it. -
Red Rider RazzleMy 5th grader son just finished his 2nd year of tackle football through OABGC. He is more football savvy now than I was when I started playing 7th grade football. Flag football was fun, but now they are learning so much more technique and rules. They use a lot of the same terminology as the Orrville 7th-high school teams use. It will be fun to watch the current 6th graders as they progress through the ranks. They should have a juggernaut class on the field. I agree for flag football for the little guys, but it is such an improvement to have the tackle option for the older ones.
Go Riders! -
THE4RINGZAll right, nice win by Norwayne tonight. I will work on the.details of the tickets for next weeks game.
-
Red RumI just watched Girard female dog slap Black River. Very, very ugly.
Norwayne should be a much better opponent.
BTW- Congrats to the Cats!!!!!!! I didn't think you had it in you, but you did.
not only that, but Norwayne must also be thanked for making this next statement possible
WCAL FUN FACT:
The Orrville Red Riders haven't beaten a WCAL team in Football since 1981.
P.S- Calm down Rider fans.....all in good fun. -
Mr Miyagi

If you aren't going to make it to this game, shoot me a PM and I will put it on my calendar to buy you a ticket to a game next season. -

That list should make for a good police report. Make sure all seats are together so if game gets bad we will have Beast and BFF to watch.THE4RINGZ;970639 wrote:OK per my wager earlie rin the year, tickets will be available for the following for the Region 13 Final game on 11/19/11

Go FalconsFor some reason beyond me Mapleton changed their minds and Hillsdale agreed to keep playing week one. However with all the shake-ups in the NCC and the MBL, I can see a possibility of changes coming to our ooc schedule in the next couple years.

Red RumWhere is Beast?
I'm a little disappointed, I was planning on piling on after he started making comments. Frankly, I'm befuddled he's letting the Rider faithful off the hook this easily.
Gotta wonder if OrrQB or Riders1 have pictures of Beast in compromising circumstances (like Beast wearing a Orrville Wrestling T shirt:laugh: )
GoFalcs-
Maybe extending the Mapleton series isn't as bad as it seems. They won a couple games this year and I hear they have some strong classes coming up. The Mounties will probably never bring big points but if they can become respectable, it might work out, at least in terms of gate revenue. -
beverboy1all they need to win 4 or 5 gms

beverboy1i 'll be there next week nor/gir gm @ green hs

WCL fan and wcalfan are two different posters. -
Bloody ToothbrushRingz....
Thanks for the generous offer, but I gotta work all next weekend.....and don't worry about next year. I figure I got at least $7 dollars worth of amusement out of you already.
Red Rum....
Looks like it's on you to lead the County posters in trolling on Orrville now that Beast has decided to turn into a kitten at this greatest of trolling opportunities.
Miyagi.....
Thanks chief, had a blast......Now get back to that latest shipment of "chicken"....that stuff ain't gonna skin itself.
Beast.....
M.I.A?......on the day there is a major pot of Rider stew to be stirred. You're getting soft.
GoFalcons....
I think Mapleton is heading in the right direction....they're gonna win some games in the next few years. I was told that their freshmen class has been very competitive in the Firelands.......it also gives Hillsdale a chance to catch up in the all time series.
On Orrville......
I'd troll em' myself but I realized that I'm actually a fan. They remind me of a mini Strongsville. -
OQBI get why the WCAL posters want to stir the pot with the Orrville guys, but other than the few Orrville posters who are still n00bs on this site and posted idiotic posts similar to that of Paul, the rest of the Orrville posters have been very respectful giving all the credit to Norwayne for the outstanding game they played last night against the Red Riders, does that call for pot stirring?

Sorry its really getting hard to keep track WCL/WCAL, Bobcat1 through 53.
Ringz: I am going to the Kenton vs. Hartley game at Arlin Field, so don't get me a ticket. Don't worry about next year either. -
1_beastBeast had been busy. Im not the type of guy to run salt in a wound.
-
O-TrapBeast, were you standing on the fence on the Norwayne side at about the 35-40 yard line, scoreboard side?
-
O-TrapJust got to thinking something, and I have to say that it has truly been great to watch teams all across this conference play over the years.
For example, I don't know how many people know this, but in just the last 13 years, every single WCAL team has made the playoffs at least once. In that time, the WCAL is 27-28 in playoff games, and they had a total of 29 teams make it, which (for those of you who hate math) averages out to more than 2 teams per year!
That's something to take pride in! This isn't a conference of weaklings with one dominant team year in and year out. This is a conference that ends up being a dogfight every single year. It's a conference that ALWAYS has an upset or two. It's a conference that, regardless of what people say, will prepare a good team to play other good teams come Week 11.
This is a conference that has also not been shut out of the playoffs since that time, so every single year has seen at least one team make the playoffs. Of those 13 years, 2 years have only had 1 team in. 7 years have had 2 teams in. 3 years have had 3 teams in. And 1 year had half the conference make the playoffs (2005)!
There have been 8 WCAL teams in those 13 years that have played for a Regional championship (2002 featured two of them playing each other for it).
We've had teams knock off defending state champs. We've had 8th seed teams knock off 1st seed teams. We've had a 6-4 team make it in.
All that to say, this is one heck of a conference! The fans here are spoiled with the quality of football they have the chance to see each year. We the fans should appreciate what we've gotten to witness in this short period of time, and that is some great football being played, representing our little Wayne County well around the state!
We have our rivalries during the year, but come post-season, the trash talk gives way to cheering and support and the hope that the young men playing on teams we either love or we love to hate can represent our conference and the kind of football we play here in the WCAL.
As we enter Week 13, we have just such a team. Norwayne's 11-1 record is much deserved, and it's something they should be proud of, but not content with. This is truly a special team, and I hope that the WCAL brethren on here will all be supporting them from here on out.
They have a big challenge coming up in Girard, and they are playing for the chance to play in a state-level game as the Region 13 champions. In these last 13 years, only two WCAL teams have been Regional champs, so they are poised to place themselves among some of the most elite WCAL teams in recent history and to once again bring recognition from around the state to the fact that in the WCAL, our teams play solid, tough football at a high level.
So good luck to the Bobcat nation! Good luck to the young men on the team! Good luck to the coaching staff! Good luck to the trainer staff! Good luck from all the fans from the WCAL and Wayne County as a whole! We're behind you every snap! -

footballnutWell I'm just getting over my shock from Saturday. I would like to congratulate Norwayne on an outstanding victory. They crushed us and they deserve all of the credit. They handled us in every facet of the game. The game really wasn't as close as the score. It's going to be awhile before I stop taken a beating from my Norwayne buddies but I can take it. Congratulations again
That being said. I think it's safe for all of us to now accept the fact that Smithville beating Norwayne was a fluke. I'm not saying that to further fuel the OCC/WCAL battle because I dont agree with all of that BS anyway. I'm just pointing out the facts. Smithville is nowhere near as good as Norwayne. They got lucky. Somehow the planets aligned or the God of Football was looking down upon the Smithies. That's just my opinion but it's one that is shared by everyone I know....including several Smithies
Congratulations again Cats. Go kick some butt Saturday and do Wayne County proud!
