I would think a man of your advanced age would be over the rep envy thing already. Apparently I was wrong.

    OK....heres my predictions,

    #1
Norwayne wins 42-18.....big plays kill Smithies but they are able to sustain a few drives with their excellent power running game. They are eventually forced into throwing which takes them away from their strength and results in more quick strike opportunities for the Cats.

    #2
Local towing companies hit the jackpot when multiple cars get stuck in the quagmire that will be the overflow grass parking for the large crowd.

    #3
Miyagi sneaks in a bottle of Saki so his coffees can be japanese. His pal O'Hooligan brings Baileys and goes Irish. They get tossed at halftime for inappropriate behavior.

    #4
The 50/50 hits $600 and Dead Bum won't be there to complain about not winning it. Paul will find the winning ticket stuck to gum on the bottom of his shoe and use it to get......Hooked on Phonics, the Amster Edition.

Smithville is quietly making all the preparations for the BIG game on Friday! Yes, I believe that most of us Smithies are hoping for rain!! lol
To all the posts above: I do NOT believe that Norwayne is running up any scores this year! If your team gets beat by 50 points, then try to get better next season!!! use it as an incentive to work harder in the off season.
    Hear Kitty Kitty!!!

Sounds like O-Trap needs to meet Miyagi this weekend.

bloody i think youre score prediction is generous

I would venture to say that even in rain, Norwayne still has an advantage. Smithville has a very nice running core, however Norwayne counters that with the Zimmerly boys and Wallace. With Wallace's ability to run, it keeps the defense reeling...if they defend the pass, he runs...if they stack the box, he passes.... I dont think rain will effect the passing game as much as some might hope. The biggest thing the rain does is slop the trenches and slow the speed, and I would think that helps Smithville line...but hurts smithvilles backs....Norwayne wins this game....but I wouldn't be surprised to see Schrock dump the monkey barrel and pull the upset. It happens at least once a year and we are still waiting on that upset......and well....Schrock has definately been in games with this level of intensity many times before.

On a side note...Im sure Harbour has been in his fair share of big games too at NW, just not as HC

All the weather I am seeing is calling for High of 50 and partly cloudy, no rain, Friday. Sorry Smithies!

Well, I suppose that helps the backs for Smithville. Still, it makes the pass game much easier for Norwayne.

Who are the Falcons pulling for in this game? With a Norwayne win and a Hillsdale win...week 10 is for all the marbles.

With a Smithville win the next 2 weeks...assuming Falcons win out...Its a Smithie/Falcon Shared Title.

If Smithies win out and Hillsdale loses in week 10 its a Smithie/Norwayne shared title.

Whats the Falcons want? Does the Smithville win help Hillsdale with L2's and playoff hopes?

Actually, if Hillsdale wins out, they'll be the sole champions, regardless of this week.

If Smithville beats Norwayne, but Norwayne beats Hillsdale, it'll be a three-way championship.

In order for Smithvilles running game to be at its best will require a dry field, a wet field dosent hurt the passing game much, but will slow the run game down. Best bet for the Smithies is a dry night. IMO.

Now if it is pouring and very windy and teams can only run probably Smithies advantage with big athletic line.

Snap...I knew that...thanks for pointing out my error. Sorry to confuse anyone.

BUT...if Norwayne lays an egg the next 2 weeks, and Smithville wins out...it a falcon/smithies title...

Wish my Bears were in this conversation. They have a tough week ahead in preparing for (in my opinion) a pretty good NWN team

Truth. Since Northwestern switched QBs, their offense has looked a LOT better. Bears are gonna have to play TOUGH.

I like a week ten for all the marbles just like last year.

Got to agree with O-Trap the Huskies/ Bears game should be a fight to the finish.
