Might as well stay home. Not going to win anyway.
That's what you told us last year. You were lucky to get a field goal.

At least if we do play Brooke, the stadium should be full no matter where the game is played. I would actually like to see this game. If it does materialize, I will get to see it on Channel 9. (Yes, I do get the WTOV9 Games of the Week out here in Seattle.)

And you wonder why why people in the valley don't cheer for Big Red.
    With comments like these.
Yes we know AVAST is the best team in the valley but alot of your fan base has to degrade everyone else. Hope you feel better.

Why? why start with someone? It will only led to fightn and closed threads!!!

I didn't know we had Brooke fans on here to get offended.

But I find it amusing that no one is even one bit excited about this potential matchup.

Not a Brooke fan. But why the jab at them?
We had a thread about local teams not playing Big Red and now that you have another one willing a comment like that is made. Makes no sense.
  • ManO'War
How is that a jab? They are the defending Class AAA state runnerup...but no one is even excited about playing them. I'm wondering why? Even back in 03 nobody seemed that excited. I flew back from Florida to see that game, and was expecting a sellout, but only about 5,000 people showed up.

As far as the local team comment, well it seems we are getting rid of one local Ohio team to play a local West Virginia team.

I'm a lot more excited to see Big Red play Brooke than I am about Big Red playing Morgantown. The Morgantown game will be another one of those where Reno clears the bench in the third quarter. At least we should get some computer points from this game, although I think we would have done better to bring in another Div. I team from Delaware or Maryland or somewhere.

What happened to the Warren Harding game? I thought last year it was already a done deal for this up comming year and the following year.

It was a done deal. Then Harding joined a league that conflicted with the Big Red contract, so they backed out. It seems to me that they could have at least played us in 2010 even if the 2011 game was a problem. But they didn't. That left week 5 open so we scheduled Morgantown.

On a different subject, how is Steubenville making out with all the snow? Have any bb games been cancelled? I read the Herald Star and I see that you got a lot.

We have been lucky out here in Seattle this year. We just had the warmest Januray in recorded history. We haven't have a flake of snow all winter. That is in contrast to last winter when the entire city got shut down for two weeks. It was awful. The street in front of my house was like an ice rink. And the winter before that, the wind knocked out the power in our house for four days. Dad and I nearly froze to death.

I hope everybody is warm and safe. Let me know how you're doing.
  • FairwoodKing
Gettiing back to the subject of snow, it is very ironic that you people are getting so much snow and we people have none. The Winter Olympics are being held just 150 miles from where I live, and they are desperate for more snow. They have been shipping in snow from as far away as they can. Too bad they can't ship some in from DC.

? Harding is joining a league this year. This caused a conflict in 2010 AND 2011. I am sure the Big Red AD did not take offense, so you should not either.

Agreed. Harding needed a new league and found a good one. Kudos to them.

I never said I took offense. I'm just disappointed. I would rather have played Harding than play Morgantown.

If it hadn't rained, it might have snowed.

It rained on Big Red, too, you know.

I'm pretty sure you're joking which is cool, but as a neutral fan that attended that game, big red would have beat Massillon no matter what the weather. Just my honest opinion.
