Orrville Red Rider Football 2011

Red Rider81Not much of an answer to my question. If you run the same play over and over the defense has a pretty easy time of it. We ran the sweep so many times there fans were calling it out. They need to throw short passes, what happend to the screen pass.

CCRollyWhen this one is over the McCreary's will be jumping up and down on the "O" at midfield celebrating...

So he is getting fired on the sidelines right after the final gun sounds? Perfect!!!!! -

You say you want to load, aim, and fire the cannon in the endzone :thumbup:THE4RINGZ;941632 wrote:So he is getting fired on the sidelines right after the final gun sounds? Perfect!!!!! -

Agreed. He avoided your question. You are right Red Rider 81. I heard their fans calling out what we were about to do and thats bad. We have got to stop being predictable. Didnt we throw a screen pass to Stew Turner last week for a touchdown? I saw none of that last night. Really makes you wonder!Red Rider81;941589 wrote:Not much of an answer to my question. riders1Simple football, 2 options, run or pass, it starts with the line, you have to begin to execute the plays from there and if the execution or blocking starts right then the plays can develop and go well if it doesn't the plays don't enfold. Just look at the pros, redright 88 and Metcalf up the middle and they got paid to execute plays, but it all starts with the line and blocking or plays don't work no matter what you think should be called. Watch the trenches and see what is happening there.
-
riders1Wow, what a weekend for the green teams, Smithville with the upset Friday night and Michigan State with the "HAIL MARY" reviewed TD on the last play to beat Wisconsin.
-
5knotsStu was maybe 70% for the game Friday. Watch the replays and you will see how gingerly he is moving around. Best thing about this week is the extra day!!!!! This will do wonders for Dru and Stu's injuries. Gotta get healthy. I guess a good way of looking at things is we still have not found our offensive rhythm and yet we sit #2 in the region. let's keep hoping we get it solved
-
Old RiderBrenner at QB
Sommers to fullback or tight end or both
Lemmon needs to play offense more
Weaver needs more touches
Stu needs WAY more touches
Short passes, some play action, some mis-direction runs, use the tight end, wildcat, and an actual offensive coordinator!
SOLVED! -
riders15 turnovers will kill any offense it doesn't matter who or what plays are called , it is still execution and Brenner at QB is not solving the offensive "problem", it starts on the line and goes on from there. But 5 turnovers takes away alot of offensive plays and possiblly 35 points. So all players must execute the play and DO NOT TURN THE BALL OVER and your offense will look alot better. Just like on defense if all 11 don't execute their assignments you give up yards and points, like an open man in the endzone or stupid personal fouls to keep drives going. SO DO NOT TURN THE BALL OVER!!!!!

I agree those moves would solve many of the problems on offense, I really like the sommers to fullback move that would be great. He is a very tough runner. Isn't fullback his natural position ? If so why isn't he playing there now.Red Rider Nation;942169 wrote:You are 100% right about all! -

Thanks Red Rider Nation, I thought it was a logical question. Nice to see someone else is able to see the same things i do.Red Rider Nation;941758 wrote:Agreed. He avoided your question. riders1I see a team that is 6-3 ( not a losing record )and secured a home playoff game in week 9 and you want to change everything around at this point

Really? Change everything? No just our offense. Stop being absent minded! With this offense we cannot continue to win games. Remember in 2 weeks we will be playing much better competition! -

I agree that SOME things need changed....I do however disagree with this post, because we have continued to win games with this offense...how we are able to is because of our defense bottom line.Red Rider Nation;942671 wrote:Really? If this team and I know they do, want to make a run in the playoffs they will have to EXECUTE and that is simply what it is coming down to execution on offense. I trust our coaches to call the right plays and put our players in the right spot to succeed, now the players have to execute. -
Diehard Rider FanBrenner at qb? I had to look twice to see if that post came after the game Friday night. Maybe in a wildcat on occasion but you have to be out of your mind if you think its a permanent solution. Passing with him is not an option.
-
5knotsAnd you know this because you have been at practice and evaluated him?????? If so, you must have been hiding in the woods???? Drew is a very good option to have and the extra day of rest could not have come at a better time for him.
-
OQBI don't think we need to attend practice to see what everyone can do....I know I base my opinions on what I see on the field every Friday night....same with just about everyone on here except for a few. You can be an All-American practice player but if it doesn't transfer over to games on Friday nights then who cares what happens in practice? Just my opinion of course.
