Where are all the Clear Fork moths??? We just beat Genoa and it is quiet here on the chatter. Raven can now shut his mouth too, since we took care of business tonight.

amen to that. we played very well but had some good fortune when momentum was about to go the other way.

    LOL......................

My point was turnovers hurt momentum not that Genoa gave it away and we didn't deserve the win. Orrville vs CF would have been different if we could have gained momentum and not turned the ball over inside our 20. With 8 minutes to go, didn't you think Genoa could come back and tie the game? If they would have driven the length of the field and scored it would have been within 3.

Momentum with this team is big. Football doesn't seem to have the momentum swings that Girls v-ball has, but turnovers and failure to score in the red zone can cause momentum swings. I think that explains a lot to me why Genoa beats CF and we get beat by CF. In the CF game they score just before half and in the second half we don't score when we should have. It makes the final score deceptive.

Get out of here NOW!!!!!! All we heard for an entire year was this crap from last year! It is week 13 you either show up and play or you go home. Period! That was lock down D...basically a shutout w/o the pick . Riders once again prove that 21 years of playoff tradition count for something. Better team won again tonight. Genoa will be back in the saddle next year,,,but guess what? So will we!!!!

I am so pumped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Final four!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Red Rider Tradition lives on !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Where is everyone! with the Kudos for the lowly riders who got torched by CF. Where is that CF troll popping off today? At basketball practice maybe?

Genoa honestly got beat. 3 turnovers inside the 30 and 1 that was maybe the worst 4th & 1 call I've ever seen. The whole stadium knew it was gonna be the same play they ran just 3 plays ago. Genoa just looked lost out there and committed many dumb penalties, that 12 men on the field on 4th & 7 is what won it for the Riders. Again all the credit in the world to the Riders, they showed up and really had a terrific gameplan and executed extremely well, they really didn't make any mistakes. Y'all played like it was the Regional Championship and that's why you're playing next week and probably playing Alter in the title

What a game! We are on such a great roll.

I tip my hat to Genoa for having another great season. I am, again, very impressed with your crowd and support. On the way out of the game, several Comet fans told my cheerleader daughters "congratulations and nice game". I was impressed by that, too.

If you Rider fans see Keri Pickett, tell her thanks. When Pirman's knee brace broke at the end of the 3rd Quarter, his dad walked over to the stands and she yelled "do you need another brace?" and he said "yes, that's what I was looking for". She whipped off her new $180 brace and tossed it over and #88 strapped it on and went back into action. That's a TRUE Red Rider fan!!!

Anyone have any stats on the game? (1_beast: Anything from QKT?)

Ha I've been a believer but really thought Genoa was a little bit ahead of this Orrville team. Once again Genoa made bad mental mistakes and Orrville made them pay for each one

No doubt you caused the 1st, second was a bad exchange again tho...

Great game Riders! Represent the region well! Your LB's were a big difference in this one... Filled the holes FAST! I thought the lines were controlled by Genoa again but we continued to shoot ourselves in the foot! Refs were terrible IMO but we didnt help ourselves. You QB still needs a lot of work if you are gonna get the big one this year... Didn't play bad but missed some big play oppertunities. Great game to watch but I honestly felt like NEITHER side played their A+ ball tonight. I really hope Orrville can take it to Chargin next week!

We didn't have the costly turnovers of other games and stupid penalties. I wasn't taking away from the defense because that is why were where we are. It certainly isn't due to our overpowering offense, because we've spurted in certain games. Tonight our offense didn't turn it over and played well enough to score and keep the defense off the field. In most sports defense wins games and that's what happened tonight.

Ha my football wisdom is nowhere close to Vicars, actually I don't think many coaches in NW Ohio are but i scratched my head on that call and the one on the 3rd & 15 when we just ran it up the middle. You can't forfeit possessions against a team down 10 late. I'm not saying Vicars is anything but an amazing coach

Not sure they are good enough for$$$. Lol. I do this cause I love it...plus it gets me into the games for free...lol

I know I have a shot of your boy scoring. Thats a good one. Will see what I come up with tomorrow when I have more then 2.5 hours of sleep in the last 36 hours....goodnight.

I thought the officials were "ok"....genoa was jumping early almost every play and only got about 3 false starts called....should be thankful because their were atleast 8-10 times when they were going early before the snap.

Enough of that, you can't depend on the refs to win/lose you games, you have to go out and take it and that is what the Riders did tonight!

I don't know but it almost looked like the coaches gave up.....play calling was not good, allowing stupid penalties (illegal subs) and they weren't using timeouts. I was scratching my head with one hand, and fist pumping with the other.

I just got home from dinner after the Chagrin Falls/Manchester game, and I've got to say WAY TO GO ORRVILLE! Once again you prove everyone wrong, and I had the wrong pick in this game, too! It sounds like it was a tough, close game, as was expected. I can't wait to read about it in the Daily Record tomorrow. Good luck next week against Chagrin Falls! They are one very good team that is solid all around and doesn't have one star on their team but plays as a true team. I really think you can beat them, though! Just please don't be like the Manchester fans with whom I was tailgating tonight who were already looking ahead to an Orrville/Manchester match-up in the state semi's and saying how Chagrin Falls would be no match for them. Those same people left at halftime because they were so shocked. Chagrin Falls DOMINATED! But Orrville will be a much tougher test for them. Congrats to Genoa on a great season and to Orrville on the big win tonight. Go get Chagrin Falls next week!

Genoa's fans on here have been great. Although I haven't posted a lot until tonight it has been entertaining without the chest thumping. I think that's why I like these forums- is in the hope that you can find something out about the other team that gives you some understanding about the make up of their team and why they made it this far. I know why the Riders are here- its expected! Positive mental attitude and confidence will take you far along with a very little swag.
