Man, it's not necessary for you to be that stupid! Change what rules? I watched this team play in the Ralley in the Valley at Wheeling Island last year with basically the same team. They were handed their jockstraps by an average Pitts. Central Catholic team I believe 44-17. Not one poster was screaming " change the rules" on here back then. Now they enjoy some success and people like you crawl out of the woodwork and want rule changes.RedRider1;537080 wrote:Very impressed with Teague last night. Kid is fast, fundamentally sound...and can bring the wood.
Yea, yea...a D-5 team shouldn't be that loaded, but it is what it is until the OHSAA changes things.
Did you think to give their coaching staff some credit? They came out strong against B.R. after a 6-3 halftime. Against Massillon, they were losing 7-6 and came back to win that game handily.
Sure, there are some fine athletes on that squad, but this staff is getting the most out of what he has. I'm a Big Red Booster but I appreciate good coaching and great football. Yeah, OSHAA will change the rules and I'll bet you still believe "Grape Nuts" is a venereal disease. -

You meant against mooney at half. Pitt Central Catholic is no average pitt team they are one of the best teams down there in the last decade and ursuline didn not have tyhe same team they did not use teague to his ability last year because they had allen jones who was also a complete stud. But i agree with the fact that you cannot change the rules just because someone gets on a hot streak. -

One of my favorite shows-"Married With Children". More on Ed O'Neill:Con_Alma;537202 wrote:Didn't the guy who plays Al Bundy go to Youngstown Ursuline??
O'Neill was born into an Irish Catholic family in Youngstown, Ohio. His mother, Ruth Ann (née Quinlan), was a homemaker and social worker, and his father, Edward Phillip O'Neill, Sr. was a steel mill worker and truck driver. O'Neill attended Ursuline High School and went on to study at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, where he was a member of Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity and at Youngstown State University where he played football. O'Neill was signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1969 as an outside linebacker. He was released before the start of the 1969 regular season. Later, on Married... with Children, O'Neill played a former high-school football star who had failed to make it big and constantly relived his "glory days" at Polk High ("I once scored four touchdowns in a single game"). As part of this theme, former Pittsburgh Steelers great and hall of fame quarterback Terry Bradshaw also made two guest appearances on the show. O'Neill was also a social studies teacher at Youngstown's Ursuline High School, before becoming an actor. -

The 2 teams I mentioned were correct. Steubenville and Massillon. I forgot about Mooney. Wasn't it Teague who ran around the ends for 2 quick scores and Ursuline Got out to 14-0 lead ?
Last year, Pitts. Central Catholic got blown out by Woodland Hills. P.C.C. went on to lose 3 games. Steubenville beat Woodland hills 13-0, Woodland Hills went undefeated until the semi final game of their state playoff. Steubenville wins - we don't play any tough out of state teams.
Ursuline wins, they recruit and need rule changes.
These types of posts will never change. Enjoy your team's success; you'll never satisfy everyone.
Cheers -
OhioI thought you meant Ursuline played Massilon i was like wtf when lol

Some posters of certain public schools like to take shots at kids and families who choose a private school because it is in their best interest.
Massillon didn't, "bring in a kid", as MOW stated earlier, the kids dad was transfered to this area. Nice try though. -

So you mean it is possible for a family and kid to choose a school because it is in his best interest? -
Classyposter58Eh I can't understand how they don't recruit. I mean success attracts success and you'd think hundreds of kids would be clamoring to get into their school but instead their numbers remain very low. I mean the 3 big private schools in Toledo are D1 and D2 and it just seems like tons of athletic kids would be trying to get in to Ursuline. It just kinda gives off that hinky feeling. I mean they are gonna crush everyone in their region

Toledo is also four times the size of Youngstown. -
ThinthickbigredThe Toledo and Youngstown metro area's are not that far apart. Youngstown has alot of big towns surrounding it.

You forgot to mention he will be sitting the second qt till the state game. then he will sit by the 3rd. unreal div 5 schools dont stand a a chance with the likes of a div 2 team. hell most div 1 cant touch Ursuline. sad to see all the div 5 playing for there ultimate doom. sad... -

You guys do not live by that logic of: In order to be the best, you have to beat the best. I laugh with all the people on this website and the Huddle that make excuses. Maria Stein beat us, Coldwater has beaten Mooney, they can be beat. -

By your thoughts..why the hell are they even having D5 playoffs? -
soupcitysoldieri dont know any of the other teams in d5...i just know campbell beat south range by 21. whats ursuline going to do to them
-
Spread All DayUrsuline is my opinion is going to destroy South Range.
But anything can happen..

Old RiderThe state should just give them the D5 trophy now!
Nobody will touch them in the playoffs...not even close!
I like the saying "to be the best, you have to beat the best", but it would take a damn good D3, D2, D1 team to take them down..nobody in D5 is doing it anytime soon! -

Im wondering the same thing....but i guess if they just ship the trophy to them....OHSAA dont get the revenue from the games. What a joke.GoChiefs;539055 wrote:By your thoughts..why the hell are they even having D5 playoffs?

FairwoodKingI saw Ursuline dismantle my boys from Big Red. I would say that there is not a team in Div. V that can touch them. But of course, that's what we said about Mooney in 2007. Anything can happen. That's why they play the game.
