Sorry Square, I quit reading after that. I don't think anyone "destroyed me".

People generally fall into 2 categories..

    1. Those that are easily swayed by salesmen, and or the media.
    2. Those that don't buy the bullshit and analize the facts.

And this is true not only in sports, but economics and political issues as well.

I happen to fall into category #2. Most people fall into category #1.

Jamison has a true shooting% of 47% with the Cavs I believe (could be at (45%)

His 3pt shooting is at 35%

Those #'s are with the Cavs.

He guarded Rashard Lewis pretty well during the Orlando game and also abused Lewis offensively.

The only gripe I have is that I don't think the Cavs are using him correctly yet. They are trying to use him as a spot up shooter, which he is NOT.

Antawn gets going from the inside (don't we all) while working from his post up or triple threat position. From there he has a wide variety of shots to go to. After he gets going from the inside, his outside shot usually turns into an automatic thing.

This was shocased in BOTH the Orlando and Milwaukee games.

^^ Those numbers are eskewed in that he scores a lot around the basket. Secondly, other teams leave him wide open outside of 18 feet. They love it when he shoots from out there. This strategy will be more markedly noticed come playoff time.
  • hoops23
Well, I'm not one to criticize a player for scoring from a certain area.

In fact, I wish the Cavs as a whole would attack the basket more.. Hopefully they're saving that for the playoffs.

However, Jamison isn't open because of his shooting, he's open because of the team around him.

He was never left open in Washington, yet he's still had a great career, including some great playoff series.

The great thing about having Jamison is, it gives us 5 legit scorers come playoffs. LeBron, Delonte, Mo, Antawn, and Shaq. We no longer need to worry about Mo having a great game every night, because we have guys who are capable of going for 20+.

You stop reading after that because you're a dirtbag fuck who can't give me the same respect I tried to give you.

GTFO, you're nothing more than a fly that keeps landing on every thread and annoying everyone anymore. That's what you've become. Congrats, douche bag.

Another member of the "I destroyed FootWedge "club I take it.
I'm not going away. You have 2 choices.
  • SQ_Crazies
I don't care where you go. What kind of sick fuck gets off on how many people have him on their ignore list? I'm just sayin', you made it VERY clear that you aren't even trying to do anything but be a douche bag after you wouldn't give me the same respect I tried to give you.

You're the one that bumped a week long thread..just to take another pot shot at someone you don't even know. Don't act like you're patrionizing me.

My opinions differ from yours...and somehow I get "STFU" from 5 different posters. Seriously?

like I said...you have 2 choices. Ignore me or read me.
  • SQ_Crazies
Maybe you'd understand what I mean if you would have read the post where I explained it. Instead you had to be a hardass.

I quit reading your shit after you took your shot. Hopefully, you're not an English major. If you want to editorialize a point, then don't open it with a pot shot. Idiot.

I've held back for a few weeks now while others destroyed you because I think that most of the time, you contribute a lot to an NBA discussion. And I like that, I like guys that can have a higher than normal level conversation. I may not always agree with you but that doesn't bother me--I like guys like you, LTrain, Sage, TrueBlue, devil, even sleeper. There are guys I forgot, not on accident, I'm just not going to make a list any longer than that--sorry lol. But the reason I made that post is because I feel like you've gone overboard with the Jamison shit and the argument about whether or not the Cavs were better last year--and I think that both arguments at this point are pointless. We have Jamison, he is playing a lot of minutes whether you want him to or not. And last years team vs. this years team, that really isn't an argument IMO and by the opinion of nearly everyone--but regardless of how any of us feel about it, it doesn't mean anything. It doesn't matter any more than what kind of cereal Z is eating this morning means. It's just pointless.

So what I'm saying is you're getting away from contributing to good conversation and just pushing stupid bullshit that fills up threads with a bunch of shit that doesn't matter. Let's just move on, I don't care what you think about my internet personality either--it's whatever, it doesn't matter. But let's just continue to enjoy the season and cheer on the Cavs--just support Jamison man, he's part of the team now. He didn't come to blow up the title hopes, he came to help and he's been doing that. In fact, right now I think he's helping the team in a HUGE way. The way he's been able to carry us with his scoring in the 1st half is big for us, because it's allowed LeBron to go off for a few HUGE second halves recently. Anytime we can take a lead into the half without LeBron having to expend too much energy, it's a VERY good thing for our chances of winning the game. And LeBron is showing his clutch dominance in the 4th from every point on the floor because he's fresher. He doesn't have to go out and get 20 in the 1st half. I love it. But really, this is a discussion for a different time--all I'm asking, respectfully and politely, is that you drop this BS. I like what you can contribute to a thread and there is plenty for us to be talking about. I'm sick of threads ever since the trade deadline ending the same way--a pissing match between you and literally everyone about something that doesn't matter..

I beg to differ, have you ever met September63?

Alright, I've honestly read not really nothing on this thread except this page, but do people really believe last years Cavs team is better than this years? Seriously? I'm a more casual NBA fan, but this years Cavs team seems way better to me.

Just one guy. He has something against Jamison for some reason. It's really pretty comical.

Since you a just a casual fan, then it's quite understandable to think in the present vs the past. But last year's team was slightly better. Last year's team sgould have won it all, but they didn't. Just the way it hoes.

Last year's team was 45 and 2 at home (exckuding the finale whrn all the players rested.)

Last year's team won each game by almost 2 points per game more than this year's team.

This year's team is really great...but last year's team was slightly better.
  • hoops23
    lol.
  • SQ_Crazies
Cavs were 1st to 50 wins this year. Had 54 before another team got 50.
We couldn't beat the better teams in the league last year, this year we've done great in that aspect.
Roster from top to bottom is better and there is ZERO argument against that.

    What FagWedge said.
  • Lovejoy1984
But Joe Smith averaged more RPM than Jamison thus he's better.

    Boom Roasted.
  • hoops23
    Wally/Big Ben/Joe Smith/Sasha P > Shaq/Jamison/Powe/Moon/Parker/Jawad

    Duh.
  • Footwedge
Nice to see Larry, Curly, and Mo finally show up. LOLOLOLOL. Isn't time for you 3 to bump the other thread I started? I'm like the fuckin internet pied piper with you people. The Cavs magic number is down to 8 now. Go ahead and bump it. And tell me to get off my own thread that I started. Funny material.
  • hoops23
What? I agreed with you wedgie. My goodness, can't you read?
  • SQ_Crazies
You're arguments suck harder than a Hoover and you think you're the smartest man alive. Brought it on yourself.
  • Footwedge
Looks like Larry and Curly are in a lousy mood again tonight. Don't know why...the Cavs rolled. Anyone else notice how good Leon Powe was?

Now Leon is a #4 we can be proud of.
