Nah, his agent overvalued his worth at his age. Asking for 125 over 5, turning down 80 for 4 and accepting 60 for 3.........he will be wanting to make a statement and will come out on fire.
Per usual, cleveland gets all the breaks-

Can someone with more knowledge than me, project a typical healthy 1-9 for me? Also, assuming Nap's done and Santana becomes full-time 1B?
I would expect Encarnacion and Santana to split one 1B/DH duties in much the way Napoli and Santana did last year.
Santana will lead off most of the time followed by Kip, Lindor, EE, and then either Brantley or Ramirez in the five hole.

    Santana
    Kipnis
    Lindor
    EE
    Brantley
    Jose
    Chis
    Gomes
    Naquin
    Agree, should be with:

    RF: Chisenhall R/ Guyer L
    C: Gomes 70/ Perez 30

Close to 50/50 split for Santana and EE at 1B/DH.

Will Zimmer to push for MLB time from Naquin?
Almonte might start against L for either.

I fully expect Naquin to be in AAA by mid-May.

I agree. I have a feeling we will see Allen or zimmer pretty early this year. Which I'm all for

    Fine with me.

Hopefully the only time we see Almonte is when they show shots of the dugout.

    1 year deal...$6 million.

Indians social media (which is an awesome follow) hinting at some big news coming soon. My guess is Lindor signed new contract.

Thy posted a picture of Lindor smiling on Instagram 4 hours ago that was captioned, "when you know really big secrets but your bosses have sworn you to secrecy."

"Big secret" is a concert involving a Rock Hall inductee.

Sure it wasn't the EE presser?? The Indians couldn't technically make it public until this am after he passed physical yesterday and signed.

It's Billy Joel. His show is on July 14th and I'm pretty fucking happy about it.

Guess you need to do something different to attract fans. When a shitty team with fickle fans like the Reds outdraw you in 2016 then you know something is awry.

Remember that time Reds fans sold out 455 straight games?

    Me neither.

Something weird is what happened with EE. With the Reds he was frustrating as hell. Signs of a 30 HR guy but mainly just flashes....also signs of a player with no head and dgaf. He would make the impossible plays but gaffe on routine stuff. It was DEFINITELY time for him to go. At first his time with the Jays the Jays saw what the Reds did and then released him....brought him back and he's maybe the most consistent power hitter around???

Toronto, NY, Boston, Baltimore all very good hitters parks for power and Tampa not bad either....around 120 games in good power hitting parks .....other 42 games at least 10 more games. 130+

Now in Cleveland ....those 120 home and divisional games are pretty much all bigger parks. His home runs seem to be moon shots more often than not....but I'll be surprised if his slugging % doesn't go down from .550 to .500 and HR from 38 a season to 30-32.

Still a huge addition but I'm still a tad skeptical....but would be happy as shit if I were an Indians fan.

All but 1 HR last year would've been gone in Cleveland. Not sure about other Central parks, but Cleveland for sure.

Friendly bet? I'm not overly confident in my thought, but will if you like.
