I assume that was a tongue in cheek post.

If Mr. Manziel can't play I would hope someone would be taking back-up snaps. Austin Davis #1 and Terrel Pryor #2

TP beat the Steelers the last time he faced them.

I was going to mention this before. I know it's the holiday season but old FW has disappeared since Sunday.

I know Manziel had a shitty passing day but I at least expected to see him gloating about the "all-time record for most yards rushing by a QB for the Browns in one game" or some kind of spin shit to deflect off of 13 for 32.

Sounds like he's out for Sunday. Wonder if that was his last game in a Browns jersey.

I have no clue why it would be. Reagrdless of HC/GM doesn't make sense to not bring him back. He's under contract, young, inexpensive and the franchise has a 1st round pick invested. Unless Dallas offers a 1st, I dont see why he wouldn't be here. lol at posters (legit forget who) in here saying to cut him and gordon bc they hurt their feelz.

I'm to this point too with Manziel. No reason to cut him if he's under contract like they should've done with Dwayne Bowe.

Just because they keep Manziel doesn't mean they can't use the #2 on a QB if that's what they want.

Having a new QB, with JFF still on board, would be a disaster.

If you draft a QB, Manziel has to go. If you dont draft a QB, Manziel has to start every game healthy next year.

    A disaster? lol so dramatic

I think it all depends on who stays and who goes regarding GM and HC. Pettine stays...he's most likely out?

Why? Let them fight it out. I know Manziel's a distraction but if you can't get any value for him via trade, don't just cut him. He does have some value, although not much.

If AJ McCarron leads the bengals to first Playoff win in last 20 yrs, you have to cut Dalton! IT would be a disaster not to. /laley hottake

lol, not to pile on laley, but I don't get how people are so "cut happy." It's a last resort option imo. Teams who continuously cut players are not good. The Browns aren't New England where they have the luxury of a top 3 QB of all time to hide any flaws, while working improving the roster.

if these rumors about Ron Wolf's kid being the GM are true, I could see him (Wolf) pursuing the Seahawks OC, Darrell Bevell, as the HC. They have previous ties to each other.

Let me go on the record, Hue Jackson is my dude. I'd be ecstatic if they could land him as the HC.

Best case scenario - Petty Pettine comes back

2nd Best Case - Hue Jackson

I can see Laley's point with the "disaster" comment. The Manziel jock sniffers are insufferable. First time a rookie threw a pick there would be "Johnny" chants. Not a situation you'd necessarily want for a rookie starting.

Only a bunch of mentally weak pussies would let that bother them. And for the record, I 100% disagree with your analysis of Browns fans on this topic.

If a QB can't handle JFF chants he probably can't handle the NFL.

Agreed, just dumb ill thought out logic.

Hell, even Derek Anderson had a good season with brady quinn chants coming from the crowd.

Brady eh "Jock Sniffers"(?) were much more insufferable than JFF "Jock Sniffers" too.

Most of the mocks I have read have the titans taking a tackle. I am drafting Joey Bosa if he drops to the Browns.

This would gain heavy steam I'd bet though.

Solid point. I don't necessarily follow the Bengals but I'm pretty sure there were some who wanted McCarron to start the season because of Dalton's playoff woes. I don't think Dalton will ever win them a ring but he's their best option.

He is but enough of them would be yelling enough about it to cause a stir.

The booing at the celebrity all-star game was very very telling...and embarrassing.
