4 games in huh? Alex Smith has won something like 70% of his games over the past 5 seasons while staying healthy, I'll take it. Don't turn the ball over, makes plays and stay healthy. Would love to have that QB.

If Kessler is Alex Smith then we have 0 need to draft a QB #1 overall and we can take the best prospect. Fine with me.

Alex Smith actually has a decent arm.

I meant there playing style is similar. Of course smith has a better arm, but with training Kessler can develop a stronger arm. Drew Brees first couple years had terrible arm strength. It all depends if he can develop it or not. As far as smith, he's also had some very good weapons and defenses behind him. But imo Kessler ceiling would be Alex smith.

I'd like to see Kessler's throws when he doesn't have bruised ribs and has time to actually step into a throw without being decapitated. Guy might be McCown 2.0 as far as staying in the play so long he might die on the field.

Found this interesting...via Twitter:

Wentz first 3 full games- 769 passing, 5TD 0 INT
Kessler first 3 full games- 803 passing, 4TD 1 INT

Stats can obviously be misleading...but that's not awful I don't think, for having a horrid pass protecting O-Line and 1 real weapon at WR that's healthy

Some players have great skill sets but can't get it done. Some players have average skill sets and get it done. The most extreme examples are Tim Tebow having a horrible skill set but would win games somehow and won a playoff game, Ryan Leaf had a great skill set but was a loser.

Dak Prescott is dinking and dunking and people are creaming their pants. Kessler is putting up good numbers with a sieve protecting him. How did Wentz look when he had a rookie shit RT starting this week?

Jesus you're dumb. Dak is not just dinking and dunking.

Yeah, he's third in the NFL in yards per attempt.

I might be more upset on missing...3 times worth...on Dak compared to Wentz.

Sidenote...anyone else see that move Beasley put on the DB for the TD at the end of the game? That was nasty

Did I say just? His average pass attempt is 10.7 yards...everyone acts like you have to throw bombs all day to be the next Browns QB.

Generally.....7 yds/attempt and 10/completion is solid....

"It’s at the other end of the scale where Prescott’s conservatism shows. Only Chicago’s Jay Cutler has gone deep (passes of 20-plus air yards) less than he has, and Cutler missed the last game injured. On a per-attempt basis Cutler has actually gone deep more than twice as often, and Prescott’s 6.1 percent is the lowest mark in the NFL, below even the permanently conservative Alex Smith in Kansas City (7.7 percent)."

There is that where they rate the actual yards down field and also the yards per attempt/completion. Both tell a story. If Prescott's avg yards/attempt is over ten that is good even if he isnt physically throwing it downfield often. It can very well mean he is picking the right receivers, hitting them in stride so they can keep on running. If he recognizes a guy short over the middle and throws it 5 yards but he gains 15 that is just as good

SMH, my point wasn't whether or not he's doing well, my point was everyone wants to shit on Kessler in this town while putting Dak and Wentz on pedestals and its dumb.

Lol no one is shitting on Kessler. He's playing fine, all things considered. Doesn't mean he's our future.

Lol, no need for facts man

No way I'm taking Myles Garrett at 1 overall. He hasn't made a single play vs Alabama. Maybe he's injured, but he's got bust potential for sure.

He was getting double teamed all game. And unlike most teams today he was getting double teamed by two future NFL players.

I watched him on every play...he was not getting double teamed.

And the dude is playing on a busted ankle and has for weeks now. Yet he still makes plays.

What plays did he make?

Again, watched him the entire game, didn't see one difference-making play.

Garrett at #1 would be an awful pick after today. What game were people watching with double teams? Not only that, when he had a chance, he whiffed on the tackle.

This. No thanks on Garrett at #1.
