So yeah, the Browns are getting shit stomped; tell me more about Manziel the Savior.

    He's trash.

    79.2 now. Reality set in.

The difference in receiving weapons in this game might be as big as I can remember.

    Johnny got crushed.

Josh McCown will be starting against Pittsburgh on the 15th.

Johnny didn't do himself any favors tonight.... awful performance

As well he should be. They score points when McCown is QB. This is the second lowest point total of the season. Manziel sucks and will be a career backup at best.

The Browns just need to worry about finishing with the worst record and getting a top QB in the draft. Biggest problem they've had over the last 15 years was always winning enough games to finish outside of the top QBs available.

Talent evaluation has been the bigger problem. Many great qbs have been available.

    True.

Brent Sobleski ‏ @ brentsobleski 48s 48 seconds agoMarshall Faulk just called out Mike Pettine about how Browns mismanaged Manziel in tonight's contest.
Pettine is going to regret that halftime interview in which he said he was going to "calm down" Johnny in the 2nd half.

So it's Pettine's fault that Johnny is so inaccurate?

You seem to outdo yourself each and every week. Manziel had a really good game that was ruined by Gabriel, Barnidge and Bowe. What happened in the 4th quarter was garbage time football with the Bengals blanketing receivers with 8 people, and the 3 pass rushers were steamrolling Schwartz, Mack and Bitonio.

Bengals are pretty solid across the board but might have the worst punter in the league
Haha, Huber is probably a top 3 punter in the NFL.

No it wasn't. I'm not one of these JFF "knob slobberers" like FW, but Manziel did nothing to NOT earn a start against Pittsburgh. QB is not the issue with this team , right now. Never thought I'd hear myself say that but they are historically bad, on so many levels.

JFF did enough last night for me to say "I want to see more." Give him 10 days to prep for Pittsburgh and see what happens. It's not like they're winning with McCown. Not to beat the dead horse but they need to know whether they are burning their top 3 pick on a QB or whether they have something to work with and are surrounding him with weapons.

If Pettine goes back to McCown against Pittsburgh, it's a fireable offense, imo. Not that he hasn't already earned the right to be canned but this season is lost and it's "evaluation time." Play Campbell, play Gilbert, play Manziel, etc, etc.

This is incorrect but he is showing progress in potentially becoming an NFL QB. Don't think he's a "franchise" guy but they need to keep starting him and see what's there.

I thought his receivers didn't do him any favors, but his ball placement also wasn't great. I don't think last night did anything to help or hurt his case. It was pretty neutral, overall.

Agree on both points. He didn't set the world on fire but he didn't look like the "worst QB in the NFL."

This team is losing and maybe has one more win on it's schedule (San Fran?). It doesn't matter who the QB is, at this point. Time to evaluate and see in Manziel can grow with a few more starts under his belt. If he crashes & burns, next......but he really needs to make progress over these last 7 games to keep you (the Browns) from drafting a QB high.

If we finish 3-13 and draft that high, I don't know if there is a qb in this class that you can justify drafting that high. I know we have a history of taking projects with high picks, but it like it always ends up being a wated pick.

Yeah, I know. It would be so 'Cleveland" to finally be in a spot to grab a legit QB and there wouldn't be a legit QB there. They will probably reach on one.
