So yeah, the Browns are getting shit stomped; tell me more about Manziel the Savior.Footwedge;1761293 wrote:It won't be long until you win the OC's annual idiot of the year award.

79.2 now. Reality set in.Footwedge;1761291 wrote:Manziel's 101.2 passer rating should surprise no one. Bill Cowher on the half time show is stunned and speechless. -
Ironman92The difference in receiving weapons in this game might be as big as I can remember.

As well he should be. They score points when McCown is QB. This is the second lowest point total of the season. Manziel sucks and will be a career backup at best.IggyPride00;1761383 wrote:Josh McCown will be starting against Pittsburgh on the 15th.
The Browns just need to worry about finishing with the worst record and getting a top QB in the draft. Biggest problem they've had over the last 15 years was always winning enough games to finish outside of the top QBs available. -

Talent evaluation has been the bigger problem. Many great qbs have been available.SportsAndLady;1761387 wrote:As well he should be. They score points when McCown is QB. This is the second lowest point total of the season. Manziel sucks and will be a career backup at best.

Pettine is going to regret that halftime interview in which he said he was going to "calm down" Johnny in the 2nd half.Brent Sobleski ‏ @ brentsobleski 48s 48 seconds agoMarshall Faulk just called out Mike Pettine about how Browns mismanaged Manziel in tonight's contest. -

So it's Pettine's fault that Johnny is so inaccurate?IggyPride00;1761391 wrote:Pettine is going to regret that halftime interview in which he said he was going to "calm down" Johnny in the 2nd half. -

You seem to outdo yourself each and every week. Manziel had a really good game that was ruined by Gabriel, Barnidge and Bowe. What happened in the 4th quarter was garbage time football with the Bengals blanketing receivers with 8 people, and the 3 pass rushers were steamrolling Schwartz, Mack and Bitonio.SportsAndLady;1761387 wrote:As well he should be. Haha, Huber is probably a top 3 punter in the NFL.Ironman92;1761231 wrote:Nice hit on Dalton
Bengals are pretty solid across the board but might have the worst punter in the league -

No it wasn't. I'm not one of these JFF "knob slobberers" like FW, but Manziel did nothing to NOT earn a start against Pittsburgh. QB is not the issue with this team , right now. Never thought I'd hear myself say that but they are historically bad, on so many levels.Al Bundy;1761384 wrote:Johnny didn't do himself any favors tonight.... awful performance
JFF did enough last night for me to say "I want to see more." Give him 10 days to prep for Pittsburgh and see what happens. It's not like they're winning with McCown. Not to beat the dead horse but they need to know whether they are burning their top 3 pick on a QB or whether they have something to work with and are surrounding him with weapons.
If Pettine goes back to McCown against Pittsburgh, it's a fireable offense, imo. Not that he hasn't already earned the right to be canned but this season is lost and it's "evaluation time." Play Campbell, play Gilbert, play Manziel, etc, etc. -

This is incorrect but he is showing progress in potentially becoming an NFL QB. Don't think he's a "franchise" guy but they need to keep starting him and see what's there.Footwedge;1761394 wrote: Manziel had a really good game -
MulvaI thought his receivers didn't do him any favors, but his ball placement also wasn't great. I don't think last night did anything to help or hurt his case. It was pretty neutral, overall.

Agree on both points. He didn't set the world on fire but he didn't look like the "worst QB in the NFL."Mulva;1761418 wrote:I thought his receivers didn't do him any favors, but his ball placement also wasn't great. This team is losing and maybe has one more win on it's schedule (San Fran?). It doesn't matter who the QB is, at this point. Time to evaluate and see in Manziel can grow with a few more starts under his belt. If he crashes & burns, next......but he really needs to make progress over these last 7 games to keep you (the Browns) from drafting a QB high. -
Al Bundy
If we finish 3-13 and draft that high, I don't know if there is a qb in this class that you can justify drafting that high. I know we have a history of taking projects with high picks, but it like it always ends up being a wated pick.BR1986FB;1761419 wrote:Agree on both points. Yeah, I know. It would be so 'Cleveland" to finally be in a spot to grab a legit QB and there wouldn't be a legit QB there. They will probably reach on one.Al Bundy;1761420 wrote:If we finish 3-13 and draft that high, I don't know if there is a qb in this class that you can justify drafting that high.
