Stanton just hit a ridiculous HR into the Marlins bullpen in Philadelphia.....right handed batters shouldn't be able to do that.

I wonder if Detroit is #1 because Cespedes and Cabrera can skew the average with some absolute monster shots. I know Cespedes had one clocked at 116 mph earlier this season. Still it's unreal what these guys can do, my ball speed in Golf with a titanium driver that weighs nothing and a ball that weighs nothing is 153-160, to be only 35-45 mph off with a wooden bat and much heavier ball is crazy

I concur. All we needed was a BGSU reference shoehorned in and that post would have reached the trifecta.

    For those unaware, the trifecta:

    1. Detroit worship.

    2. Directly using himself as a comparison point to a pro athlete, regardless of how illogical or nonsensical said comparison is.

    3. Acting like BGSU is this super-cool locale in comparison to most anyplace in the general region.

I have clocked his line-drive HR at just over 3 seconds. Insane.

Any time Classy brings up golf I crack up. I would love to go with Classy to any golf course, play for $1,000 a hole, inevitably take him behind the woodshed, and post a picture on here of me holding his money.

Josh Hamilton reportedly going back to Texas, and Angels eating $68 mil of the remaining 83 on his contract.

,So the Mets have a 6 game lead on Washington...Hmmm. The O's are in last place....Hmm. And Houston is in first place,

And none of this means anything.

The final 90% of the season could play a factor

    Be careful using percentages
  • Ironman92
    lhslep134;1724027 wrote:Be careful using percentages
    It's easy. 90% = 5/7 .....so in a 162 game season 90% is 75% more than 10% is 1/2 of the season.
  • Ironman92
Joey Votto has been outstanding....but Adrian Gonzalez has been even better.

Adam Wainwright out the rest of the season with achilles injury...damn

    Sucks for the Cards.

I hate the Cards, but think Wainwright's one of the best pitchers out there, so it's a situation where I'm like, "FUCK YOU GUYS HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!" on one hand, but kind of bummed on the other because it sucks when the elites go down. I probably won't have that sentiment whenever the Pirates play them though, as he is usually going 8 innings of shutout or one run ball against them.
  • Azubuike24
It sucks, but I don't feel bad. The Reds lost Cueto for almost 2 full years over a 4-year span, and Votto for about a year and a half (maybe longer) not being nearly the same. Chapman took the line drive off the head, Bruce isn't the same after the knee injury, Sean Marshall hasn't been healthy since 2012. It happens.
  • Ironman92
Bruce's knee is A ok....he's not had any brain injuries has he?

You'd picture this happening as a batter trying to burst out of the batters box on like a swing bunt, but he looked like he was loping loping out after popping in up and watching it go up in the air for a bit -- didn't look like he was rushing at all.

And it looks like Mesoroco may go on this list next. With his injury, he may never be a viable catcher again.

He was out of the line-up yesterday, and not in again today, so that tells you he's out for the benefit of his brain and not for his body!
