Don't make me out to be idiot pick6 or something. Actually he disappears when he puts his foot in his mouth.

Look, didn't think Browns had anything of value to trade to the Rams, and didn't think anyone was dumb/crazy enough to trade a starting QB for Bradford. Turns out I underestimated Chip Kelly's gusto, but not the Browns inability to land him. Fact remains, the browns wanted to trade for Bradford, but like I stated had nothing to trade the Rams to get it done. If a first round pick (like what was thrown around here) would have gotten it done, he'd be a brown. He's not, and we didn't land him from the Rams. Only thing that lands what is believed to be a franchise QB (not by me, Bradford sucks, huge contract, can't stay healthy) is another "franchise" QB (Foles) or draft picks to secure a "franchise" QB. Browns had neither, hence no deal.

So if Kelly/Browns goes full on retard, and trade bradford for 2 1sts so they can use 3 1st+ to get Mariotta than so be it, guess I'll be "wrong". You fuckers happy now?

Now you're just in denial. Just give it up man, we're all wrong about something on here.

I admitted I was wrong about Bradford being their starting qb. Didn't think a team would trade a starting qb or a pick to secure a starting qb to the Rams for Bradford. My b.

My concern is that Farmer is too stubborn to back off of the JFF "experiment" and that they will move forward with McCown. Another call I'd make if I was Farmer would be to New Orleans to see what it would take to get Drew Brees. Brees has got to be pissed that they are in rebuild mode and that they just traded his only weapon. If Manziel will be Farmer's guy, he can learn from Brees for a couple of years. Again, a pipe dream but I bet Brees is available for trade.

Obviously I would love Brees...but I didn't take that trade yesterday as going into rebuilding mode. I didn't like the trade, but I imagine QB's are happier with the front office trading for pro bowl offensive lineman than they are upset about trading away a receiver.

Plus they got picks to help with the defense or help contribute to their receiving corp.

Brees couldn't beat the Cleveland Browns WITH Jimmy Graham...not sure I want him QBing my team playing half his games in shitty weather without Jimmy Graham....the price to get him wouldn't be worth it either. I agree with us ending up with Bradford though. I trust in Farmer ...aside from that snitch Shannahan ratting him out over some texts hes done a pretty good job. I still believe Gilbert was Pettine's pick and JFF was Haslem's, the rest were Farmer.

Let's see.....Brees has no defense behind him, a "so so" running game and virtually NO targets to throw to now that Graham is gone. With the Browns, he'd have a better defense, better O-Line, a running game that could take the pressure off him and, assuming Farmer uses one of those #1's on a let WR, some targets to throw to.

Brees probably only has 2 solid years left. Am I saying they "would" reach out to New Orleans? No, but it would be worth a call to see if he was available. I'd leave no stone unturned if I was Farmer. Going into 2015 with McCown as the QB and "hoping" Manziel gets himself right is pointing toward a long, ugly season.

Brees would have been 11-5 last year on the Browns.

Gotta believe we will end up with Bradford especially if the reports are true we were trying to get him yesterday. Many think chip kelly is crazy but he is a pretty smart guy. He wants Mariota. We want Bradford. And we have the picks and Manziel to get him Mariota. I fully believe Bradford will be our starting qb this year

If we trade two firsts for a veteran, injury-prone, QB who has never won in the league, then we're dumber than I initially thought.

I tend to also think that Bradford may end up as the Browns starting QB but Farmer would be the dumbest GM on the planet to trade the two 1st's for him. I know the Browns need a legit QB badly but Bradford has too many "warts" to go all in on him.

Agreed, I might be willing to trade a 4th for him, but that's about as high of a pick as I'd be willing to give up, and I know that would get laughed at since people tend to over-value what they have.

I'd give them 19 for him.

Yeah WTF? Why do we want Bradford? He sucks AND he's way overpaid. I'd rather just throw next season away with JFF and McCown than even touch the trash that is Bradford.

I'd give them a 5th rounder at best for him.

This is what I'd expect their asking price to be. They may ask for 12 instead but Farmer would be very dumb to do that. #19 is probably overpaying.

Yeah, I'd rather "Fail for Cardale" than overpay with a first rounder.

I agree its worth the call. I just don't want to send two 1sts to get a guy for 2 years.

12 would be nuts. 19 is the highest I go, only because I think behind a line like ours, Bradford stays upright and healthy and when hes healthy hes pretty damn good.

Oh, Hell no. I wouldn't even give a 1st for Brees, at this stage in his career.
  • like_that
I wouldn't give up one first round pick let alone two for Bradford. I'd give away at most a 2nd round pick, and that's because I know how teams value QBs in this league.

As for any of this fail for cardale shit, I hope you guys aren't serious. The dude played 3 fucking games and you want him to be a first round pick for the Browns next year? LOL (if serious)

Edit: I also wouldn't give up a first for Brees. Considering age and talent, there are not many players in the league worth a high first round pick.

This. In 2013, the yr Bradford played the most games, he was terrible.

Rams had a ton of talent on that line last season, and browns had shitty pass rush. Didn't stop us from fucking that China doll up.

Any buzz on Knighton? Saw Williams signed with the Raiders....if we were really interested in Revis, wouldn't we have no problem dishing out some cash for the best DT available?
