Colts at Browns

I'll root for the team whenever they show an interest in winning. 70% of Browns fans agree with me. If they want to play the 27th ranked quarterback in the league that's their prerogative, It's my prerogative to boo the shit out of them. Trust me...there will be 50,000 people there that will be joining me in booing the shit out of them. Kojak needs to hear it...and the louder...the better.Al Bundy;1681844 wrote:I'm sorry that you spent your life savings on tickets to go see Johnny play. If you are truly a Browns fan, why wouldn't you root for them to win? I don't care who is playing, I root for the team. Then again, I never had a crush on a football player like you do.
Thi entire season has been thrown down the rat hole in playing a quarterback that to me...is worse than Brandon Weeden. -
Al BundyI'm impressed that you were able to calculate 70% of 73,000. That is the first middle school or above math problem that you have done successfully on this site.

They are 7-5 in December. I'd say they have shown an interest in winning this year.Footwedge;1681891 wrote:I'll root for the team whenever they show an interest in winning -
friendfromlowryI can't believe you guys continually argue with footwedge week after week. It'd be worthwhile if he wasn't a moron and responded to logic, but it's always "Listen up (insert stupid nickname here like 'butthead').." and then a bunch of nonsense where you wonder if he's gay for a early 20's male or not.

Go4alOngbOmBAll I know is this. Hoyer as a starter is 10- 5.........and that is a better record than I have seen as a Die hard Browns fan...in about I dont know.......6 years......

10-5 as a starter. That's all you know, isn't it? Brian was sure to remind of that this week didn't he? Just imagine what this team's record would be if the quarterback wasn't rated 27th. His completion percentage is the absolute worst in the league. Did I mention the guy can't move? I wouldn't be commenting on my logic if I were you.Go4alOngbOmB;1681993 wrote:All I know is this. I get to watch the Brian Hoyer horror show of dirt balls and air balls live and in person this weekend. Just like Billy Graham, Hoyer will make 50,000 people stand up scream Jesus Christ on a Sunday afternoon. -
BR1986FBIronman92;1681796 wrote:Christ what is your problem? I was watching ESPN and one of their reporters/commentators said that first. They cut to him...the guy on the spot, the guy they are paying to get the scoop and the first damn thing he said was the players overwhelmingly wanted Hoyer.
I dgaf one way or the other...a big ol Jimmy cracked corn to me. I didn't make the damn claim....I posted the claim the ESPN guy gave me.
So let me apologize for posting a claim the paid ESPN guy to give us answers made you freaking jintler.
The most telling comment to me was Joe Thomas saying "going to the rookie sends the message that you're playing for next year" so I do understand Pettine's reasoning for sticking with Hoyer. I don't necessarily agree with it but I understand it. It does sound like the locker room was a bit split (vets wanted Hoyer, younger guys Manziel).
As usual, Chuck Booms with his dumbfuckery saying that this decision will cost Pettine his job (he assumes "one and done" after at least a 7 win season)...LOL Booms was also ripping on Joe Thomas for making the above comments saying that "Thomas stinks" and "why don't you get another holding call, Joe." Booms is the frigging worst.
As far as Manziel, listening to his interview, you can tell he still doesn't have all of the terminology down pat. He said something to the effect of "I'm getting better with the terminology.....it's 'becoming' more second nature." That, to me, says he's getting there but he's not there yet. -
BR1986FBAs far as this game goes, thinking about it more, the Browns CAN win this. The only way this will happen is a) the O-Line sacks the fuck up (that means YOU, Joe Thomas) and plays an outstanding game, allowing the team to control the clock/keeping Luck off the field by running the ball and b) Hoyer doesn't have any dumbass mistakes and c) they keep the three and out's (offensively) to a bare minimum. If they can control the clock and keep this low scoring, they have as shot. Is it probable? Not likely but all of this QB controversy could be a rallying cry for the team to put it all together these last 4 games. But again, probably wishful thinking.
If this turns into a shootout, all bets are off. Sending Hoyer into a shootout against Luck is like sending someone into a gun fight with a water pistol. -

Joe Thomas should be the least of your concerns. He is allowed to have a bad game every 4 years.BR1986FB;1682004 wrote:As far as this game goes, thinking about it more, the Browns CAN win this. He's had several bad games. Whenever I hear the ref say "holding", I know the next words are going to be "number 73."like_that;1682005 wrote:Joe Thomas should be the least of your concerns. He is allowed to have a bad game every 4 years.

The main reason I said that is is he's going to be clamoring for Hoyer to remain the starter, he'd better sack the Hell up and support his QB. -

Several bad games in his CAREER sure, this year alone only 1 and that was last week.BR1986FB;1682008 wrote:He's had several bad games. Whenever I hear the ref say "holding", I know the next words are going to be "number 73."

He's not a scrub. In fact, he's probably a first ballot HOFer but some of you guys act like he's some kind of a "god" who can do no wrong. When there's a holding call on the O-Line, more times than not, he's the culprit. For those of you who say I give Thomas too much shit, I can easily respond that some of you are also biased/blind homers who think he's perfect.SportsAndLady;1682021 wrote:For fucks sake man. So over 50% of the holding calls go against Thomas. Got itBR1986FB;1682028 wrote:He's not a scrub. We have 22 offensive holding calls against us this year, 5 have been declined. 10 against our offensive line. Thomas has been called for 4. I may not be correct, but I thought I learned in school that 4/22, 4/17, and 4/10 are all < 50%BR1986FB;1682028 wrote:When there's a holding call on the O-Line, more times than not, he's the culprit.
Obvious, blind Thomas hatred is obvious -
BR1986FB
No "hatred" toward JT at all. Just find it funny how many, like fellow Ohio State fans, are blind homers when it comes to some players and their team. If you're at all critical of the team or a player, you're a "hater."lhslep134;1682069 wrote: Obvious, blind Thomas hatred is obvious -

And yet you're unaware that blind, unwarranted criticism, which much of your Joe Thomas critique is, does indeed make you a hater. You continually rag on the guy, tried to make a point earlier this year about run blocking when he was LEADING PFF in the stat, and generally ignore his good performances, insisting on only pointing out the negative.BR1986FB;1682076 wrote:No "hatred" toward JT at all. It is absolutely obvious to everyone, except you, that this sort of behavior makes you a hater and not an objective critic.
We know Joe Thomas isn't Mr. Steal Yo Girl, so what did he do to you? Ignore you once? -

You act like he isn't a first ballot hall of famer. You are literally the only one on this site that talks about Thomas' holding calls each week.BR1986FB;1682028 wrote:He's not a scrub. Commander of AwesomeAlso one of the holding calls on Thomas last week was a fucking joke by the worst rated officiating crew in the league. That crew was godfuckingawful. Ironman can back me up on that.
Thomas still played poorly, but not going to crucify him because the officials where as smart as buttwedge. -
BR1986FB
Actually, if I was the "hater" you claim, I would've been on the Buffalo thread giving him shit for his poor performance that day, like many others were. I haven't said a peep about how he played against Buffalo until today when I said he needed to "sack the fuck up" after clamoring for Hoyer to be the starter. In fact, performance-wise, he may have played well, minus the bonehead penalties. I explained myself on why I said that (you want him Joe, step up and prove it) but it got turned into "JT's the last of your worries." You back a guy (Hoyer), then step up and perform. That's what I was saying but it somehow got interpreted into "Joe Thomas sucks."lhslep134;1682080 wrote:And yet you're unaware that blind, unwarranted criticism, which much of your Joe Thomas critique is, does indeed make you a hater. I think he likely IS a first ballot HOFer, which I already said and, no, I don't talk about Thomas holding calls each week because he doesn't hold EVERY week. If he did, the "HOF" comments wouldn't be made because he wouldn't be that good if he had to hold every week.DeyDurkie5;1682082 wrote:You act like he isn't a first ballot hall of famer.
