If your sole purpose, along with others, is to go there strictly to boo Hoyer because you're not getting your way, I agree.

Josh Cribbs should be on the Browns. He may have lost a step, but I trust the guy to do the right thing back there. I think I heard on the radio that Cribbs has more punt return yards in 2 games than the entire Browns team hsas this season. Way to go Farmer.

Excellent post, if only because FW has no ability to comprehend your insult.

    Inside the numbers ditty......

The movable object vs. the resistible force this Sunday. The Colts have given up over 30 points a game on the road this year. Bryan Hoyer brings in his stellar 52 QBR over the past 3 weeks. Something has to give here folks.

The crowd will get unruly...and quickly...once the dirt balls, air balls and picks begin to mount against this sorry ass defense. Even the brilliant Kyle Shanahan opening up receivers by 10 yards can't change the quarterback's stripes.

Vontae Davis is OUT. Huge news for Browns, Gordon and especially Hoyer.

I told Jr. to sell the tickets after Pettine's shock and awe decision and he talked me out of it. But what's comical is someone like you calling out someone for being a deadbeat drunk. Irony is a cool word.

Ain't nobody got time for rational. We have our Johnny and we want him now, damn it!

With that said...I think Johnny should play. There is no comparison in talent. The only thing Hoyer had going for him was that he was taking care of the ball and not losing games or putting the D in bad spots. He has put together some nice 2 minutes drills...can't take that from him...but once he stopped having clean games, it was all over.

Shanahan's a good OC but if he were so "brilliant", he wouldn't run that stupid toss to the running back's 10x's a game and he would've been throwing more on 1st down against Buffalo to keep the defense honest and open up the running game.

I think we will see Manziel some this weekend. Not due to Hoyer getting yanked (but that is very possible) but because I think they are going to put in special packages for him. Pettine discussed this in his press conference.

Only way he doesnt is if Hoyer plays lights out from the start

Not saying that's not probable but even if Hoyer plays lights out, I think we see JFF in some special packages (hopefully red zone).

That would kill Hoyer's confidence even more even if he doesn't get pulled. Having Johnny come in and score a red-zone TD would add gasoline to the QB controversy story, and Pettine has thrown down with Hoyer as his guy.

Iggy, why did you talk Footwedge out of selling your tickets this weekend?

Jeff Thomas, who does the 20-20 sports minute updates on the Fan, had a one liner this morning that had me shoot my morning coffee out my nose. The Shanahan interview where he said the quarterback decision was close call but coach decided to go with the guy that has a 7-5 record....and then says he supports the decision to which Thomas quipped..."better watch out. there's a big truck backing up". He should have added how deep the load was too, but as the Bull would say....good job out of him.

Yeah...I'm sure Shanahan is real pleased playing the 27th ranked quarterback in the NFL against the top rated offense in all of football. Especially given the circumstances that he has a guy with a stronger arm, more accurate arm, and the ability to run it in in the red zone anytime he wants to in the red zone rotting away on the bench.
2 chuckles in one day...on the Fan. Fox and Bull just played the same clip on Shanahan "supporting" the coach's quartback decision and they both said that Shanahan wants Jhonny. LMAO.

Jim Donavan said Wednesday afternoon that the decision was split amongst staff. That contrasts with Pettine's claim that "all were in agreement" that Hoyer should start. One of the 2 is lying. Pettine has motivation to lie, Donavan doesn't.

I truly doubt Manziel sees the field in any fashion Sunday. It's pretty obvious that Pettine can't handle the heat of the debate. Moreover, we all remember Hoyer crying like a 2 year old after a Johnny package was used in the opener in Pittsburgh. Yeah, Brian is all about the team.

As for a red zone package...if Hoyer drives them down the field and then Manziel punches it in....all you will hear Monday from Hoyer is waaaa waaaa waaaa. Pettine only has a finite number of pacifiers for his boy.
