Since there's supposedly 15 teams interested in him, they probably want to get a jump on this?

Any news on the manziel front?

Pettine's press conference is at 12:30. It's expected to be announced then but info could leak a little earlier.

    Gag....

@JayGlazer: ‪#‎Scoopage‬: The Manziel Era is NOT beginning in Cleveland yet as Brian Hoyer has been informed he will start this weekend vs Indy

    Yeah, just saw the Tweet.

    Wrong move, imo.

But, the meltdown of FW and Iggy will be WELL worth it for another week lolol

    I concur on both points

@JayGlazer: Hoyer had widespread support inside the locker room. No brainer according to players in there

Well then time for him to step the fuck up.
  • Commander of Awesome
Yup. I dont really have a big opinion either way, just win, but I expected it to be manziel.

Yeah, unless Cundiff hits 10 FG's (on 15 attempts) once Hoyer pisses down his leg in the red zone, I don't see old Brian keeping up with Luck in a shootout. Not that Manziel would necessarily either but I don't think either of them win this game and I'd rather see the rookie than yell at the TV all afternoon.

I fully expect Manziel to play in the 2nd half.

I'd agree with this. I think Hoyer will be on a VERY short leash.

How is Cundiff still on the roster? The dude has missed 3 FG's from less than 40 yards out, and twice in the last 3 weeks. That is inexcusable for an NFL kicker.

    I liked this tweet

Browns probably figure Manziel will be so drunk from his Saturday birthday that he won't be ready.

I get a sick feeling in my stomach every time Cundiff lines up to attempt a FG. I'm starting to get that same feeling every time Hoyer drops back to pass.

I might still start Johnny on my fantasy team this week just for the points he will get when Hoyer gets yanked again.

Well I expect us to lose. Hoyer does not give this team the best chance to win. I'm sorry. He's been absolutely horrible the last 5 games. I fully expect Manziel to be starting the second half.

How can you say Manziel gives the team the best chance to win? If you say you just want to see what Manziel can do, that's one thing, but to say Hoyer does not give the team the best chance to win is just your opinion trying to be passed off as fact. I'll trust that the coaching staff is putting the QB they believe to be the better of the two out on the field. I'm far from a big Hoyer fan, but it's funny when fans try to pass off their opinions as fact and expect everyone to just believe it.

    Blah!

    I'm doing a Nancy Kerrigan.

Hoyer to start the season was the right call. He didnt turn the ball over, and let the team win the game.

However, as the season has gone on and teams have been able to stop what the Browns want to do, Hoyer is no longer the man for the job. If this team doesnt turn the ball over, they are good enough to beat teams. But, if they do turn it over, they need to be able to make up for it on offense.

Last 8 games, Hoyer has 5 TDs vs 9 INTs. That is just abysmal. If you swap them, it still isnt great, but the team can win with the numbers. But since Hoyer has started to turn it over, he hasnt at the same time been able to put up the necessary points to counter it.

If hoyer struggles early, the crowd chants for Johnny will be LOUD!

His season went down the tubes with the Alex Mack injury. The running game has pretty much been in the toilet since. He can't feed off that play action that was helping him earlier. Now he has to throw it 30+ times a game, which is a recipe for disaster.

Well....looks like I pissed away $70. I will start booing during the national anthem. To Saleum, this team has no chance at all to make the playoffs. None, zero, nihil, nada with the 27th ranked quarterback in the league.

With Manziel, they had an excellent chance to make it. The fans continue to get cheated.

Putting Johnny in to start the second half 2 touchdowns down is not fair to the rest of the team nor the fans. Pettine is a fucking idiot. There is no other way to say it.
