Waiters wasn't my boy, but he did hit a clutch 3 for OKC tonight and shot 50% and was the 3rd leading scorer behind KD and Russ. The Knicks gave JR and Shumpert away for free. Just remember that. Keep trying though.

Smith is asss big of a black hole as Waiters, but he has more experience, better jumper amd is better at passing than waiters. I mean what does Dion have on Smith aside from youth?

And if Shump gets healthy...you basically gota perfect versatile wing defender who doesnt eat up shots amd Dion Waiters upgraded version. Idk whats bad about that trade, especially when Dion refuses to see he isnt first second,or hell even 3rd fiddle.

Btw,JR looks pretty damn good tonight. And im a little salty you guys got us to deal Mozgov, the price was right though

Milwaukee just jumped the Cavs in the standings. This is just not a very good team at all

Ball handling, defending, ability to take the ball to the hole, cheaper contract, and potential. I' think it was a good trade since we got Shumpert too. Adds some depth and needs.

And keep in mind its 2 protected first rounds from Memphis and OKC that got Mozgov. Both heavily protected.

@FearTheSword Follow "Two firsts" is a nebulous term. One of them is in the 20-26 range, the other might take years to convey.

If LBJ doesn't come back and pwn, we could end up the 8th seed/miss the playoffs.

Everything about this team kinda trends to your prediction....this team is not good.

.....I'm remaining positive and sticking with my prediction of them making the NBA Finals, even though nothing right now shows any sign of that

I either grossly overestimated the talent on this team, of they just DGAF.

I'm still only worried about the depth but do like adding Mozgov.

I believe there is a ton of time left but admit I'm not real convinced with Blatt

It's impossible to judge the Cavs right now. You have so many moving pieces with no LBJ.

Smith is going to end up a great piece, IMO. He is a chucker, but he won't be chucking in crunch time with LeBron on the court the way he has throughout his career...they needed bench scoring and defense on the wing, they got it.

And as for the playoffs, they are 7 game series, I don't care what seed the Cavs have, they have a shot. It's gonna be tough to beat LBJ 4/7 games when he is really playing his hardest.

I'm still not panicking. There has been NO consistency with this team. We've dealt with injuries to each of the big 3, Varejao out for the year, and now we've added 3 new players via trade. We're not even at the midway point in the season. The Cavs still have 45 games left, and I don't think it's unreasonable to expect them to go 30-15 the rest of the way, which would put us 16 games over .500 and in excellent position to have home court advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

In the words of Aaron Rodgers, R-E-L-A-X... RELAX!

I'm not scared yet either. We're not even 3 months in yet. I'll give these new guys 6 weeks to get comfortable before I judge anything. Luckily we're in the East so we can have a year with struggles and still make the playoffs pretty easily.

I'm much happier with the make up of the team after the trade. The obvious missing and integral piece is Lebron. I think once he gets back, the team will look the best it has yet. Complimentary pieces have been added. I just have little expectations without him. Wouldn't be shocked if we lose to the Lakers and beat the Clippers. As talented as K Love and Kyrie are, they've never carried a team to anything in their careers.

Just let Lebron take over as player/coach. He's got more say and power than Blatt does anyways, guys will listen to him more. If you watch them in a huddle, half of them DGAF to what Blatt's saying most of the time.

Ill give you defense and contract. But JR can dribble and take it to the hoop every bit as good as Dion. He may not finish above the rim as often or as explosively as Dion now. But he can certainly do it just as well. Dions potential is pretty much whst JR already is imo

Cavs actually played pretty well againt the Rockets and Warriors considering they were missing the best player in the world. Gonna have to give them time, they will likely end up with a top 2-3 seed in the east. So much of basketball is about chemistry, they need to get healthy and iron some things out on defense. Having Lebron back on the floor will make a huge impact, both in play and leadership.

Also why does Love never touch the ball in the 4th quarter? Makes no sense. That is on the coach and the players on the floor to recognize that.

Because he doesn't know what to do when the country is watching. That's what happens when you spend 7 years in Minnesota.

Sounds like a cop out to me, I saw him make plenty of clutch shots and plays in Minnesota, just didn't have a very good team around him. They don't even attempt to get him involved in 4th quarters it seems even after he has a very productive first 3.

Cavs finish as a top 5 seed. Book it.

i did the same. Not saying they can't save it but the east is worlds better than even a yea ago

They'll be fine. Once they are healthy give them 4 or 5 weeks a they'll be playing well. The bench is what will make the difference. They have a legit bench now. Blatt biggest improvement needs to be in his rotations. And they need a back up pg bad!
  • Lovejoy1984
Well Boogie has came to play today.
  • robj55
Who the hell plays zone in the NBA? Nobody because it doesn't work.
  • Midstate01
Fuck this team right now. They don't give 2 shits about playing as a team. And it starts with kyrie. He's in full hero mode tonight. Mozgov gets perfect position down low but kyrie just tries beating his man. It's fucking awful. Blatt has no idea how to cosch nba players and how to do rotations. His 2nd unit never has the right mix of guys. They get dominated and suck the life out of the team. Lbj better quit being a ***** and come back being the player he should be or this team will finish 6th-8th

Not a good team, with zero effort. Honestly I'm embarrassed. I don't think it's as easy as just LBJ coming back and everything is right in Cleveland again. These guys DGAF.
