Just my opinion. I don't think Love is unhappy in Cleveland. Just a hunch that he won't resign here.
Obviously I hope I'm wrong. And will gladly eat crow if I am.

I think Shumpert can contain Curry fairly well, but again who's going to guard Lebron? No one on that team can do it which is the exact same problem that the Hawks had. Butler for the Bulls was the only player who was able to somewhat contain Lebron but he doesn't suit up for the Warriors.Footwedge;1731150 wrote:I think the odds will drop like a lead balloon and just checked, they already have. Warriors down to minus 235. I don't understand the love fest for the Warriors...if one breaks it down player by player. For example, Curry is the reigning MVP. But who would you rather have in the playoff finals? Curry or LeBron? I think the answer is pretty obvious. Clay Thompson or Kyrie? Again, even though still hobbled, I'll take Irving. Draymond Green or TT? Edge to Cavs. Shump, Delly and JR vs. Iguadala, Barbosa and whoever else= wash.
I get the home court advantage thing but to have the Warriors at better than 2-1 is plain old nuts.
Gonna wire in the money and make a small fortune on this baby.
Harrison Barnes will get burned so bad this series he may retire at the end of the season to save future embarrassment. I don't think the Cavs sweep but it wouldn't shock me at all to see them win in 5. I'll stick with Cavs in 6. -

No chance. If Love leaves, it will be because the Cavs don't want him and not the other way around. He's a Cav, book it.SportsAndLady;1731170 wrote:I really don't think Love resigns in Cleveland. He wants to be in LA. Just a gut feeling.

I think the Finals start at the same time no matter what but it lessens the days the Warriors get to rest up without having to play.Ironman92;1731182 wrote:Might be the only time I'll root for the Rockets....extra days off won't hurt -
robj55Their front line next year could include Mozgov, Love, Thompson, Verajao and Lebron, unreal.

Whether Love stays or goes is irrelevant to cap I think, we're still over the cap either way.SportsAndLady;1731177 wrote:Nope. I'm not a blind follower of ESPN and other media sites.

Yeah it really has nothing to do with money to me. Just think Love is someone who will take his ring and go play in a major city as "the man".Commander of Awesome;1731194 wrote:Whether Love stays or goes is irrelevant to cap I think, we're still over the cap either way.
It's just a guess too. I really hVe no basis for my prediction.

I agree. I have been hearing from media he is likely to re-sign with cavs. But to me, he seems like his heart is west coast and being a main cog for lakers and being home is more attractive than being lost in the shuffle in Cuyahoga county.SportsAndLady;1731177 wrote:Nope. Thanks to Iman, looks like the Cavs have avoided the Lil B curse. -
Lovejoy1984Also, Kevin Love isn't leaving the Cavs, this season anyway. He may after next year, but not this year. I don't think he's leaving period. (Unless the Cavs move him, or tell him to move on)
And I've gotta think he realizes he'll take and make more memorable shots as a member of the Cavs in the next 4-5 years, as the 3rd option, as he would in LA as the #1 guy. -
slingshot4everWe never should have given up wiggins for him. It is clear we don't need him, nor is he worth the money.

Lol is this a joke? With a healthy love and kyrie, I honestly would expect a sweep or 5 games max in the finals. We saw once love went out how we struggled with Chicago until LeBron decided he wanted to take over and dominate. And plus we already have way too many wing scorers on this team. It made sense to deal him for loveslingshot4ever;1731212 wrote:We never should have given up wiggins for him. It is clear we don't need him, nor is he worth the money.

rydawg5I kinda agree with slingshot .. Seems like Tristan impacts the team in a different way that tremendously helps this team. With that rebound edge it seems like this team clicks better with Tristan over love

Lovejoy1984Why people are still hung up on Andrew Wiggins is beyond me? He's 3-4 years away from even being close to the same caliber player that Kevin Love is.
Andrew Wiggins, would barely be sniffing the floor if we swapped him out with Love, and kept everything else the same. But the fact the matter is, if we still had Wiggins, we wouldn't have Smith, or Shumpert. Probably wouldn't have Mozgov either. We'd be looking at a:
Kyrie
Dion
LBJ
TT
Haywood/Perk
with a bench of Miller, Wiggins, Delly, Marion.
You make the move to acquire a consensus Top 15 player 10 out of 10 times.
Why we're still discussing Wiggins is beyond me. -

Uhh I don't agree with sling's post but LOL at that lineup. There's no way that would be our lineup.HighRoller74;1731239 wrote:Why people are still hung up on Andrew Wiggins is beyond me? He's 3-4 years away from even being close to the same caliber player that Kevin Love is.

Varejao is hurt, so we don't have another big. I'm not gonna speculate on moves we might've made, so maybe we still dump the draft picks for Mozgov, but extremely unlikely that we'd have traded Dion for two Wings, when we had Wiggins waiting in the wings. -
Laley23Dion would've been traded for something, and Moz was a 100% trade when AV went down, especially with his history with Blatt. He wanted him pre injury.
Debating the trade is stupid. Debating whether you could've gotten Love for less is up for debate. -

I'm curious as to what you think it would take on the bolded.Laley23;1731256 wrote:Dion would've been traded for something, and Moz was a 100% trade when AV went down, especially with his history with Blatt. He wanted him pre injury.

We were lucky we got what we got out of Dion, as he'll be out of the NBA within 2 years. -
Laley23
I don't know. But Love wanted out, wasn't going to resign. Had basically said Cleveland or nothing. Cleveland had ALL the leverage. We have seen that story play out many times before and the trade goes through for "pennies".HighRoller74;1731257 wrote:I'm curious as to what you think it would take on the bolded.

I dont know know for sure, but my gut says that trade gets done a few weeks/months into season for picks/Bennett/???. Without Wiggins being a part of it. Seemed like Cleveland panicked when they had the upper hand. -
slingshot4ever
Love brings no defense and eats away at TT minutes. We don't sweep Atlanta with a healthy Love. We dont need him stretching the floor with Imam and JR on the perimiter and he can't rebound, especially not like TT.Crimson streak;1731230 wrote:Lol is this a joke?
