Right here. You'd think the media a-holes would do a little research. You can't fly with that injury that Love has. Also a good idea not to be sitting courtside in case a loose ball comes over and he gets hit. If that injury gets jarred, it's back to the drawing board...but, of course, doing research on the injury isn't as "fun" as stirring stuff up.

Thompson might be my favorite player to watch

The dude certainly gets after it, and he plays with fire and intensity, which is what makes him fun to watch.

Cavs better pay up and resign him. They offered $12M a year before the season started but I'd up it to $15M after this season. Offensive rebounding is hugely valuable in today's NBA.

Heard an interview with him yesterday and it sounds like he models his rebounding game after, of all people, Dennis Rodman. Said he just "keeps the ball alive by trying to tap it to himself."

It's the home court that's the biggest advantage but I don't see anyone on their team that can legitimately guard Lebron James.

The Cavs bread and butter right now, and as expected, is to use Lebron James to create space for the team to rain down 3 pointers. Having TT peaking and being a beast on the offensive glass only makes it easier to put up more points. Again, not sure how the Warriors have a snow balls chance in hell of stopping that.

15 million a year for a role player? You're nuts. Talk of him being a max player is crazy, a max player that gives you 10 and 10 and that you can't give the ball to when you need a score?

The guy that uses the eye test to determine his value on players is going to throw out stats to knock TT. Rob, you suck.

Is the salary cap going up next year or the year after?

It won't be a max deal because the salary cap is supposed to be ridiculous in 2 years. It's going from ~$70M to ~100M from the new TV deal. $15M is more than fair for a player who's going to be a solid player in the league for the next 5-8 years. He's a starter, especially when we move on from AV at the PF/C spot.

Plus I don't give a shit about the money, it's about keeping the player. TT has proven his value in this league and he's worth keeping.

A core of TT, Love, Irving, and LBJ is a title contender for a long time, even after LBJ starts to twilight in 3-4 years.

I'd also do w/e it takes to keep JR, Shumpert, and Delly. You can go ahead and cut Jones, Miller, Marion, Perkins etc; they are just trash on the bench.

My eyes tell me that he's not a max player, he can't get you a bucket when you need one and has no offensive game. Spin it however you want.

Agree on all but Jones and Perkins (for min salary deals only) Jones and Perkins can provide some value as bench/depth fillers.

    the year after

I agree they should keep TT, but 15 million for a role player is laughable, unless the salary cap is going to go up that much to where it's only about 10 million under the old cap.

See, LeBron spoke specifically about several of these guys being a key to their success this year. The reason being that they have championship experience, are great locker/team room guys. Not to mention, they really don't make any money. Jones and Marion make the veteran's minimum ($1,448,490 for 10+ years experience), Perkins is only making $434,547, and Miller is only making $2,732,000. For the minimal amount that these guys cost, you really aren't going to find many better pieces than them at the minimal cost. Not saying we won't/shouldn't let some of them leave, just saying that it would be foolish to kick them all to the curb for the small price we have to pay to keep them.

Bring all back, pay the $80 mil luxury cap, IDGAF. TT is a guy that's gotten better over his 4 yrs, elite rebounder, great lockerroom guy, durable, what more do you want? Just like in baseball where I'd never get rid of pitching, I'll never give up size in the NBA.

I agree but not for 15 million a year, that's way too much unless the salary cap is going up THAT much. I don't know the exact numbers.

TT will get paid...Shump paid...Love paid....because championships in Cleveland will be worth whatever it costs DG x's 10

I think it'll go up about 30-45 mill over next 2-3 years

Well that's a different ball game then. You can pay role players much more than you typically would.

No shit rob, hence why we are talking about those numbers for TT.
