2014-2015 Cleveland Cavaliers Season Thread

The ball movement has been great tonight. No possessions where it hasn't really moved.
  • Ironman92
    Manziel should be starting.
  • Pick6
Kyrie only has 3 shots and the Cavs just played their best half all season. Odd isn't it, Ironman?

Are you going to update every quarter this season on Kyrie's shots and assists?

I can if you want me to.

Do as you wish...just don't go all Iggy and make Kyrie the only factor the entire season. Of course moving the ball and setting up everyone is pivotal. There were several factors in that buzzer beating loss. K Love stunk and 2 main bench guys played a combined 46 min and didn't score. LeBron wasn't lighting up the assist column either.

I rarely delve too deep into the NBA threads. Hope you enjoy the Cavs season.

Kyrie is far from the only factor. I've just singled him out to prove a point, because using Dion as the scapegoat is beyond old and annoying. Excluding this game, Lebron could have been a lot more aggressive and stop turning it over so much, Dion could have had better shot selection, Kyrie could have distributed the ball better, Love could have shot better than 2/10, Mike Miller could actually hit a shot. Point is, its a work in progress and people need to chill out.

Hoping to score the firm's suite tickets for the game against NO Monday. Already heading to the game the 24th against Orlando as well.

I think this post is the first time I've ever mentioned Dion....but yes saw many others.

Nice to get this W tonight. Great team ball. Probably the best they've played all season.
  • Heretic
Yeah, they looked like a totally different team than what they'd been showing the past two games. Like a group of guys who'd actually heard of the concept of "playing together".
  • Ironman92
    Glad Marion played well

So 5 games into the season and I'm comfortable saying these new PD beat reporters have already lost all credibility.
  • Midstate01
Haynes had a direct quote. He's also extremely respected around the league. I was pumped when he was hired. I have 0 reasons to trust anything Dion says.

Well the report of Kyrie and Lebron "exchanging words" has been directly refuted as well. 0/2 on "big" stories this season 5 games in. Not sure why Dion would go back on his words. Whats even more of a LOL is the report came out right around Nuggets tip-off...and Dion was out there for the national anthem.......

    That was/is really strange.

Can you show me where one of the new PD beat writers reported the Kyrie/LeBron story? Everywhere I have read has Windhorst and ESPN attached to it.
  • friendfromlowry
Speaking of Windhorst, I'm getting tired of seeing his fat face on ESPN reporting on everything short of Lebron's bowel movements.

Some would enjoy a poop log.

"We're getting word out of Cleveland this morning that Lebron has been restricted to the toilet with what ESPN NBA analyst Brian Windhorst is calling 'devastating diarrhea' - we go now live to him for the full report."

Windy is the worst too. The dude has hated on Cleveland for about a year now saying Kyrie doesnt want to be here, Lebron would never come back, Lebron doesn't want to play with Kyrie, etc. I could go on and on if I had the time, honestly. The only reason he has gotten anywhere in his career is because he happened to work for the ABJ when Lebron was with Cleveland the first time. He's lost his good sources.

Still says that ESPN(Windhorst) was the first to report it. Are we sure that the ESPN sources and the NOMG sources are not the same? I know there isn't really a way to determine that so if noone is refuting this, how we can say that Haynes is losing credibility with reporting it? I'm giving Haynes the benefit of the doubt because like Midstate said, he is well respected around the league.

For the most part, reporters aren't making shit up. Especially when they have already reached the status of these guys. They may be wrong, but they aren't just making it up. They get their info from reliable people.

When they look like idiots is when they give their opinion. But if they source it, at the very least, there is smoke...
