Yes because passing is infectious and contagious and shooting is not, in a positive way.

    Whichever would win.

Cute stat but he had 34 points.

Would rather have my pg get people involved and drop 20 than go Kobe Bryant mode score 34 points shoot 23 times and not manage a single assist. Lol i assume it usually works out more favorably for the team if a pg does that too

Looked like favors moved a little on that screen that lebron fell down on to set up the game winner

Yep, passing and team ball is infectious.

Someone on the floor asked Miller why he fouled and he motioned towards the bench. I went back and watched the play again and it looks like Lue tells him to foul. After the FT's a TO was called and it showed Blatt asking the assistants why they would foul to which one of them said something along the lines of I have no idea. Meanwhile, Lue just stares at Blatt with a dumb look on his face. Miller did what he was told and they definitely did not need to foul.

So because Tyron Lue, then. It'd just be nice if they were all on the same page. Don't play 47 minutes of competitive basketball and potentially blow the last minute by fouling when you don't need to.

As for Irving's box score. Most of his 23 shots were driving the lane, throwing up garbage shots over two or three defenders. He had a great, perhaps lucky, night scoring the way he did. But he won't be scoring a lot of points on those kinds of shots consistently. Remember five months ago when we watched the Spurs win a championship with team basketball?

Yeah...Irving's fault with 34 points. Kevin Love does anything better than 2/10 and Cavs win. If Marion or Miller score in their 46 min of play they win.

But but but he's supposed to pass!!!!

When Miller fouled they zoomed in on him and it looked like Lebron pointed to the clock, Miller threw his arms up and pointed to the bench, as if to say "im just doing what they told me"

I watched the game last night and we look terrible. Lebron barely seems like he's trying and there is virtually no offense. It's a lot of 1 on 1 with Irving and Lebron taking turns at it.

But I think we will be fine.

Kyrie has 36 shot attempts over 6 quarters without an assist. As long as he's getting his though!! It's obviously working.
  • Rotinaj
The whole team is playing like shit. Trying to put more blame on any 1 guy is dumb.

Just let us know at what point to start addressing him as Kyrie Diop.

Hes not a bad player by any means, but when your pg goes 6 quarters without an assist and your team has less assists in a game than any team did last year in 1230 games....its not a good sign

The encouraging part for me was to watch them in the second half. Yeah, they lost the game, but they looked much better in the second half outside of Kyrie's tendency to go 1 on 5. Defensive intensity looked much improved, and there was more ball movement. Still not where we need to be on the offensive end of the floor, but I liked what I saw from a defensive standpoint.
  • robj55
They need to move the ball to the weak side of the floor, they aren't getting any open and quality looks because Kyrie keeps the ball in his hands far too long in the pick and roll and plays with it too much. Move the ball and make the extra passes to the weak side and then attack, simple basketball.

Maybe we'll hear more about the "exchange" in the locker room between LeBron and Kyrie after the game. ...or maybe we won't.

  • Con_Alma
Don't know. Apparently it was after the Portland game though.

    Source?
  • Con_Alma
Windhorst ESPN reported it based on multiple eyewitnesses.

Real question, is Kyrie able to be a legit facilitator?? Going back to h/s and then at Duke....has he always been a shoot first PG?
