This is exactly why it's not going to happen overnight. Everyone says things like, "pass the ball more" or "reverse the ball," but if it's a different style of basketball than you're used to playing, it's going to take time. I know when I was in high school, I was a good shooter, but I was very passive when it came to scoring because our coach was one of those "pass it 5 times before you shoot" kind of guys. When I went and played in college, I had to learn to be assertive and attack. It's a learning process. These guys will be fine. I remember there being some "words exchanged" between LeBron and Bosh early on too. It's going to take time, but the team is not a failure. The only thing that would cause this team to be a failure is if they never adjust and never learn to play together. The talent is there, the methodology is still a work in progress.

I don't think he necessarily needs to be a great facilitator, he just needs to not be a ball stopper. There's a lot of middle ground between black hole and John Stockton.

Think we will see less and less of kyrie being the point guard. Lebron will go back to bringing the ball up more and being the facilitator.
  • Midstate01
Then again I've been completely wrong on just about all my predictions so far.

Apparently Bill Simmons thinks Lebron is like PUjols.....just over the hill I guess!

Irving is a scoring PG. LBJ is more of a player who spreads it around than Irving is.

I don't see Kyrie's role in the offense being much different than Wade's, other than the fact that Kyrie can shoot the three pretty well. Obviously, Wade learned to play off the ball, though, so Midstate might be right that LeBron starts "conducting" the offense a little more.

    But...but...but weren't they gonna go 82-0!?!

just ban me now...you know you want to.

So bill Simmons is just as dumb as classy? Got it.

Get rid of Dion and some of this will clear itself up.

His negativity infects the team and the guy is a black cloud that misery follows around.

Bring in a defensive stopper who isn't worried about scoring to take his place and this team will look exponentially better.

He actually made a lot of the points I did. Ha kinda funny, but seriously Lebron needs to start being intense again. Sloppy play isn't unwatchable, but not playing with intensity is

Wow. I hope that is not the case but it is possible....

I'm sorry... but Lebron doesn't go from the most athletic freak on the planet to a worn out bum in just a matter of 4-5 months, especially considering how hard he worked out in the "off" season.

    Tristan Thompson is a beast!

Gotta be up at 0600 for work so I'm not going to be watching this one. Too bad because the Cavs finally look like the team we thought they could be.
  • SportsAndLady
    Well that was dirty
  • Laley23
Darrell Arthur with the dirtiest play of the year thus far.
  • Laley23
Its amazing the Cavs dont get every damn rebound.

Love, Andy, Thompson and LBJ are just amazing on the boards (LeBron for his position).
