2014-2015 Cleveland Cavaliers Season Thread

Cavs have been the most efficient team in the NBA on the offensive side of the ball for their last 3 games. That defense though... smh.
  • Ironman92
    Pelicans go for 139?

EG didn't miss a shot and Rivers 8/9? Life is good there lol.
  • Rotinaj
Cavs looking ok on offense so far.
  • Midstate01
Now this is fun to watch. Wowwwwww
  • Footwedge
Clinic. First blowout of the year.
  • Fly4Fun
So the Cavs offense has definitely found its stride.
  • Ironman92
as they score 83 their next game
  • Con_Alma
Minnesota is apparently shopping Corey Brewer and both the Cavs and Rockets appear to be interested.
  • Midstate01
Meh... they need a big. Already seeing two signings they got, miller and Jones, playing little or none
  • Footwedge
Cavs have now won 4 in a row. Once they figure out how to play defense, they will be unstoppable. Also, before the last 2 games, their studs were all shooting wayyy below their career numbers. Nice to see the law of averages playing out.

You're a moron if you think they signed either of those guys to play big minutes. Signing those guys was more about adding veteran leadership and creating a winning culture in the locker room. Plus, they are high IQ guys that are quality practice bodies and were signed to minimum deals. Not every signing needs to be a haul.

    Remember when....

Classyposter58;1671085 wrote:Seriously he looks terrible so far. I've never watched him and thought man he looks bad, yet early on he's played pretty poorly. Like last night was the type of game you expect him to take over the game as he has hundreds of times before, and he was unable to score a point in the second half? He just hasn't been explosive this year which really raises eyebrows. Bottom line is he's got 11 years under his belt and may be on the downside of his career, which isn't bad considering Pujols this season had 23 and 105 for the Angels this year
Classyposter58;1671090 wrote:So you think he looks good? That effort last night was horrible. 17 points and 8 Turnovers deserves a pass as well? He just hasn't even looked remotely like the guy who played in Miami last season so far
Classyposter58;1671097 wrote:Yup I did. Have you watched him this season? He looks disengaged and unexplosive through 3 games and this isn't with Wade and Bosh, but two guys in Love and Irving who should really compliment each other well.

You made my Pujols comparison smart with your comment however. He fucking owned in the playoffs with 5 HR's and 15 RBI's in the NLCS and WS combined with over a .500 OBP and had 37 HR and 99 RBI in the regular season while hitting .300
Classyposter58;1671104 wrote:Lets hope he does and I expect him to. It's just I've never seen him look like this and that is troubling to me so far, it's reminding me of how the Lakers looked after they got Howard and everyone thought they would win titles. They wound up sucking balls, and last night losing to Portland who shot the ball poorly by 19 sucked real bad
Needed a good laugh, so I went back and read about how LeBron isn't "Elite" anymore lol

Still doesn't warrant getting ANOTHER guard.

If they're looking to get brewer, I'd have to assume they'd be looking to move someone in an already crowded backcourt. Harris is picking up more and more minutes, and Delavadova will be coming back soon.
  • Midstate01
I'd like to see more cherry over delly. I love delly but cherry looks like he could actually be a good player. Has a nice looking shot.

    Hopefully it's waiters.

Yeah Lebron seems to have finally found his stride again. Still makes you wonder what he was doing at the beginning of the year

Maybe had something to do with the back issue we've been hearing about? No excuses but I think even he's still trying to get comfortable in his new body with all of the weight he lost.

It only makes complete morons "wonder."

Hard to imagine at the end of the year that LeBron will still only be 30 years old and.....

Have more points than Allen Iverson and Patrick Ewing

    Have more rebounds than Magic

Have more assists than Jerry West

Have more steals than Larry Bird

A ton of guys have gotten off to slow starts around the league, especially veterans. Sometimes it takes them a few weeks or a month to get their rhythms.

And he had another kid, plus all the returning hoopla, was probably exhausted.

Seems to have finally found his stride?

The NBA season is a long haul, there is no reason to panic in November... unless your star player blows a knee and is out for the season.
