2014-2015 Cleveland Cavaliers Season Thread

LOL at all of you who in the summer were clamoring to keep Bennett. That dude is 7pts and 3reb right now...for the Wolves! He's a poor-poor-man's Thompson.
  • Commander of Awesome
Who was clamoring to keep him?
  • Benny The Jet
A lot of people were, a good amount on here after he had like a 15 and 15 summer league game.

I don't recall who....but I seem to remember that talk by a few. But also, I've been wrong before.

I thought it was more like people were clamoring to not give away Wiggins and the fact Bennett was good in summer league was just fuel to that fire (in the "see, we don't need Love if he's progressing like this" fashion).

It was this for the most part. Wiggins is who people cared about.

Yeah count me in the didn't want to trade wiggins camp.

You mean Wiggins right? I would have traded Bennett for Love in some sort of deal that didn't include Wiggins but I thought the trade was stupid to give them both up for Love. Wiggins was the prize, Bennett was some icing.

Not only was nobody clamoring to keep Bennett, but the poor poor man's Thompson comment makes no sense (assuming that was referring to Tristan).

    Per 36:

    TT: 13.3 pts, 10.1 reb, 0.7 asst, 0.8 stl, 1.4 blocks, 48.4% fg, 16.8 PER, .122 WS/48
    AB: 15.7 pts, 7.2 reb, 2.3 asst, 1.3 stl, 1.3 blocks, 52.9% fg, 18.3 PER, .114 WS/48
  • Benny The Jet
Right, I should clarify...people were on here saying no to the deal because Bennett was involved. Because he had 2 good summer league games and had lost some weight. And get outta here if you actually think Bennett is better than Thompson. Bennett may go down as the worst #1 pick ever.

I know you said "may" but guys like Kwame Brown and Michael Olowokandi are probably worse. There were guys before them that went at #1 that were much worse.

Get Waiters off the fucking floor.
  • Ironman92
Cavs won but it's feasible that they go 68-14 and still miss out on the playoffs....

Much much better the last two games.

Yes, been a pleasure to watch. Starts with irving playing defense imo. Also waiters sucks.
  • ernest_t_bass
Irving is a lot of fun to watch.

LOL at your terrible analysis of the issue.

I don't think someone who averages more W/S per 48 is a poor-poor man's version of the player who is averaging less than him.

Tristan may be better, but Bennett is not a poor-poor man's version.

Doesn't specify how the cavs will get someone, but interesting names.

Mayo would be a nice fit. Back in his home state.

Yup, if he keeps putting in that type of effort, he will only keep improving. Reps to Kyrie for taking on the role, hopefully this is part of him growing up.

It drove me nuts when Wall went off on the cavs last game. He only had 6 this game.

    LOL:
Based on history, a lot of top point guards in the league just started drooling.
  • Midstate01
Of that list of guards. I'd prefer foye over any of them. Gives them someone who can score in a hurry off the bench.

Be it the farthest point away, but yes.

He would be a slightly upgraded version of Waiters. A me-first chucker. But at least he can play off the ball a little.
