I heard a snippet from the Boomer & Carton radio show out of NY and Carton was trying to make an argument as to why Lebron was coming to the Knicks to play with Melo this year. You could hear Esiason laughing at him thinking "you fucking idiot....you just gave me my next piece for the "CBS Sports Minute."

It's really bad. No one wants to play with Melo.

$11M a year for Monta Ellis is a steal.

I disagree. He's not worth anything more than that. Good deal for both sides.

Monta is one of those players that seems like he should be getting bigger contracts than he gets.

Because he has a recognizable name, but he's worth what he got paid. I think his contract is fair value.

Obviously, he agrees it's fair as well. Just surprising to me that a 20 ppg scorer is getting a little more than our defensive specialist. If he's happy, though, then good for him.

Not that it is going to matter, but the Lakers have a 2nd meeting with Aldridge today in LA.

Hearing the heat trying to get in on this.
  • wildcats20
Just saw that too. It's beyond ridiculous now.

And the Suns have traded away 3 guys to clear up $20M to try and entice LMA.

    For Aldridge?
  • Azubuike24
Yeah, them and 60% of the other NBA teams...

    Yes.

And the Suns still need to Move the Other Morris and/or PJ Tucker to have enough Room for Aldridge and Chandeler. PJ would be good for the Cavs.

And he has cancelled his meeting with the Knicks for today(they really weren't in play) and will be meeting with Riley later tonight.

Regardless if Heat get Aldridge, Heat have to be favorite for #2 seed in the East (assuming LBJ resigns with Cavs).

I'd take Washington over them right now. I mean if the Heat are 100% healthy and guys play like they did a few years back (and Whiteside isn't a fluke).

I don't get how Miami could be able to sign Aldridge, without giving up something. Not sure why the NBA will continue to bend over for Pat Riley.
  • Azubuike24
They definitely have some expiring money they could move. Deng, Anderson, Chalmers, Haslem...

1 year, $20M for Wade in Miami. Not a surprise at all.
