2014-2015 Random NBA Thread

friendfromlowryAlways wanted to start one of these threads. I'm watching the ESPN season preview now. Ramona Shelburne - woof.
Some huge story lines for this season. Besides the Cavs, what are you eager to see? I want to see how/if the Bulls bounce back with a healthy Rose, and some of the western teams like Portland & Phoenix.
I'll start the thread off on this high note: Boozer celebrates an And-1 basket by flexing while down 20+ to the Jazz. What a tool.

In no particular order:friendfromlowry;1664493 wrote: Besides the Cavs, what are you eager to see?
-Rockets--to see how much losing Parsons really hurts; to see if Harden can improve defensively
-Timberwolves--pretty obvious, Wiggins + Bennett
-Bucks--can they mature and evolve into a dangerous 8 seed? the East is open, can the Bucks step in the door?
I'll edit this post as I think of more things I'm curious to see. -

Commander of AwesomeDraft lotto changes were voted down today. It's helped the Cavs in the past, so I'm glad it didn't get changed. Plus always fun to listen to Simmons QQ when the Boston doesn't get their way. Fuck him.

Azubuike24I wasn't sure he was worth the contract, but Eric Bledsoe looks ever better thus far. I think he will put up a few triple doubles this year, which is pretty crazy for a guy just around 6-foot (probably a bit under).

The Suns have a loaded backcourt with him, Dragic and Thomas.Azubuike24;1666004 wrote:I wasn't sure he was worth the contract, but Eric Bledsoe looks ever better thus far. I expect Morris to take another step forward now that Frye is gone. Very interested to see if/how Len develops. He was in the early #1 draft pick conversations that year.robj55;1666096 wrote:The Suns have a loaded backcourt with him, Dragic and Thomas. -

I don't see Len becoming anything other than a run of the mill big. He might be another Tyler Zeller or Kosta Koufos.Commander of Awesome;1666159 wrote:I expect Morris to take another step forward now that Frye is gone. Very interested to see if/how Len develops. wildcats20Nash is going to miss the entire season with nerve issues in his back.
Glad LA is paying him $9 mil to not do anything but stay injured. -

It will be fun to see who is worse this year: the actively-tanking Sixers or the Lakers, who have a horrible aging cast led by a fading superstar who hasn't been healthy in a couple years and who is probably already preparing his quotes/comments for when it's time to throw people under the bus. Combined with a coach who is treating the three-point shot like it's an unforgivable sin and these guys should be pure "unintentional comedy" entertainment for the next few months.wildcats20;1666170 wrote:Nash is going to miss the entire season with nerve issues in his back.

sleeperKobe ruined the Lakers. He's way overpaid for his actual value on the court and no one wants to play with an old man as their leader who's entirely washed up.

like_thatToo bad failhook doesn't post here any more. Would love to see him defend Kobe and Tebow now.

Unless you're of the mindset of Jeannie Buss, in which case every player in the league who doesn't is just a big loser. Big losers who will all win more games than him this year, but big losers because...sleeper;1666408 wrote:Kobe ruined the Lakers. I mean Tim Duncan makes less than half of what Kobe does and is still extremely valuable on the court. And guess what, its no surprise the Spurs are the favorites year in year out. Kobe took the money instead of focusing on winning which is stupid considering at this point his legacy should be all that matters.Automatik;1666448 wrote:He really did. gport_tennisPlayers should be able to do both. Shouldn't have to sacrifice money to win
