Everything out of Kobe the last few seasons has been the opposite of this.

This. I hate Kobe as much as the next guy, but don't be an idiot about it.

I've seen a lot more supporting it was the front office that screwed up than Kobe.

So kobe didn't actually tell him how they'd play together. Just says, like Pau and I did. I'd assume LMA was looking for actual basketball talk.

Love seeing players turning down the Lakers and Knicks.

From this season. Seems to me he still thinks he's one of the best players in the world.

Kobe on next season: ""It might be. You gotta retire sometime. Im not Benjamin Button, man," Kobe said."

Kobe's starting to get that old man/grizzled veteran IDGAF what I do or say attitude. I actually kinda like it. Comes across as refreshingly funny for him.

Did he really say that in the third person?

Kobe's washed up. Lakers won't get anyone until he retires.

Kings trade Jason Thompson and Carl Landry along with Nik Stauskus to the 76ers, for a TPE.

    lol two more bigs!!
  • Lovejoy1984
In addition to that, the 76ers also got a 1st round pick, and right to swap 1sts in 2 future drafts

All so the Kings could have a shot at signing Rondo, Monta Ellis, and Wes Mathews (whom are being courted by more competitive, less chaotic teams except for Rondo)

Guess that means they aren't high on Ben Mclemore

Cheap trade for Cavs? I'd take that risk for nothing.
  • Azubuike24
Kings basically show it's not impossible to move terrible contracts. You just gotta give up a lot to do it. Nice trade for Philly who essentially just uses cap space they probably were just going to "fill" anyways.

Starting to? He's been heading that direction for the past 3-4 years ha. All that's left is for him to tell reporters to...

Back then, Pau was essentially the #2 to his #1; you could compare it to the Pippen to Jordan dynamic on a lesser level. That was good back then. Being the Gasol to today's Bryant isn't anything for a name player to be excited about, as he'll be 37 and entering his 20th season when the season starts and hasn't played much in a couple years. He's gone from averaging 25-30 on 45% shooting to averaging 22 on 37% shooting (ie: decent, but inefficient, numbers on a bad team).

Add to that minor details such as how the Lakers have gone from an elite team to the sort that is coached by Byron "DON'T SHOOT THOSE THREES!!!!!" Scott (with help from Brown and D'Antoni to get them to this point). Right now, the Lakers can offer SHOWTIME and the LA experience, but very little else.

Greg Monroe max deal with the Bucks. Knicks possibly going all in on Robin Lopez or Enes Kanter...

NY has really fallen into the "all the bright lights and big city shit doesn't mean anything when you're ineptly run" trap.
