Flyers lost 7-0 to Washington. At least the tender did something well, though.

Emery is a douchebag. The Flyers are a disgrace to the NHL.

LoriSchmidt Blue Jackets president John Davidson and Commissioner Gary Bettman announce that Nationwide Arena will play host the 2015 All-Star Game.

Good for the NHL for making it up to Columbus.

What's more of a disgrace is how Bettman refuses to do anything as far as actually disciplining them or other teams for stuff like this. In short...

    1. Fight breaks out.
    2. Emery goes after other goalie, who has no interest in fighting.
    3. Emery still fights and essentially rains punches down on other guy, who is just defending himself.
    4. Disciplinary ruling essentially states that it was a fight that both guys participated in, so nothing needs to happen.

So, essentially, if your team is getting creamed, just start a brawl and attack guys on the other team. Nothing will happen to you because Bettman's a giant *****.

Attended my first NHL game (caps/flyers), saw everything I would want to see in a hockey game. 2 fights, overtime, and a shoot out. Caps were down 4-1 with 8 minutes left and stole the game.

I had no idea in the regular season OT they do 4 v 4. Very entertaining to watch with all that space on the ice. Ovie was sick with that much space.

Hockey does not belong at a baseball stadium, basically only Upper Deck and certain sections can actually see the ice, or at least this was so at Comerica. High temp in Ann Arbor on New Years will be 16, that's going to be brutal

That's perfect weather to play outdoors though.

Ha no upper 20s is, that temp is far too cold, you start to not feel your toes in that

Amazing atmosphere but the snow needs to slow down

I agree, the atmosphere is amazing but the snow is slowing the game down.

Slow ice favors physical teams, hard to pass through snow piles

Team USA was announced and Bobby Ryan was left surprising many but I can see why he was. Slow skater and passive at times.

Lines I would roll in Sochi:

    Pacioretty-Kesler-Kane
    Parise-Stastny-Wheeler
    JVR-Pavelski-Kessel
    Brown-Backes-Oshie
    Callahan (Stepan)

    Suter-Martin
    McDonagh-Carlson
    Orpik-Shattenkirk
    Fowler (Faulk)

    Miller
    Quick
    Howard

Okposo left off too. Kane is the only other American player having a better year so far.

Team USA won't make the medal round. Eh oh Canada go.
