AutomatikI felt it coming when they could have closed it out at home in game 5. They came out flat from the beginning and god rolled in their new building.
A lot are saying Bylsma's job might be safe and taking a greater issue with Shero.
Decent read I just finished...

Unless there was a blockbuster trade I'm not aware of between games 4 and 5, the problem was the coaching, and that the madly skilled 87 is more than a little soft above the shoulders.Automatik;1616167 wrote:I felt it coming when they could have closed it out at home in game 5. thavoiceFucking penguins. Said it awhile back after the CBJ series that they will probably give us a glimmer of hope that they can win it all and then disappear again.
..and after game 4 they did.
Assholes. Some heads need to roll -

Cant say I disagree a whole lot.slingshot4ever;1616049 wrote:Crosby is just as much to blame as anyone else for that collapse. Not an elite player in my opinion. He disappears in the big games these past few years.
I know in the SCP they focus so much on taking away the biggest threat, even more so than the regular season. Even with that though, a truly elite player needs to produce more than what Sid recently. I dont expect the same % of points as the regular season as they are playing good teams, but he has to produce and he didnt. -
TedShecklerI would blame Shero, not Bylsma. Pens aren't deep. That's on the GM.

Hard to build depth with many of those salaries.TedSheckler;1616237 wrote:I would blame Shero, not Bylsma. Pens aren't deep. That's on the GM.
Fact of the matter is, Crosby didnt show up.
Fluery wasnt quite as bad as against CBJ but he still gives up too many soft goals.
Team is too glitz and glam and dont have that edge or toughness. Too many soft players. The style would work great in Olympic hockey but when you get down to the nitty-gritty you gotta have guys who are willing to put in that tough work that no one notices.
too many pre-madonna's on this meady-oakre team. -
TedSheckler
Exactly. And who gave out those contracts? Not Bylsma.thavoice;1616241 wrote:Hard to build depth with many of those salaries.
Team needs broken up for sure. That's on Shero. If he doesn't, he should get canned.thavoice;1616241 wrote:too many pre-madonna's on this meady-oakre team. -
Heretic
I'd put more of the blame on the offense getting one goal per game over the final three games. Fleury was only bad in Game 5. Give up 3 goals (like in 6), you should at least be in the game; give up 2 like in 7 and you should have a good shot at winning. They don't have quality depth behind their main guys, but if you're supposedly a contender instead of a pretender, those main guys have to step up in big games.thavoice;1616241 wrote:Hard to build depth with many of those salaries.

Simply put, they sucked ass on their home ice against the Rangers. On the road, they were 2-1; at home they were 1-3, including two losses in games that would have clinched the series. -

Apparently you don't follow hockey that much then...Classyposter58;1616028 wrote:Haha Kane for Letang. This isn't the Trades That Will Never Happen thread
Evander Kane's trade value is at an all time low right now and Jets fans want him gone. With Byfuglien playing forward again, the Jets #1 Dman is Bogosian or Enstrom. It makes sense on both sides. Or I'd pony up for Eberle as well.
To the dude that said Crosby isn't a elite forward. Are you fucking high? He's the best player on the planet not named Malkin. -
Laley23Boston out.

Their lack of depth doesn't explain a complete choke job from a 3-1 lead.TedSheckler;1616237 wrote:I would blame Shero, not Bylsma. Pens aren't deep. That's on the GM. -

Right up to the point where you get into his head, or he gets into his own head. He's the best player in the world from the neck down.End of Line;1616252 wrote:

Raw Dawgin' itI heard Boston hit 13 posts this series. Marchand and Krejci not scoring really hurt them. Also, Rask does not play well against Montreal. Brutal last 2 games.
GO WEST COAST! -

Not sure if you are talking about me, but I contend he didnt play like an elite player in the playoffs.End of Line;1616252 wrote:Apparently you don't follow hockey that much then...

Her is referring to me. I said it. He has his opinion I have mine. Give me Kane/Toews over Malkin/Crosby every day of the week. And you can't honestly think Malkin is the 2nd best player in the world....thavoice;1616462 wrote:Not sure if you are talking about me, but I contend he didnt play like an elite player in the playoffs. -
Classyposter58Lucic proved in that handshake line why he's the biggest douche in the league. Also no way does Kane get traded for Letang only
-
Raw Dawgin' it
lol cause he mouthed off to a couple of players he hates on the bruins biggest rival? Shut up. You're just bitter. Detroit limped into the playoffs in the eastern conference, just think of shitty they would've done in the west. Them being in the playoffs was a gift. And when they got to the playoffs, they got the snot kicked out of them because detroit is weak.Classyposter58;1616809 wrote:Lucic proved in that handshake line why he's the biggest douche in the league. Yeah shut up and shake hands instead of being a douchefuck. Ha I'm not bitter, we weren't the better team and are very young, it was a good learning experience for them. Plus we've won 4 cups in my lifetime while the Bruins haven't even been to that many cupsRaw Dawgin' it;1616859 wrote:lol cause he mouthed off to a couple of players he hates on the bruins biggest rival?
