  Curious survey question for Steeler fans....if Pittsburgh were to trade Polamalu, taking into account his age, injury history, etc. what do you think they would net in return as far as a draft pick?

  but who would want him..especially for 10 mill. most likely they would just wait for us to cut hiim honestly...besides the injuries teams have been taking advantage of his gambling style the last couple years especially in key situations.
  i would say this is the last hoorah for tp in pitt. i look for us to draft 1 or 2 safeties.

  I was just checking to see if Steeler fans were truly as delusional as I thought they were. Gblock is in line though. This other guy seems to think Troy should net a 2nd, no lower than a 3rd. I'd be hard pressed to give a 4th since, as I've mentioned before, he spends more time on TV in shampoo commercials than on the field making plays.

  Awww....someones feelz hurt? It was a homer Steeler fan who said it, btw. As an FYI, Polamalu is pretty much done. Sorry to break it to you but keep on hanging on to old garbage who can't stay on the field....just like Harrison, just like Hampton (although he wasn't a china doll like Troy & Harrison), etc, etc...

  I can take it though. I trust Pittsburgh's management in regards to keeping and letting go of personnel. I doubt you can say the same for your squad's front office.

  Actually having teams that win with regularity does lead to fans being delusional from time to time. Maybe one day, you'll find that out in Cleveland-ville. One day...
  
  Oh wait...Durkie does pick playoffs for the Browns on a yearly basis, so you do have one delusional guy, at least.

  One thing to keep in mind with a player like TP is the amount of money having him on the team brings in. His jersey sales alone have to be one of the tops on the team. Be hard for a frugal franchise like the steelers have proven to be to give that cash cow up.
  
  Also somethign to be said for team legends finishing their career with said organization, like Ward. Ward meant more to the steelers than he would have on any other team even in the twilight of his career. Anyone remember Emmit Smith on the Cardinals?

  He also just seems like a player that wouldn't bother to start up in a new city, new team, etc. He seems very grounded, an odd ball compared to the majority of players these days. If/when it comes to part ways, I can see him flat out retiring like Hines. I highly doubt he would go anywhere else.

  I want Polamalu to play for the Steelers as long as he plays football. Whatever he has left I want everyone of those plays. I don't give two shits about a 2nd-4th round pick for him. I want Troy playing as much as he can as long as he can. We don't win 2 SB without him. GM wise....just don't care. Polamalu is one if my all-time favorite players on my favorite team. I don't want him gone for anyone or any pick.
