Nope, Yorkville OHIO. Thanks.Automatik;1377577 wrote:Technically I did. WV is right across the river and about a 6 mile drive.. It's all about proximity. Invisible state borders mean nothing. -

You're welcome? I see you've kept my hometown in your records. :laugh:Commander of Awesome;1377580 wrote:Nope, Yorkville OHIO. Thanks. -

There's a much "classier" gambling joint on Wheeling Island.BR1986FB;1377550 wrote:Just giving you the business. We go down to Mountaineer (45 minute drive) all of the time. In fact, we'll be there tonight. -

Been there. It sucks. Two hour drive and the slots are tighter than Hell (there's a joke in there).Automatik;1377583 wrote:There's a much "classier" gambling joint on Wheeling Island. -

Thanks for creeping, really. I actually forgot to thank you a while back. My privacy settings were wayyyy too lax at that time.Commander of Awesome;1377584 wrote:Facebook buddy, not hard. -

Yeah, Wheeling Island is awful. I still find myself there occasionally when I'm home visiting. We used to love betting on the dog races bag in the day.BR1986FB;1377587 wrote:Been there. It sucks. Two hour drive and the slots are tighter than Hell (there's a joke in there).
I hear Columbus' new place is pretty nice, but shitty location. I've yet to check it out. -

We want to hit Columbus but it's 3 hours away. My girlfriend keeps bugging me about going to the Meadows over in a suburb of Pittsburgh but I could see jail time for myself heading into enemy territory. Mountaineer's bad enough with all of the black & yellow.Automatik;1377605 wrote:Yeah, Wheeling Island is awful. I still find myself there occasionally when I'm home visiting. ...because it was used in the post I responed to. It was that poster's word to describe the supporting a particular team....not mine.SportsAndLady;1377572 wrote:Why do you have 'roots' in quotations? -

The Meadows is nothing great, the best thing about that area are the Tanger outlets.BR1986FB;1377611 wrote:We want to hit Columbus but it's 3 hours away. I believe they have tables at the Meadows now though, not 100%....haven't been there in a while. -

We've heard the machines are looser. Can't go to the Rivers because that's right next to Ketchup Field. I'd probably end up in prison if I took that trip. I'm a bit of an asshole around Steeler fans that I don't know. :laugh:Automatik;1377617 wrote:The Meadows is nothing great, the best thing about that area are the Tanger outlets.

For sure. I like the Browns, Wolverines, Heat, and Reds. Yep, I picked my teams because they are winners! LolHb31187;1377345 wrote:Yes it is. But theres a fine line between bandwagon and simply liking a team not from your region. I dont think anyone would accuse a fan from Ohio who likes the Sacramento Kings to be a bandwagon fan -

There's the point. You don't get to pick. Show some pride in where you're from, family history, and state. Picking a team = bandwagon regardless of the reasons. Every bandwagoner has a story though for why they got to pick/choose and its ok.GoChiefs;1377635 wrote:For sure. I like the Browns, Wolverines, Heat, and Reds. AutomatikI agree, I didn't even have a choice.
I did "pick" Arsenal though, but fuck it. Anything is better than United. They, IMO, are the biggest "bandwagoned" team in all of sports. -

Isn't there a casino in Cleveland?BR1986FB;1377624 wrote:We've heard the machines are looser. Can't go to the Rivers because that's right next to Ketchup Field. I'd probably end up in prison if I took that trip. I'm a bit of an asshole around Steeler fans that I don't know. -

You can pick, but you'll always be looked at as a bandwagoner with weak loyalties IMO. Second class fan.Hb31187;1377656 wrote:LOL so you dont get to pick who you're a fan of now. -

Yeah. We hope to hit that in February but I've heard horror stories about security issues. Guy told us his wife was on a machine, had to go to the bathroom so she told her friend to play it while she was gone, lady hit for $10k and some lady three rows of machines behind her saw it, ran over and tried to pull out her hair screaming "you're not getting out of here alive with that money." Have heard a few other stories too.SportsAndLady;1377650 wrote:Isn't there a casino in Cleveland?
We're also waiting for Thistledown & Northfield (new Hard Rock) to get their machines in. They are opening a Casino in Austintown (closest to me) in 2014.
Sorry to derail the thread with my gambling "issues." Back to bandwagoning.... -

It's not stupid by the way. You root against the US in the Olympics? -
like_thatOh look, gochiefs chiming in another topic that he cares about (and his butthurt), but he will say how he doesn't give a fuck what you think. I haven't seen this before.

Sorry I am a loyal fan didn't mean to hurt your feelings. You can root for who you want to, but I don't consider you a real fan. If that hurts your little feelz, idgaf. thanksHb31187;1377669 wrote:Lmao you are truly something else. I cant tell if its an act, or if this is actually how you think -

And there's #2 coming in for the backup with the "you disagree, so you're butthurt"! I haven't seen this before! No, I don't care what you think. Why the hell would I give a rat's ass about what someone I never have, nor ever will, meet on an anonymous message board thinks? Lolfail. Oh gosh, now I'm butthurt because you think I care what you think! Right? Glad you can discuss the topic.like_that;1377697 wrote:Oh look, gochiefs chiming in another topic that he cares about (and his butthurt), but he will say how he doesn't give a fuck what you think.
