This might be THE best EVER.derek bomar;1379374 wrote:1) you won't go to Browns games
2) you'd rather play slots than watch Browns games
3) you seem to know a ton about the team, which implies you care, but #1 and #2 imply you don't... which leads to ...
4) You're a big freaking troll.
1) I've explained, on many occasions, why I don't go. Only the OC "mob rules mentality" has an issue with it.
2) Money is more important to me than sports. Big deal. I still watch the games. PLEASE point out where I've said I'm not a Browns fan.
3) Yes, I know a lot about the team and the game. I've coached the game and I've watched the Browns for more than 35 years, studying them in & out....so what?
4) SMH...this is the best. A "troll" is Capone or someone who repeatedly thread shits like...his name rhymes with "gordo." -

You are getting off topic from the off topic, please get back on topic by getting off topic.
Didn't say it was incorrect, just saying you are being a drama queen. I don't go to Steelers threads, because the Steelers can go fuck themselves, but who other than rock (his blow up from a couple years ago) and non (good fucking riddance) have left??
No one posts on them....gotta go elsewhere. I don't know where they went or why they don't post....but Steelers threads are a waste on here....as are Reds. It's just different than it used to be, that happens. So I just post everywhere I have a care or clue. Bengals threads are a waste as well...the reasons are probably many. -

LOL bengals threads have always been a waste. Can't really explain why the Steelers threads have had no action this year. Maybe because they were below average? All I know is I hardly ever if at all post in Steelers threads (unless it's browns/steelers). So, I am not going to take any blame for the lack of Steelers posts.Ironman92;1379453 wrote:No one posts on them....gotta go elsewhere. As for the Reds, no idea why that has died out. I never post there either. I was always under the impression those threads get a lot of hits. -

Would not have guessed that. Always thought of the Cavs as the third most popular in the area.Pick6;1379445 wrote:Thought this was interesting: "More popular than football team in same market": Cavaliers -

That's a bunch of BS imo. Cleveland is Browns town. If all 3 teams were making a title run, the Browns would get the most attention.Sonofanump;1379459 wrote:Would not have guessed that. Always thought of the Cavs as the third most popular in the area. -
BR1986FBIn all seriousness, I think the main reason for the lack of posts on the Steelers thread is the lack of "Non." I think he probably had 80% of the posts on that thread. His brainfart "if your team wins more your fanbase has more knowledge" was his downfall. The dude did actually post some legit stuff until he showed his true colors.

Are you kidding? Cavs were playing for the NBA Championship and the talk around town was STILL Browns free agency. You're seriously underestimating how popular the Browns "power" is. Cavs are the red headed stepchild at a distant third.like_that;1379462 wrote:That's a bunch of BS imo. Cleveland is Browns town. I am not a fan of any team then. I am a fan of certain sports.Con_Alma;1379384 wrote:Fan = short for fanatic

You are just elaborating on what I said right, because I am 100% agreeing with you lol.BR1986FB;1379474 wrote:Are you kidding? He has been gone for a bit. The threads were fine the previous years....but maybe him getting torn up was a downfall in slow progression? Why the loss of Reds/Bengals threads. -
BR1986FBYes & yes. I was just agreeing with you to the nTH power. The Browns popularity is off the charts compared to other sports teams in town. Had they (Browns) been around in the mid/late 90's, even with their "super" teams, the Tribe would've played second fiddle to the Browns. Basketball...SMH

Pick6data doesnt lie. Figured that would get a few people riled up.

BR1986FB
I thought the Reds threads did fine. You guys just do it differently (game by game) than the Tribe threads (series threads.) You probably aren't going to have as many posts on a game thread as a series thread. The Bengals? Don't ask. Mikey Brown may have beaten their fans faith into submission.Ironman92;1379484 wrote:He has been gone for a bit. SonofanumpIMO, Cavs might be fourth most popular team in the metro area behind Browns, OSU football, & Tribe.

BR1986FB
I agree. Maybe even behind the Lingerie Football League team. They're lucky the Force no longer exists. :laugh:Sonofanump;1379492 wrote:IMO, Cavs might be fourth most popular team in the metro area behind Browns, OSU football, & Tribe. -

Data based on how many "likes" a Facebook page has is accurate? You're joking right? I'm a Browns, but don't have their page "liked" on my Facebook. -

sorry, to elaborate more, it would appear that the Cavaliers are the more popular franchise in Cleveland to younger generations.GoChiefs;1379497 wrote:Data based on how many "likes" a Facebook page has is accurate? Probably because when those people hit the "like" button for the cavs, it was when the Cavs were pretty damn good. The amount of "likes" does not measure the amount of passion for a specific team. Go in Cleveland and ask fans to rank their Cleveland teams if all teams were competing for a title. I am willing to bet 9 out of 10 will choose the Browns as #1. IMO it would probably average out as #1 Browns, #2 Tribe, #3 Cavs.Pick6;1379500 wrote:sorry, to elaborate more, it would appear that the Cavaliers are the more popular franchise in Cleveland to younger generations. -

Now this would make sense (Lebron era). Browns probably lost a generation of fans when the Browns moved. Too many NE Ohio kids latched onto Pittsburgh. That will change once the Browns start winning. They'll be back.Pick6;1379500 wrote:sorry, to elaborate more, it would appear that the Cavaliers are the more popular franchise in Cleveland to younger generations. -

You'll have a few "baseball only" or "basketball only" guys but, for the most part, it would be Browns...by A LOT. -
Commander of AwesomeIt would be Browns by a mile. Cleveland is football territory.
