2013 MLB Random Chatter

Lol. That what happens when I use voice texting and no proof read.

I'm happy reds are one of the top 5-7 teams in the mlb.

I'm pissed that we are 3rd and behind the cardinals.

The fact that we are top 5ish in the whole mlb and 3rd in the division is weird.

Happy they are good. Pissed they are 3rd in division. Confused as to how that is even possible lol.

    Punctuation sucked though.

Brandon Belt went 0-8 with 5 strikeouts and left 5 runners on base in the Giants 16 inning loss to the Mets.

Verlander might be done man. His control is terrible anymore, and to offset that he is spotting his pitches as opposed to throwing them. He's got less movement and less velocity on everything, not good

    Leyland.

Hopefully he doesn't ruin Scherzer also. 110+ pitches is ok once in awhile. Not 9/10 starts...

He is not pitching for the tribe, so idgaf if he ruins Scherzer.

The Tigers don't even need Verlander. That sick ass lineup will be scoring 24 runs per game when it comes playoff time.

I expect the Tigers to win the WS in three.

    Uh hello. That's not possible.

everybody knows that nobody has the balls to play them. they win in 1

I don't think that's it really. He's got control issues, he still throws his pitches just as fast at pitch 1 as he does at pitch 120

I'd read earlier in the year that he (along with other guys) who'd been known for their fastball speed and movement had been seeing a notable decline in their average fastball speed, making it where to remain relevant in the "elite pitcher" conversation, they've had to pretty much reinvent themselves as a location/control guy. Sabathia is also in that boat.

And the results just seem inconsistent with those guys. They have good starts and bad starts and probably just as bad, they aren't as capable of eating major innings and going 8-9 innings most times out because they have to nibble a lot more.

Which makes King Felix that much more likey to be the best in the game. His velocity is down around 90-91 and he still gets it done.

I do feel like Verlander doesn't throw his hardest anymore. He seems too focused on throwing 110+ pitches that he kinda lays em in there early and then picks it up as the game progresses. I doubt he can still hit 100 but I'd be shocked if he couldn't regularly throw 97-98

Giants reliever Chad Gaudin charged with lewdness after inappropriately touching a woman on a gurney.

    What the fuck?

I was talking about this swing on the Tribe thread. But Rajai Davis mightve taken the worst swing I have seen in years. Even Valddy is facepalming at it (though he probably hits a line drive single).

Not even the greatest in his own lineup. Detroit's SICk lineup.

Lol....Bryce Harper gets rung up on an 0-2 pitch that was borderline but catcher framed it a few inches and Hunter Wendlestedt called him out and Harper immediately exploded on him....quick toss lol

....but I kinda like his fire

Jacoby Ellsbury with the play of the day somehow getting a ball in the gap off of Cespedes.
