Absolutely, but he wouldn't choose to come to a young Cleveland team. If he leaves the booth he'll go to an instant contender: San Diego or Chicago types.like_that;1361301 wrote:Gruden is def happy with his job now, but if he really had the itch to coach he could get a job. The ESPN job isn't going anywhere. He can always take that job when he is done coaching. -

Grossi def sucks, but you didn't say anything that I havent already read on OBR 2 weeks ago.CLEconomically Speaking;1361423 wrote:It's about time someone did their own research instead of rehashing Tony Grossi's sorry excuse for journalism. -

Ohio guy, born and raiser. He was close last time with Holmgren before we hired patty boy. To just dismiss him coming without any thing of substance behind it is nothing but speculation.CLEconomically Speaking;1361429 wrote:Absolutely, but he wouldn't choose to come to a young Cleveland team. Chip Kelly was "close" this year. And talking about Cleveland's next coach is all speculative until Haslam or Banner tip their hands. Is your speculation more accurate than mine?Commander of Awesome;1361438 wrote:Ohio guy, born and raiser. He was close last time with Holmgren before we hired patty boy. Gruden talk back before shurmur was legit. He even had a convo with Holmgren and said if Holmgren really needed him or something to that effect he would do it. Hoilmgren decided his heart wasn't in it.CLEconomically Speaking;1361447 wrote:Chip Kelly was "close" this year. I understand what you're trying to say, but you're showcasing it as fact, when in fact its your opinion. Very LJish. -

I honestly don't find San Diego's roster to be that impressive. -

wes_mantoothGood...never understood why he didn't want to coach before...since it is a short commute from his house in Strongsville.

I would be shaking if I had to ask that question to Cowher. He dismissed the idea the game has changed too much since he left.
"I did it for 27 years," he said. "You don't just forget things overnight."
Bring him to Cleveland!! -

Joe Gibbs was out of the NFL for 12 years and he managed to make the skins a playoff team. I think Cowher could manage...SportsAndLady;1361543 wrote:I would be shaking if I had to ask that question to Cowher.

shook_17It would be simply amazing to have Bill Cowher on our sideline. So therefore it won't happen.

The Browns should be spenders this year. Mike Wallace in the slot. God damn.
EDIT:
or Cromartie opposite of Haden. Haslam and our new coach, whoever you are spend some money! -

I bet Wallace would like to get paid in Cleveland so he could torch the Steelers. I could see that being a motivating factor.shook_17;1361587 wrote:http://espn.go.com/blog/afcnorth/post/_/id/63044/afc-north-2013-salary-cap-update

That would certainly buy the browns an extra year with weeden. It'd be pretty hard to look like a bad QB behind that line with run support from Richardson and deep threats like Wallace and Gordon on the outside.
Greg Little in the slot would create interesting matchups. -

If he learns to catch that is.. otherwise there's always Dancing With the Stars.CLEconomically Speaking;1361606 wrote: Greg Little in the slot would create interesting matchups. -
thavoiceCowher said he wants to return.....
Just like I said before......Former steelers minority owner owns the browns, hires Cowher..a former brown player to boot, and they bring in Whiz to run the offense and one of the steeler former defensive coaches to run the 3-4 defense and BAM..you have the Steelers reincarnated in Cleveland.
and then the wins start pouring in. -

In his defense with the emergence of Josh Gordon he has quit dropping passes the second half of the season. -
CLEconomically SpeakingEven Tony Grossi says Cowher won't come to Cleveland.

Don't get me wrong, I love Little's potential. But until he gains some consistancy he's an easy target for jokes. Braylon Edwards hands with T.O. celebrations doesn't really work in this league. But I'm sure Tiki would love to have him on his flag football team..shook_17;1361632 wrote:In his defense with the emergence of Josh Gordon he has quit dropping passes the second half of the season. -
Commander of AwesomeLittle really improved over the last 8 games IMO. And I was killing him early in the season.
