Another good article from about 2 months ago on the fundamentals of Chip Kelly's offense. Really hoping he's the next Browns coach.

Time will undoubtedly tell whether Kelly's offense can work in the NFL, but my vote is that it will. It would require Kelly finding the right players, but a Chip Kelly–coached NFL team would win for the same reasons that the Chip Kelly–coached college team wins. Behind the speed, the spread, the Daft Punk helmets, and the flashy uniforms, Oregon ultimately wins with old-fashioned, fundamental, run-it-up-the-gut football. I think everyone, even fans of the spread offense, can appreciate that.

Not sold on Weedon. I think they should investigate nabbing Curt Couzins.

In the draft, I would focus in on getting another shutdown corner. Joe Hadin could use a bookend....aka Hanferd and Minnofield.

Silly footwedge, I see what you did there. To answer your question I'm concerned about t rich, but if he comes into the season 100% healthy unlike this season, then I expect a big year out of him. Especially with a coach who understands how to use his talent.

My other concern with Kelly is will they just neglect the defense? Lots of defensive talent this draft that I would hate to pass up on.

True. I just don't think there is good enough offensive players to take at #6 even if Kelly takes over. Only person I could think is the guard from Alabama and that's even a major stretch. WalterFootball's latest mock yesterday had us taking Te'o at 6. I like the sound of that.

I sure as fuck dont. I dont ever like taking LBers in the top 10, they don't make enough plays. Look at Raiders, they took the LBer McClain from Alabama who was a superior prospect to Te'o. Looking like a shitty pick now.

Hard to take any mock draft serious until they hire a HC

I don't think the guard from Alabama (warmack) is that much of a stretch. If the Browns trade down a few spots somehow, they could still get him, and get their 2nd back. Warmack is considered by some one of the best guard prospects to come out in awhile. I wouldn't shed a tear if the Browns got Warmack.

Honestly id trade up and snag Geno Smith. He could run Kelly's offense to a T.

    Yes please on Geno Smith
  • shook_17
^^^ lol please. Did you watch his bowl game?

You don't base your analysis on one game.

That being said, I'm not a fan of Geno Smith either. But I think S&L is just in the anybody but Weeden camp.

I did, while he didn't play amazing, he wasn't terrible.

The WVU defense, like all season, was pathetic. The conditions were also shit.

What about Luke Kuechly? He was a great pick for Carolina at #9 last year. Whether he was their biggest need on defense is debateable but he had a great rookie season; is a leader and has a head on his shoulders. McClain is a dumbass. I see Te'o as a safe/solid pick more like Kuechly than McClain but that's just my opinion.

Wat exactly is wrong with 16/24 197 yards 2 tds and 0 ints?
  • shook_17
^^ his two safeties because he has no pocket awarness? stats lie.

yet you want to draft a qb in the first round for the next 5 years. lol. your hate for weeden is simply amazing. you would rather be right and watch the browns lose.

Not a value pick IMO. Didn't help the Panthers make the playoffs. ILB just don't have the impact on the game to warrant a top 10 pick.

Also we have DQ, not worth the pick. Also don't think Te'o is near the prospect that Luke Kuechly is/was.
