Then who is the answer? If that journalist is so fucking smart, who is the answer*
  • IggyPride00
Wow, that journalist has been reading my posts on the OC about Shurmur and Childress it seems.

Maybe the Browns could be able to get Adams with their late 1st or early 2nd pick...Good to see that he is impressing. I really liked Ingram too, I think he will be a stud. I dont know much about Couples but heard that people are waiting for him to be a bust bc he has had one good season. But with his size and speed that scouts are seeing, maybe he could be an option?

Browns | Brad Childress agrees to become OC

Great hire. Shurmur is surrounded by proven, experienced coaches. No, Childress isn't a head coach, but he helped run a great offense in Philly. Even the Vikings' offense was good when they had a quarterback (Favre).

    Agree

The successful first time head coaches always seem to be surrounded by ex head coaches.

Definitely a good hire. I thought he did a great job in Philly. If the Browns can find a QB...they should be in business.

Andy Reid was the brains behind that operation, not Chilly. He wasn't even allowed to call plays as the O-Coordinator.

Favre is notorious for calling Chilly "clueless" and the locker room agreed with him which was why he was hated the way he was.

Childress is a step up over Shurmur, but if I saw the stat correctly has only actually called his own plays once in his NFL career. Not like he has a great track record to pull from in that department and it is what the Browns so desperately need.

I am OK with him, but he sure as hell better bring a better attitude than the one he had in Minnesota or his stay won't be long here.

Or he could have been in over his head at minny? I like the hire I would have like Sherman more but I'm ok with Childress

TO told Childress to stop talking to him in Philadelphia, but that's probably more because he's TO than because Childress is a distant asshole as a coach.

And like I mentioned and the ESPN blog linked mentions, Andy Reid called the plays in Philly. Wouldn't be surprised at all if Shurmer is still running the offensive show for the Browns.

If they sign Flynn there's no fight. It's going to take a big financial commitment, and you don't do that to bring a guy in for a QB competition.

I've seen that a lot of people think Ingram is more of a 3-4 OLB than a 4-3 DE. And Coples apparently looks like a really solid run stopping DE, but might not be the greatest pass rusher. I don't know how that fits in with the Browns. The run D was terrible, but we only have 1 guy that can get to the QB too.

Not sure is I posted about the interview Coples had on 92.3 yesterday but he said he's very comfortable at LDE and not so much at RDE. The Browns need a RDE. Sheard had to switch to LDE because he wasn't comfortable on the right side.

why are you even a browns fan? You seem to hate everything they do and are negative about it.

Not overly excited about the hire. But I'm willing to see how it goes. Maybe he learned a thing or two from his past experiences.

Well....air let out of my sails. Childress is the OC but Shurmur is still calling the plays. :(

That's not a surprising development at all. And it certainly explains why he was the choice.

How are they going to find her? They all look the same...
