Been pretty solid since Heckert has been drafting.

He's filled a lot of "non sexy" positions.

Needs to find this team's QB, stud WR, and RB.

Browns should take RG3 with the first pick, then two versatile right-sided offensive linemen with the next 2 picks. Then we need to take waivers on playmakers who have fallen in the draft. Could use another edge rusher, LB youth, another corner and a covering safety.

I agree with that part. I'd love to take a flier on Cliff Harris in the 5th round or so (even though he's a defender and not an offensive playmaker). He received a 1st round grade after last season and is a dynamic kick returner. Had some legal trouble... he apparently likes to drive fast and smoke weed, nothing incredibly major, and never got back into the coaches good graces or on the field, really.

I think you take RGIII if he's there, but I don't want to move up to get him. If someone else trades up to take him, I'd like to move back a few spots and add a 2nd rounder.

    True that.

    http://blogs.sun-sentinel.com/sports_seasonticket/2012/01/aaron-rodgers-calls-matt-flynn-to-the-miami-dolphins-a-strong-possibility.html

No surprise, but Aaron Rodgers thinks Miami and Seattle are the top 2 options for Matt Flynn. Would remove 1 obstacle from the RGIII second chance sweepstakes.

Then if Peyton signed with Washington, I think the Browns would be in pretty good shape to have RGIII fall to them at 4.

With Philbin becoming the HC in Miami, it's safe to speculate that there's a better than average chance of Flynn reuniting with his former OC.

If Washington can get Manning, the Browns should be able to get RG3 at #4. Who else might trade up ahead of them?

    Here's a question...

RG3 or Peyton Manning... who would you rather have?

I'm very excited about Free Agency and the NFL Draft. Hopefully they do fill some needs in Free Agency...

What FAs are out there, that could help out?

Garcon is the guy I want in FA. Also I'd much rather have RG3.

I should say I'm shocked, but considering the source I'm not, with the unbelievable support/outrage by Kiley & Booms (92.3) and their listeners over the firing of Tony Grossi from the PD. If you surveyed most Cleveland fans they'd say Grossi and MKC are either trouble making hacks or give very little useful info.

Didn't Grossi just get reassigned, not fired?

Booms was saying he spoke with Grossi last night and Grossi told him (Booms) that he was "done" at the PD.

I wonder if Grossi just decided to leave after being reassigned? Everything I read on Twitter last night said he was just being taken off the Browns beat.

    I heard fired as well.

By the time this is over he's probably going to be covering Southern Ohio 5th grade girls basketball games with a former Ohio Chatter poster. :D

    That's been established...

I mean, besides Garcon. You can't really sign just one WR, and expect them to set the world on fire. Even the '07 Patriots added more than just Randy Moss. They also added Welker and Stallworth. I'm probably gonna get crap for it, but I think Garcon is comparable to Stallworth, but not as fast.

I'm not saying that they shouldn't go after Garcon, because I do think he can help... but if he's the only guy that they get, we'll probably be having this same conversation again next year.

DE, OLB, CB, OL, WR, and/or RB, are all positions that they can upgrade or add depth too.

Who else will be on the market?
  • Commander of Awesome
I disagree with you on Garcon /Stallworthless comparison.

They can upgrade and add depth to any and every position. Christ if you're going to be so damn generic. Also go back and look or do some research through google on who's available. I don't have time to type every FA out for your convenience.

Plenty of RBs if Hillis doesn't return.

This is a different tune than your usual QQing about not resigning him.
