like_thatHave you guys voted for the pro bowl yet? I voted a couple times for Phil and JT. Phil deserves to be a pro bowler once in his career. Do your job guys!

I think Jay is a better coach than John.shook_17;1330999 wrote:http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/11/28/report-gruden-to-get-browns-ownership-stake-in-offer-to-coach-vols/

I'm not really infatuated with John Gruden either. I don't think it will be a "name" coach.Sonofanump;1331046 wrote:I think Jay is a better coach than John.
And that's not happening (Gruden to TENN/gets a piece of the Browns). Why would Haslam offer Gruden a piece and not Banner, potentially pissing him off? -

I agree. I think we probably hire whoever the OC of the Cardinals is.BR1986FB;1331047 wrote:I'm not really infatuated with John Gruden either. I don't think it will be a "name" coach.

like_thatThis question I propose most likely will be a shit storm, but hey this thread has survived 518 pages, I think we can handle another potential shit storm!
Anyway, I am looking at Mel Kiper's big board. I just skimmed it mostly, but I noticed it was heavy on defense. There might have been 6 offensive players listed. What stood out to me (not surprising though) was Geno and Barklay rated at the bottom of the list.
If the Browns were to trade down, and get their 2nd pick back, would you draft Barklay or Geno if they dropped to the 2nd round? -

NO....defense, defense, and more defenselike_that;1331498 wrote:This question I propose most likely will be a shit storm, but hey this thread has survived 518 pages, I think we can handle another potential shit storm!

And a guard -

No, but only because I think there can be a guy in round 3 or 4 with developmental value equal to one of those two. I know I hate Weeden, but for the sake of continuity I don't want to draft someone to challenge him right away (unless of course they prove themselves over the summer/training camp).like_that;1331498 wrote:

Looking at that, I like Bray if he drops. I'm also thoroughly impressed with Dysert, and we know the pedigree of MAC QB's in the NFL. Looking towards rounds 5 or 6 I also like Sean Renfree out of Duke. -

Average starting field position?

I wonder with all the hype that those two have, why would they slip to the second round if they have the skills to play in the NFL. Not sure about this up coming NFL class.like_that;1331498 wrote: What stood out to me (not surprising though) was Geno and Barklay rated at the bottom of the list.

Depends who we take with the first pick and who else is available. I 100% want them to trade down though.like_that;1331498 wrote:If the Browns were to trade down, and get their 2nd pick back, would you draft Barklay or Geno if they dropped to the 2nd round? -

Commander of AwesomeMcClain and Curry released from the Raiders. I'd like the Browns to take a flyer on McClain.
I loved Curry coming out, man was I wrong on him. -
shook_17id definitely take a flier on McClian. Loved the dude coming out of college.
-
BR1986FBMcClain is a stiff. Raiders fans have been bitching about his play the last few seasons. Wasn't worth where he was picked...plus he's a headcase.

You gonna move DQ Jackson, who is a better MLB, out of position to make room for him? I'd do that for a stud like the Te'o kid from Notre Dame but not for McClain.Enforcer;1332999 wrote:If We can get Him cheap I say give it a shot -
like_thatHaslam seems to be optimistic. Also there is a short trailer for that Browns show that will be premiering next tuesday.
