The Weeden nuthuggers/McCoy haters are the ones who keep bringing it up.BR1986FB;1308280 wrote:Yeah, the McCoy subject needs to stop. Unless Weeden gets hurt or his arm falls off, #12 isn't seeing the field. -
shook_17anybody think billy winn can play DE now that taylor is coming back? he has easily been our most explosive defensive linemen.

I don't think so. He doesn't have the body and speed for it imo. There is nothing wrong with having a rotation of 4 fresh DTs.shook_17;1308338 wrote:anybody think billy winn can play DE now that taylor is coming back? he has easily been our most explosive defensive linemen. -

yeah im not saying there is a problem with it. but i figured since he played there at boise state. he could slide out there for a bit. but i want whats best. -

Agreed 4 pretty damn good dt too. -
Pick6Winn is definately the better of the two rookie DTs.

Agreed but Hughes has played very well the last 2 weeks. I actually love our 4 man dt rotation we have once Taylor is back -
Dr. KnOiTaLL
Agreed. That rotation may, in fact, improve our pass rush simply by keeping fresh players on the field. Additionally, they are all young guys that can push and learn from each other. I like the depth once we throw Taylor into the mix. Now we just need to get Sheard going.Crimson streak;1308361 wrote:Agreed but Hughes has played very well the last 2 weeks. Well it's a dead issue so no need to bring it up. McCoy is not an NFL starting QB.Pick6;1308312 wrote:The Weeden nuthuggers/McCoy haters are the ones who keep bringing it up. -
BR1986FBOff Day Tuesday Ten...

10a. Finally, who loves this quote from Weeden on his headset giving out?
“Yeah, I couldn’t hear anything…I called one play on my own in the huddle and I was just waiting to get chewed out by Pat. . . . It worked. I should call plays all the time.”
This guy. -
BR1986FBCribbs bitching to the media AGAIN about playing time and wanting more looks with the offense. Love the guys' loyalty to the city but I'm counting off the days until he's gone.

Dr. KnOiTaLLLooks like the Browns have settled on a new starting fullback. Wait for it..... TE Alex Smith has surpassed Marecic on the depth chart. Later, Owen Pieceash**.

Smith did a nice job unlike Marecic. Plus he can periodically catch when the ball's thrown to him. Proof was in the (Richardson) numbers.Dr. KnOiTaLL;1308908 wrote:Looks like the Browns have settled on a new starting fullback. Wait for it..... I agree, and I'm pretty sure Smith played there last year when Marecic was hurt. I'm good with the move. Let the guy rot on the "healthy scratch" list. Maybe he'll get his crap together then.BR1986FB;1308913 wrote:Smith did a nice job unlike Marecic. Plus he can periodically catch when the ball's thrown to him. Ummm, yeah...dumbass Shurmur handed Smith the ball down by the goal line in one of Pat's bigger brainfarts of 2011.Dr. KnOiTaLL;1308915 wrote:I agree, and I'm pretty sure Smith played there last year when Marecic was hurt. -

Ah yes... sorry, I had tried to block that from my memory. Thanks for reminding me...BR1986FB;1308919 wrote:Ummm, yeah...dumbass Shurmur handed Smith the ball down by the goal line in one of Pat's bigger brainfarts of 2011. -

Generally the more effective the tackles, the easier it is for outside guys to generate pressure. Hopefully that's the case with Sheard now that we're getting some good inside playDr. KnOiTaLL;1308519 wrote:Now we just need to get Sheard going. -
BR1986FBFucking fuck fuck mother fuck grab your ankles for Ozzie like a little prison bitch Phil Savage mother fuck fuck....
Daryl Ruiter ‏ @ RuiterWrongFAN Ngata said he was on the phone w/ # Browns before trade went down; good thing they still have Kamerion Wimbley - oh, wait.... never mind -
Commander of Awesome
I was beyond furious when the Browns passed on Ngata. He was the guy I wanted the entire time. To trade back and give it to the Ratbirds too... Least we got Lawrence Vickers out of it! /sarcasmBR1986FB;1309052 wrote:Fucking fuck fuck mother fuck grab your ankles for Ozzie like a little prison bitch Phil Savage mother fuck fuck....

Wasn't that the draft that Savage was wearing his "lucky" Ravens t-shirt under his dress shirt? EDIT: That being said, Fat Boy Crennel is just as much to blame as Savage asked him if he wanted "the run stuffer or the pass rusher" and Crennel went with the latter. -
Commander of AwesomePass Rusher would have been nice, except Wimpy wasn't one. Just a bust all around.

I know you hate Cribbs, think he is washed up, whatever..but all I gotta say is #2 in the league in kickoff returns and punt returns. He still does his job, and well. -
GameoverI think the reason he's having some more success is he's focusing on special teams like Shurmur wanted him to. Now he he is trying to shift his focus to being more on offense. The more he is on offense, the more I think they struggle. Let our current WRs get the reps they need and let Cribbs do his job in special teams.

And half of the league is within 3 yards of him on kickoff returns so I take that #2 ranking with a grain of salt.Pick6;1309087 wrote:This isnt directly related to your comment.

He's lost a step. The ones he's kind of broke this year would've been TD's a few years ago plus every time he gets hit you have to cross your fingers he doesn't fumble.
Dude is a shell of his former self.
